Two of Lisa's Vampires, including a powerful Vampire Knight, have been mysteriously eliminated in Atrium City, their Blood Essences vanishing completely. Lisa, recognizing the threat posed by an unknown assailant with the means to destroy Vampires so thoroughly, decides to accelerate her plans. She sets her sights on Lumen, a prosperous city known for its trade, as her next target. Lisa dispatches three of her elite Vampire Knights, led by Palez, to infiltrate Lumen, establish a network, and bring the city under her control subtly, while also investigating potential involvement of the Dwarves.

Lisa’s influence in Atrium City was still growing, but there was no reason to wait until the entire city was completely under her control before expanding elsewhere. As long as she maintained a steady pace, she could establish several networks simultaneously and connect them into a much larger intelligence system.

Eventually, she would have eyes and ears throughout the Valor Realm.

And once she possessed enough information, she could decide which territories deserved her attention, which organizations needed to be eliminated, and which powerful individuals might prove useful.

"Let’s see what kind of surprises Lumen has to offer."

A faint smile appeared on her face.

She had expected the Valor Realm to be a relatively unremarkable world, one where her power and knowledge would allow her to advance with little resistance.

However, it seemed that this would be more exciting than she initially thought.

Just like that, Lisa rose from her chair and walked toward the balcony. Far below, the streets surrounding the Dark Arts Tower remained crowded with adventurers, merchants, and curious visitors. The city continued its daily activities, unaware that its administration and security had already begun to fall under the influence of a hidden ruler.

Soon, another city would join it.

And after Lumen, there would be others.

Lisa had no intention of stopping at two.

Another week passed.

During that time, Lisa’s influence over Lumen City had grown considerably. The three Vampire Knights she had dispatched were efficient, and Palez had proven himself capable of coordinating their operations without attracting unnecessary attention.

They had started by identifying the people who held the most influence over the city. From there, they gradually established connections with merchants, guards, administrators, and several officials responsible for managing trade and taxation.

Some were easily persuaded by wealth and promises of greater authority. Others were already involved in corruption and needed little encouragement to cooperate. Those who proved difficult to influence were observed carefully until the Vampire Knights discovered their weaknesses.

By the end of the week, Lisa’s subordinates had established a reliable information network throughout Lumen.

Well, no matter how strong Lisa was, she didn’t really like to spread her Blood Essence.

After all, every time she turned someone into a high-ranking Vampire, it would cost her.

Because of that, she had to be creative... She had to combine forceful control and also learn how to use people... She didn’t have to turn everyone into a Vampire.

Just like that, she now had several important officials under her influence, while a few had been transformed into Vampires. The latter were carefully selected, ensuring that their new existence would not draw suspicion from those around them.

The city’s inhabitants noticed little difference in their daily lives.

Well, aside from the increase in supplies being sent to Atrium City, there wasn’t much change...

Merchants continued trading, adventurers accepted commissions, and the guards maintained order along the streets. If anything, certain administrative matters had become more efficient because Lisa’s subordinates were quietly directing resources toward the areas they considered important.

Lumen was not completely under her control yet, but the foundation had been established.

Palez’s latest report had pleased her enough that she had already begun considering which city to target after Lumen.

However, the Valor Realm was proving more interesting than she had initially expected.

And the reason had nothing to do with Lumen.

Inside the Dark Arts Tower, Lisa sat behind her desk, examining several reports brought to her by her subordinates.

Most concerned ordinary matters. Information about merchants, adventurers, suspicious individuals, and movements between neighboring cities had become a regular part of her daily routine. Her network in Atrium City was expanding as well, and she had begun receiving information from places that had previously been difficult to monitor.

Then she came across a report from one of the scouts she had sent beyond the city.

Her expression gradually became more serious as she read through it.

"So, the Order of the Sky Sword isn’t the only organization paying attention to me."

Lisa placed the report on her desk and leaned back in her chair.

She had already expected the Order to investigate the Dark Arts Tower. Its members had been among the first to notice the changes in Atrium City, and their commander, Arthur, was clearly not someone who would ignore a mysterious structure appearing near an important city.

What she had not expected was that the matter would immediately attract the attention of several foreign nations so quickly.

As expected, she learned more about their method in just a few days of investigating...

According to her scout, Arthur had contacted three powerful organizations through an ancient communication artifact known as the World Mirror.

The first was the White Wolf Legion of the Kingdom of Varyag, commanded by a Grand Knight named Svetlana Volskaya.

The second was the Iron Bear Guard of the Empire of Volgrad, led by another Grand Knight named Lelouch.

The third was the Silver Veil Society of the Grand Duchy of Ruslan, an organization known for its expertise in ancient civilizations, mystical artifacts, forgotten formations, and supernatural phenomena.

All three organizations had agreed to investigate the Dark Arts Tower.

Lisa’s lips curved slightly as she considered the implications.

"How thoughtful of them. They are even bringing their neighbors into the matter."

She was not particularly concerned about the names themselves. Grand Knights were certainly stronger than ordinary warriors, and their organizations possessed considerable resources, but such things were not enough to make her afraid.

What interested her was the fact that these nations had begun coordinating their actions.

The Valor Realm might lack true Arcanists, but that did not mean its people were incapable of recognizing a threat. The existence of the Dwarves had already demonstrated that this world possessed ancient knowledge and technology that Lisa had not fully understood.

Now, three more organizations were moving.

She picked up another page and continued reading.

The White Wolf Legion had begun dispatching scouts to investigate whether anything connected to the tower had appeared within Varyag’s territory.

Svetlana had also decided to consult the Guardians in her region, suggesting that she considered the matter serious enough to seek information from those who possessed knowledge beyond ordinary military affairs.

The Iron Bear Guard had taken similar precautions. Lelouch had agreed to send some of Volgrad’s best scouts to investigate the situation and determine whether the tower represented a threat to the empire.

Unlike the White Wolf Legion, however, Volgrad was known for its willingness to experiment with methods that other nations considered unacceptable. Lisa’s scout had also uncovered rumors surrounding Lelouch’s unusual physical capabilities, though the details remained incomplete.

Finally, there was the Silver Veil Society.

Lisa paused when she reached that section of the report...

"Interesting... I guess we need to welcome these people soon."
