Cheng Su and Qi Taiguo share an intimate night after a long period of separation. Cheng Su expresses concern about her body after childbirth affecting their intimacy, but Qi Taiguo reassures her of his satisfaction and love. He speaks of his happiness with their family and future prospects, while Cheng Su advises him against complacency and the challenges of raising a child.

Raising a child occupied Cheng Su's days. She had always imagined that having a little one would be incredibly demanding, but the reality proved to be quite different, largely due to her exceptionally well-behaved son, Qi Xiaoqi.

Ning Ge had returned to the Capital and was immersed in business collaborations with Cheng Yaozu. Over at Joy Soon Loy Company, although Xiao Pinshan had been promoted to boss, he was still undergoing a probationary period. Cheng Su couldn't completely step away, so she would still visit the company occasionally to manage affairs, not to mention the ongoing responsibilities at the restaurant.

Each time she ventured out, her thoughts were invariably with her son. Even though his meals were pre-expressed and flash-frozen in bottles, ready to be heated, or in a pinch, there was always formula. Still, the baby was so young, and she worried he might fuss if she wasn't present.

However, every single time she returned home from an outing, the first question directed to her mother was whether Qi Xiaoqi had cried. The answer, without fail, was always no.

Cheng Su couldn't help but let out a sigh, feeling immensely fortunate to have such an easily managed child.

As he overheard his mother's contented sigh, Qi Xiaoqi inwardly rolled his eyes. With no one around to witness, why bother expending the energy to cry? It would simply be a waste of effort!

The days spent playing with Qi Xiaoqi seemed to melt away, and before she knew it, the new semester was upon them.

Cheng Su gave the baby an early feeding, expressed a full bottle of milk, and informed Qi Xiaoqi of her destination before handing him over to her mother and heading off to school.

In September, the campus was perfumed with the sweet scent of osmanthus flowers. Cheng Su, breathing in the fragrant air, felt a sense of rejuvenation. The campus was also alive with the bustle of many new faces.

"Junior Sister Cheng Su."

Ming Xiaofan, sporting a pair of sneakers, jogged towards her. Cheng Su returned his greeting with a warm smile, "Senior Brother."

"My goodness, you’ve put on a bit of weight!" Ming Xiaofan exclaimed, his eyes scanning her from head to toe.

He truly was remarkably candid!

Gritting her teeth slightly, Cheng Su remarked, "Senior Brother certainly doesn't mince words."

Ming Xiaofan chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "That's just how I am. Please don't take it to heart, Junior Sister. I've been waiting for you, actually, and was starting to worry you wouldn't make it today. Has the baby been doing well at home? Is it a boy or a girl?"

"It's a boy, born on the 7th of July, and he's very well-behaved," Cheng Su replied with a smile. "What were you waiting for me for?"

Ming Xiaofan walked alongside her, explaining, "I'll prepare a gift for your child later." He then added, "I wasn't waiting for anything specific, just wanted to chat with you about company matters. This is my final year at university. The company's business is developing well, and since I'm in my last year, I'll be focusing more on work and internships, spending less time on campus and more time at the company. If you need anything, feel free to come to the company or give me a call!"

Cheng Su nodded in understanding. "I'm just a shareholder, so I don't have much to trouble you with. I'm mainly just looking forward to the dividends. Will there be any this year?"

Ming Xiaofan rubbed his hands together. "I believe there will be, though perhaps not a large amount."

"No worries, these are just initial investments. Once the business matures, it will naturally improve," Cheng Su reassured him. "Do you have any strategies for the company's expansion? I might have some useful connections!"

Even as a mere shareholder, the desire to see profitable returns was universal. While Cheng Su wouldn't actively meddle in Ming Xiaofan's day-to-day operations, she was certainly willing to offer her connections for the company's ultimate benefit.

Ming Xiaofan's eyes lit up. "I was precisely hoping you'd say that!"

He enthusiastically outlined the company's growth strategies, which primarily involved expanding into larger cities known for greater opportunities. Fortunately, Cheng Su possessed valuable connections in both the Beijing and Guangdong regions.
