Su Yan is heartbroken after her divorce from Wei Zhou. Reflecting on their three-year marriage, she realizes he never loved her, especially now that his 'cinnabar mole' has returned. She recalls a traumatic event from her youth where a young Wei Zhou saved her from attackers, marking the beginning of her unrequited love.

“Xiao Xiao, what hour is it?” Su Yan murmured, rubbing her eyes. Her eyes were quite dry from crying so much yesterday.

“Master, it’s 7:10 in the morning,” Xiao Xiao’s cute voice replied, its large eyes blinking on the screen.

Su Yan got up to wash. Yesterday, she had made arrangements with Wei Zhou to go to the Civil Affairs Bureau for their divorce.

While applying makeup, she paid special attention to her eye makeup, ensuring no one could tell she had been crying.

She donned a French chiffon shirt with a high waist and a pair of leggings, complemented by light British stilettos. Her long, wavy brown hair cascaded casually over her shoulders, and her lips were adorned with mauve lipstick. Her style and attire exuded an exceptional temperament.

Even though she was getting a divorce, she had to be full of mettle and definitely could not lose her imposing manner.

“Xiao Xiao, I’m going to get a divorce!” Su Yan declared.

“Happy break-up. I wish you happiness. You can find a better one…” Xiao Xiao sang playfully, then paused.

“You’re right, I can find a better one!” Su Yan affirmed with a nod.

Precisely at eight o’clock, Su Yan departed her residence.

The garage door slowly ascended, revealing a red convertible sports car.

The Porsche 718 was her exclusive vehicle, though she had never driven it before. Previously, she found it too ostentatious, but now... she wanted to live for herself.

...

8:45 AM, at the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau.

In recent years, the nation's divorce rate had surged dramatically. Currently, there wasn't a single couple present for marriage registrations.

Just as Su Yan alighted from her car, a silver Mercedes S400 slowly came to a halt. Wei Zhou had arrived.

Su Yan proceeded directly towards the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau, having no desire to converse with him.

Observing Su Yan, who exuded an imposing aura, Wei Zhou raised his eyebrows slightly, while his secretary, Li Rong, let out a sneer.

Shortly, Wei Zhou reached Su Yan’s side, his expression returning to one of impassivity.

Su Yan produced a divorce agreement and stated without turning her head, “It’s the same as yesterday’s. If there are no objections, just sign it!”

She understood Wei Zhou all too well; she had purposefully printed two copies, anticipating he wouldn’t take it seriously.

“Are you serious?” Wei Zhou inquired coldly.

Su Yan offered a bitter smile. In Wei Zhou’s eyes, was she truly that unbearable?

“Our affinity has reached its end. There’s no point in discussing it further. Let’s hurry and sign so we can settle this once the doors open,” Su Yan urged.

Wei Zhou’s cold demeanor finally shifted. Gazing at the agreement in Su Yan’s hand, he experienced an unfamiliar sensation. Su Yan was not like this in the past.

“Fine, I’ll sign it!” Wei Zhou conceded, accepting the agreement.

Since Su Yan was determined to leave, then so be it. At least she now recognized what was best for her!

The pen's tip glided across the paper. With every stroke, it felt like a sharp pierce into Su Yan’s heart.

Hold it in, don’t cry. Su Yan, you must remain strong!

Witnessing Su Yan’s apparent indifference, Wei Zhou’s eyes twitched. He had suspected she was merely putting on an act, expecting her to beg him not to divorce at the crucial moment.

“Everyone, please don’t crowd. Take your number and form a line!”

The Civil Affairs Bureau doors opened, and a security guard announced.

Su Yan remained silent, walking in with her head held high. Wei Zhou followed, his face devoid of expression.

“One last confirmation. Have the two of you truly decided to divorce?” the staff member inquired. “Are there any disagreements regarding marital property?”

“Yes.” Wei Zhou confirmed with an indifferent tone.

His response struck Su Yan’s soul like a bullet.

At this moment, she had harbored a sliver of hope that Wei Zhou might hesitate. However, he remained as indifferent and exceedingly cold as ever.

Wei Zhou, you are truly a man I can never hope to melt!

“Clang! Clang!” Two stamps echoed.

“Alright, it is finalized. Here are your divorce certificates. We wish you both the best,” the staff member stated, presenting the two certificates.

Su Yan took a deep breath and accepted her divorce papers, placing them into her bag before turning to face Wei Zhou. She forced a smile and said, “Wei Zhou, from this moment on, we are no longer husband and wife. Congratulations, you have finally rid yourself of a woman like me. I wish you happiness. Goodbye!”

Su Yan stood and departed before she could finish speaking. The instant she turned away, her eyes involuntarily welled up with tears.

The joy she had felt upon receiving her marriage certificate three years ago was now matched by the heartbreak she was currently experiencing.

...

In the parking lot of the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Wei Zhou and Li Rong walked past, brushing by Su Yan without a backward glance.

Watching Wei Zhou enter his car, Su Yan’s heart sank, filled with an indescribable sadness.

"Shua!" A sleek black Bugatti sports car abruptly entered the parking space, halting directly before Su Yan. The driver's side door swung open, revealing a man sporting striking red sunglasses. "Who are you...?" Su Yan's brow furrowed slightly. Before she could fully process his presence, the man unfurled his arms and enveloped her in a tight embrace. "My dearest Su Yan, I have missed you terribly!" he exclaimed, holding her close. This man was Lin Zhenhui, a rapidly ascending star, immensely popular wherever he went, with hordes of adoring fans in his wake. He had starred in several critically acclaimed films over the last couple of years and had just clinched the best newcomer award merely two days prior.
