"Make a move, now!"
Just as the monstrous entity was about to breach the water's surface, both sides had already reacted. A chilling mist materialized above the nuclear submarine, causing the roiling waters of the Deep Water Port to flash-freeze. The creature's forceful impact shattered the ice, which then reformed into vast slabs that were instantly broken again.
From the Infinity, Ryuji burst forth from the crew hatch, launching an aerial assault that severed the colossal tentacles ensnaring the vessel. Simultaneously, he projected a Telekinesis Wave, shielding both the nuclear submarine and the Infinity. Three figures materialized atop the robust housing of the cabin – Brother Huo, Monica, and Ah Bai, all potent superpower users with extensive offensive capabilities. Their powers, the Burning Flame Sword, a laser beam, and the stealthy Sound Roar Sword, were unleashed in rapid succession.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The lights illuminating the gantry above the Deep Water Port flickered erratically. Flames and laser beams bathed the enclosed cavern in a chaotic glow. The creature that had emerged from the depths revealed only a portion of its immense body. Its colossal mass pressed against both the Infinity and the nuclear submarine, a horrifying fusion of a whale skull and a deep-sea worm. Millions of multifaceted eyes swirled within fissures on its cranium, and rows of spiraling teeth within its gaping maw emitted a low-frequency hum that seemed to pull at the soul.
As Brother Huo and his companions unleashed their barrage, the monster's Biological Force Field instantly imploded. The whale skull fractured, erupting in a torrent of viscous Black Blood. Only a fraction of its torso was visible above the water. The creature recoiled violently from the onslaught and began a desperate charge towards the passage above.
"Going to flee?!" Brother Huo brandished his sword, poised to deliver a decisive blow.
Witnessing this, Monica's expression shifted, and she urgently declared, "Its target isn't us; it's heading upwards!"
"Lin Xian?" Chen Sixuan seemed to grasp the situation and was about to speak when Lin Xian's voice finally cut through the comms.
"Dive! Dive!"
With a thunderous roar, as Lin Xian's warning faded, the entire submarine base began to tremble violently. The water's surface churned, the ground convulsed, and rocks and cavern walls continuously crumbled, causing the upper sections to collapse.
"Lin Xian is marked! Quickly, subdue it!"
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Monica swiftly checked her own marked status. Finding no active illumination, she immediately called out to Ryuji.
At that precise moment, the structure above detonated in a violent explosion. The creature, having breached the surface, burrowed upwards with frantic speed. Its serpentine torso, hundreds of meters long and adorned with black and white stripes, almost entirely filled the cavernous space of the submerged port. Its slick hide exuded a terrifying sheen.
Ryuji took the lead, soaring forward with open palms, attempting to restrain the colossal entity with all his might. Meanwhile, a searing, brilliant beam lanced out from the smoke above, accompanied by a destructive wave of energy that vaporized the air, carving a gaping, bloody wound through the monster's skull. Emerging from the swirling gray-black smoke, Lin Xian and KIKI appeared from the creature's wound, followed by Viola and the tattered remnants of the drone swarm.
"Lin Xian, what happened?"
"No time for explanations." Noticing Brother Huo and Ah Bai still preparing to attack, Lin Xian flew directly towards the Infinity: "Get aboard, we're diving."
"This monster?" Brother Huo exclaimed, surprised to see the enormous creature still thrashing its body, clearly not defeated.
"Leave it!" KIKI yelled. "This place is about to go critical, there's no time!"
Before KIKI could finish, Monica had already pulled Ah Bai along, swiftly following Lin Xian into the cabin. Brother Huo, casting a glance at the churning Black Water beneath his feet, his expression flickering, swallowed hard and quickly joined Ryuji inside.
Hiss~
The inner chamber of the deep-sea vessel sealed shut, and ascent protocols were initiated. Returning to the Infinity, Lin Xian instructed Viola,
"Pressurize and dive immediately!"
"Ryan, maintain our rear position."
"Understood." Ryan immediately relayed orders to his crew: "Tilt to fifteen degrees, flood the main ballast tanks!" With a deep hum from the submarine's hydraulic pumps, pipes instantly swelled, and the hull began its descent.
Meanwhile, the Infinity, a train vessel, broke through the water's surface, commencing a rapid descent into the ocean depths. Those on board experienced a sudden pitching of the deck, even rotating to a vertical position. Departing from the submarine's parallel dive, the Infinity plunged like a colossal black dragon. Gazing through the cabin's portholes, the view was instantly swallowed by the murky Black Water. The stress-resistant hull resonated with a metallic hum under immense pressure, while the propeller emitted a powerful roar, churning the remnants of the monster's limbs into the water as the vessel descended swiftly.
Boom!!
Almost simultaneously as both vehicles entered the water, the entirety of the submarine base's mountain cavern gave way with a thunderous collapse. Boulders rained down as the contorted, black-and-white sea monster attempted to submerge. However, its fractured skull was directly impacted by the falling colossal rocks. The path that had been ascending erupted with countless insectoid creatures, reminiscent of Black Water, now submerged in a torrent of burning rock and bubbling magma, pursuing Lin Xian.
Glug glug glug!
Below the stifling confines of the Deep Water Port, the once expansive waterway was now reduced to a narrow passage, detectable only by underwater sonar and scanning systems. Upon entering Carriage 2, Lin Xian peered out the porthole to observe the exterior. The gargantuan, mottled black-and-white body of a sea monster, its diameter easily spanning tens of meters, stretched into the seemingly endless abyss, inducing a chilling sensation.
"This monstrosity wormed its way into the passage from the Deep Water Port. My word, what a colossal sea serpent!"
KIKI, witnessing the undulating black-and-white patterns outside, couldn't help but shiver.
"It's still moving, preparing to strike again. It appears all threats, both from the sea and the island, are converging here," Lin Xian stated urgently.
KIKI responded, "There are only 600 meters remaining to clear the cliff passage and reach the open deep sea. With this creature obstructing our path, I suspect a swarm of sea monsters awaits us beyond the passage."
"Lin Xian, how much time do we have left?" Chen Sixuan inquired, noting Lin Xian's distinct marker and deducing the critical need for an immediate dive.
Lin Xian, breathing heavily, turned to face Chen Sixuan, Monica, Brother Huo, and the others, his voice grave.
"17 seconds."
The instant these words were uttered, the pupils of everyone present dilated in shock!
Without another word, Lin Xian immediately gripped a suspended corridor handle. Utilizing the thrusters on his Power Armor, he rapidly propelled himself towards Carriage 3. Within Carriage 3, a dense jungle of vines had formed, with numerous tentacle-like green growths ensnaring falling instruments, a Cultivation Chamber, and other equipment, halting their descent.
Standing `vertically` on the floor, Ding Junyi remained composed, wielding countless vines from behind her, safeguarding Xiao Yuan, Miao Lu, and several Disaster Plants, including the Hell Black Chrysanthemum. The scene was profoundly unsettling.
"Captain Lin!" Xiao Yuan exclaimed upon Lin Xian's arrival.
Miao Lu, clinging to a vine, urgently added, "Just a little longer."
"How much longer?"
Lin Xian immediately turned to Ding Junyi, observing her pale countenance. Her superpower eyes blazed intensely, and the numerous Blood Crystals she possessed had disintegrated into sand, with only a few Level 3 Blood Crystals remaining intact.
Beep beep, beep beep.
A warning tone emanated from Lin Xian's watch, signaling the impending arrival of nightfall.
However, night was not the immediate concern. He bore a Level 4 mark, the geothermal well's explosive device was set to detonate, and the Infinity was rapidly approaching the deep-sea cliff. Lin Xian intended to deploy the Silver Dragon Ten Thousand Mistakes technique at the precise moment of the explosion, coinciding with the eradication of the Black Insect, to achieve instantaneous disappearance before the deep-sea sea monsters. Only then could he enter a state of stealth within that fleeting moment.
Even if he succeeded in evading the mark's pursuit, it would merely signify passage through the initial gate of hell.
Hum, hum, hum. As the Infinity continued its steep downward trajectory, numerous objects tumbled within the carriages. Despite prior preparations, considerable disarray ensued.
Fortunately, the individuals in Carriage 2 were stabilized by KIKI's telekinetic abilities. In Carriage 5, Da Lou braced a rack of equipment with his own body, simultaneously shielding Sun Yuzhen and Mo Xiaotian, the mother and son pair huddled in a corridor corner. Meanwhile, Shu Qin, Luo Yang, Vanessa, and others flanked the regular members at the rear.
Presently, the Infinity plunged ever deeper—300 meters, 500 meters, 700 meters. As the external pressure mounted, the internal cabin pressure adjusted rapidly, oxygen systems engaged, and Viola diligently monitored the train's condition, providing Lin Xian with real-time updates.
seconds, 14 seconds...
During this critical period, Ding Junyi, a wielder of superpowers, slowly turned towards Lin Xian, stating calmly.
"The blooming is imminent, but this time... it is no mere flower bud."
