Cheng Su informs her family of her decision to open a seafood shop, prompting discussions with both her parents and her in-laws. While her father encourages her to consult her husband, Qi Taiguo, her mother-in-law expresses concerns about the business's potential success and funding. Her father-in-law, however, trusts her capability and advises support. Meanwhile, Cheng Su's parents also discuss her growing ambition.

Cheng Su brought Qi Xiaoqi to visit Old Master Cheng once more, and it happened that Cheng Yaozong and his wife were also present. Xiao Qi was incredibly well-behaved and always smiling. His eldest sister-in-law was so taken with him that she held him without letting go, and even the second sister-in-law showed considerable affection, eventually taking him off to play. This left Cheng Su to discuss business matters regarding the shop with Old Master Cheng and Cheng Yaozong.

"...Selling dried seafood? What prompted this sudden idea?" Cheng Yaozong found the matter rather peculiar.

Cheng Su chuckled, "Yesterday, I surveyed the shop's location and spent most of the day exploring the area. The spot is excellent, and surprisingly, no one is currently engaged in this trade. I reasoned that just renting out the space wouldn't yield much income. It would be far more profitable to manage the business myself, hence this new venture!"

Cheng Yaozong and Old Master Cheng exchanged knowing glances before Cheng Yaozong commented, "Isn't that street already quite crowded with clothing stores? Seafood seems rather unconventional!"

"Various businesses thrive on that street. However, my seafood venture would be unique, meaning less direct competition!" Cheng Su explained. "Perhaps once I establish myself, others might eventually follow suit!"

Indeed, trends often catch on.

"Currently, seafood suppliers typically source from well-established restaurants; their products are genuine and the quality is assured," Cheng Yaozong noted. "If you were to open a shop..."

"Are you implying, second brother, that I cannot possibly compete with those established names?" Cheng Su queried with a smile.

Cheng Yaozong remained silent, but his expression clearly conveyed agreement.

"Second brother, dried seafood has always been a staple. However, families with limited means could scarcely afford it, let alone contemplate purchasing from high-end establishments. But now, as people's living standards improve, their purchasing power will gradually increase. Since I'm just starting, my focus isn't on exclusively catering to the luxury market but rather serving the general populace. This approach should be more sustainable than simply collecting rent!" Cheng Su stated calmly. "Naturally, this doesn't mean I'll only offer lower-quality goods. I intend to stock both premium and superior selections, alongside products at more accessible price points for everyday customers. This way, everyone can find something to suit their needs."

"So, you've thoroughly considered this?" Old Master Cheng inquired.

Cheng Su nodded, "I barely slept last night. I spent most of the night contemplating it, and now I have a fairly solid plan in motion."

"No wonder your eyelids are so dark," Old Master Cheng observed, pointing to her undereye circles with a tone of reproach. "When can business not wait? Don't neglect your rest, skipping meals and losing sleep. You're young but ruining your health. Look at your second brother; he diligently takes his health supplements daily. I suspect you're planning to follow in his footsteps..."

Both siblings felt a pang of awkwardness under the mild scolding. Cheng Yaozong let out a soft cough, covering his mouth with his fist, while Cheng Su moved to sit beside Old Master Cheng, affectionately hugging his arm. "Isn't it just that I got excited thinking about this significant business opportunity? After all, it's the very shop you gifted to our Xiao Qi. It would be a waste to leave it idle. I want to build it up and make it prosperous, honoring your intentions, right?"

Old Master Cheng, though softened, maintained a deliberately stern facade. "But that's no reason for you to lose sleep over it!"

"That was my mistake. I won't dare to do it again!" Cheng Su replied meekly, retracting her 'claws'.

Old Master Cheng chuckled with mock annoyance. "You... Selling seafood is also a good idea. Whether for consumption or sale, you have your own restaurant, so you won't have to worry about sales channels. It's just that our family has never ventured into this particular business. Old Second, you..."

"I'll explore my connections to see who is involved in this trade and help my little sister establish some useful contacts," Cheng Yaozong understood and readily offered.

Old Master Cheng, greatly pleased, nodded. "These are all relatively small ventures. In my opinion, it would be more beneficial for you to follow in your second brother's footsteps with real estate and land speculation..."

Cheng Su interjected, "I believe opening a Seafood Shop is also convenient for showing filial piety to you and respect to my brothers and sisters-in-law. Real estate can wait for a more opportune future."

Old Master Cheng found himself helpless against her charming demeanor, yet he secretly reveled in it. Cheng Yaozong mused that it was true how daughters seemed to hold a special place; Old Master Cheng was clearly quite fond of this approach.
