Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy Chapter 1132: Invitations
Previously on Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy...
The Pontiff remained kneeling as he reported to the Immortal...
Sabrina Hoffman didn’t react after hearing the Pontiff’s words.
At this time, she continued observing the people outside using her own Divine Sense... For a moment, her presence seemed suffocating, yet she just remained silent.
After a few moments, Sabrina felt satisfied and extended her hand. Soon, a black‑bound grimoire materialized in her palm. Its cover was designed with several eyes as though alive, and from the aura coming from it, it was definitely one of those Forbidden Books.
She placed the book upon the desk before him.
"Teach the two children what lies within..." she commanded. "Cassian and Selene must learn its contents before the new Academic Year begins. Three months is enough. When they step into the Marshall Academy, they will carry my mark."
The Pontiff bowed as he knew that he had no say in this matter...
His hands shook as he accepted the grimoire. He dared not open it here since even the faint aura leaking from its pages made his soul quiver.
"It shall be done, Lady Sabrina..." he whispered.
Satisfied, Sabrina dismissed him...
As the doors closed behind him, she was finally alone in the chamber.
For a moment, there was only silence...
Then, after confirming that the Pontiff could no longer hear her, Sabrina exhaled softly.
Suddenly, the shadows at her feet stirred. They stretched unnaturally, peeling away from the corners of the room like living vines. With a subtle gesture, she cast a spell...
The shadows slithered outward, and, of course, this was invisible to mortal eyes. Just like that, it seeped beneath the doors and crawled across the cathedral’s corridors. One by one, they found their targets... the five Sorcerers and their disciples.
Neris. Selene. Ryan. Cassian. Ariel.
The shadows she released on her side slipped into these people’s shadows. They embedded themselves without being noticed!
There were no traces of pain or sensation... only a hidden link to their shadows...
’Perfect...’
Sabrina’s eyes glowed faintly as she confirmed the connection. She could track them now, watch their progress, and intervene whenever she wished.
"Good," she whispered. "Now I will know everything."
The spell then faded, and the chamber returned to stillness.
Sabrina walked back to her desk, where another book lay open.
This one was quite new, containing the latest information around the continent. As she read the open page, she couldn’t help but sigh.
"To think that the Hoffman Family fell like this..." she muttered.
The Hoffman Family, once a pillar of the Dark Arts Faction, had collapsed in disgrace. Betrayals, failed experiments, and purges had scattered them.
Nonetheless, there were still remnants of the Hoffman Family, and she could save them.
She had risen beyond the ashes of her bloodline, carving her own path in the Shadow Realm as one of the high officials of the Luminis Hold.
By all logic, she should never have been able to cross into the human realm. The barriers between worlds were absolute. Yet here she was, not only present but already pulling strings within the Church of the Divine Sorcerer.
’Vale... Thank you for leaving some traces...’ She muttered. Although Vale’s transfer was protected by Shadowlord Kilo, the Luminis Hold was able to find traces of it and were able to follow him through this realm.
Unfortunately, since she wasn’t protected by Vale’s natural affinity to the Will of the Realm, she suffered heavily during the transfer and had weakened a lot.
Perhaps, she could only show her strength as a Lesser Immortal right now.
Nonetheless, now that she was here, she just needed to slowly return to her peak... and although she wanted to make contact with the Hoffman Family, she was worried that Vale had people observing the family, and if she tried to help them, her presence here might get noticed.
Sabrina leaned back in her chair as she stretched her arms out.
"It should only take me a year or two..."
Her lips then curved faintly as she recalled how the fate of this realm was actually so close to Vale’s territory.. "Vale... Sooner or later, you will see me again. When you do, you will understand why I came."

News of the prophecy did not remain confined to the churches.
Somehow, word reached the great factions and organizations of the continent. Furthermore, some had Seers who confirmed the signs, while others simply followed the growing trend, and lastly, more received direct invitations from the Academy’s recruiters.
Whatever the reason, the Marshall Academy was becoming the center of destiny, and no power dared to be absent.
The Dark Arts Faction also made their move...
Their elders from the Moontomb, Featherstar, Vermont, and other top clans of the Faction, debated fiercely within their hidden fortress.
For centuries, they had trained their own Dark Magicians within their own academy or, in most cases, within their family’s sacred grounds, yet their Dark Seers advised them otherwise...
They couldn’t ignore these words.
Reluctantly, they agreed. Their finest young disciples, children whose blood carried the taint and brilliance of shadowcraft, were withdrawn from their secret schools and prepared for the journey.
The Rune Arts Faction did the same... They were masters of inscription and binding, and they had long believed their craft too specialized for any other academies.
They believed only the Adaereth Academy of Rune Arts could teach what their children should learn.
But when Marshall Academy’s recruiters arrived bearing proof of entire wings dedicated to rune research of Immortals, the Rune Masters saw opportunity.
They hoped this would forge a new generation of Runemasters...
In the meantime, the Transformation Arts Faction resisted at first. Their academies were secretive, their arts were controversial since reshaping flesh and spirit was taboo in some orthodox churches.
Yet their Seers said similar things...
And so, their elite youths, shapeshifters, beast‑blooded prodigies, and rare transformation talents were sent to Marshall Academy...
Vale was, of course, fully aware of what was happening, and he couldn’t help but like this response from other factions and organizations.
’I haven’t mentioned my plan to anyone yet, but I guess their Seers are a lot better than I thought...’ Vale thought as he was indeed planning something huge at the start of the Academic Year.
