Chapter 1328: Chapter 543: Seeing Charles Again! Reincarnation of the Netherworld God!
“A gift?”
Su Ping looked at him with great interest, then asked casually, “If both you and I are this reincarnation, then who will the Netherworld God actually be in the end?”
Charles was taken aback for a moment before bursting into laughter.
“Su Ping, I know your concerns! If possible, we could complete the fusion of our souls beneath the Soul Fire of the Netherworld God.
“You know my abilities! The two of us are the hope for Breeders in this world. If you and I were to merge, what else in the entire world could possibly stand in our way?
“By then, we might not just be the Netherworld God! With our combined efforts, we could even conquer and unify the entirety of Blue Star, and perhaps even the surrounding galaxies!
“When that time comes, together we will be the masters of this great civilization—the Emperor! And our names will achieve Eternal Immortality!
“Of course, if you are unwilling, you can still exist as your own separate entity. Furthermore, when the time comes to excavate the other two Heavenly Tombs in the future,
“I can make the decision to gift you one of the shares. We can enjoy this Power together, how about that?”
One had to admit, these words seemingly left no room or reason for anyone to refuse. Yet Su Ping simply replied calmly,
“Lord Charles, I believe that to have made it this far, you are no idiot. You might actually believe these words yourself, but I don’t.
“Why would you share Power and authority for no reason with someone who has absolutely no connection to you?”
However, Charles remained just as before, simply waving his hand.
“No, no, no. Su Ping, you underestimate me! Half of the Netherworld God’s Power and authority is undeniably tempting.
“I believe in you. Only you can be this person. Otherwise, not even my dearest idol could meet my requirements!
“Together, you and I might actually be able to discover the secrets of eternal life based on the foundation of the Netherworld God, right?
“But I also know that unless we are truly in the same boat, you won’t—and would have no reason to—help me with everything you’ve got!”
Su Ping narrowed his eyes slightly. It had to be said that if what the man before him was saying was true, his vision was indeed incredibly grand. Or rather, this guy was a true researcher who could sacrifice a great deal for these pursuits.
After a moment of thought, Su Ping continued to ask, “If things are truly as you say, what will I gain, and what will I need to give up?”
Hearing Su Ping’s question, Charles beamed with a wide smile.
“Compared to what you stand to gain, what you have to give up is hardly worth mentioning, isn’t it? More importantly, now that you possess the Celestial Tomb Mark—which is a sliver of the Netherworld God’s soul—if you do not inherit the Netherworld God’s Power, I’m afraid you will be tormented by that mark for the rest of your life.
“As for what you must give up, it’s very simple. It’s just your mortal flesh, nothing more! You don’t need to worry.
“When the time comes, all you need to do is let your soul enter this Sword of Death and completely merge with the Netherworld God Mark inside it!
“Whether it’s this Sword of Death or the future Undying Body, both can serve as vessels for your soul. In fact, once your Realm improves slightly, your soul will be able to operate perfectly outside the vessel.
“At the same time, you can retain your Pet Beasts. This is also an invention resulting from my research during this period of Time. Heh, Su Ping, now you understand, don’t you?
“This way, you can simultaneously possess the greatest abilities of a Human Beastmaster and the Power of the Netherworld God. This is something countless people wouldn’t even dare to dream of.”
With that said, Charles leaped down directly from the throne, landing in front of the Dark Sword. He waved his hand, dispersing much of the rippling aura of Darkness around it. The grayish-white Flame reflecting in the pupils of his soul blazed intensely as he looked at Su Ping with eager anticipation.
“Come, Su Ping. Let us embark on the path to eternity together!”
At that moment, the Sword of Death was entirely revealed before Su Ping’s eyes.
Just what kind of sword was it? Its entire body was pitch-black. The only slight variance was at the hilt, where the texture felt somewhat different, as if it were crafted from a special kind of black bone.
Just a single glance made it seem as though countless Souls were wailing upon its blade, exuding an aura of Death that could chill everything into absolute stillness.
The Sword of Death was one of the four most important remains of the Netherworld God. It was blindingly obvious what Level this item was.
Su Ping’s soul simply stared at it. The grayish-white Flame between his brows also burned ever more fiercely at this moment, casting a pale glow over the entirety of his soul’s visage.
This made the smile on Charles’s lips grow wider. Finally, mirroring Charles’s widening grin, Su Ping smiled as well.
“Alright. But before that, you need to promise me one thing first!”
