Ethan and his squad unexpectedly arrived through a spatial rift, drastically altering Miles's plans for reinforcement. The Azure Nereids, initially present to offer aid, departed, leaving their commander to ponder Ethan's seemingly impossible spatial abilities. Meanwhile, Ethan instructed Miles to prioritize upgrading non-combat personnel and began creating stronger soulless thralls using newly acquired Stage S bodies.
