The Librarian brutally slays Clan Leader Qiemen, the top assassin who ambushed Ye Zhongming, reducing him to unrecognizable flesh. Apologizing for the intervention, the Librarian offers full support and protection until Ye Zhongming departs, while pledging to shield the incident from public knowledge and handle the cleanup. Jie Su and the golden-masked warrior arrive stunned, and Ye Zhongming instructs suppression of the matter before boarding the Su Clan's aircraft, planning to visit the Star-Eye Clan first to reveal something different.

Upon returning to the Star-Eye Clan, mere moments after stepping into the underground castle, the pair of Clan Leaders dispatched someone to fetch Ye Zhongming. As he stepped inside the chamber, nearly every top-ranking figure from the Star-Eye Clan was gathered there.

The two leaders of the Star-Eye Clan—Gold Order Leader Cheng Liujin, Silver Order Leader White Robe, Chief Technique Officer Jikesu, Chief Training Officer Ba Shilu, Chief Logistics Officer Ya Shinan, along with the prospective heir Aslan—were all present.

"It's really great to see you still alive." White Robe lifted his eyebrows. Though his words seemed like banter, a faint trace of murderous intent threaded through his voice, felt by everyone present.

Ye Zhongming had become the prized asset of the whole Star-Eye Clan. He'd been brazenly targeted for assassination right in Starfall City. Without Jikesu's presence, without the six golden-masked warriors shielding him with their lives, this invaluable treasure wouldn't have made it back this time.

Should Ye Zhongming perish, the Star-Eye Clan's last hope would vanish. In its place loomed the collapse of all dreams, paving the way for the clan's total destruction.

Thus, they had no choice but to treat this incident with utmost gravity.

The lone surviving golden-masked warrior couldn't risk hiding such a critical occurrence. Trailing Ye Zhongming inside, he took a seat in the corner, head lowered in silence.

Though Ye Zhongming had explicitly told him to stay quiet on these issues, after careful consideration, he lacked the nerve to withhold the truth.

Ye Zhongming remained unperturbed. Settling into his seat and sipping some water, he remarked, "Rest assured, I'm fine. Although we don't know yet who wanted to kill me, the incident itself isn't actually strange, right? After all, we killed so many people on the Novice battlefield. How could their races swallow that anger? Even if the races don't appear, the relatives and friends of those killed have sufficient reason to attack me."

"Individuals don't have the ability or courage to act in Starfall City." Cheng Liujin shook his head, aware that Ye Zhongming was intentionally minimizing the threat to spare everyone's concern.

"Don't worry, the Su Clan promised to investigate and will inform me of the results. The decision to conceal this matter was also one we reached after discussion, mainly to prevent the major clans from intervening. Who knows what might happen during the investigation? On my home planet, there's a saying: 'It's easy to invite the gods but hard to send them away.' That's the principle."

The group pondered his words and grasped Ye Zhongming's intent. The Star-Eye Clan stood as the clear victim—no denying that. Launching an probe would surely draw in the super clans and major powers to lead it. Yet... what if those killers tied back to them? Should they stumble into a case where the culprits and investigators were one and the same, the outcome grew unpredictable.

"But simply dropping it feels unsatisfying, and we worry you can't stomach the slight either." Jikesu shared a close bond with Ye Zhongming, making him the right one to voice such concerns.

Ye Zhongming grinned, "It's nothing on my side. I can only blame myself for not being strong enough. If I could crush a survivor fortress with one hand, then probably no one would dare provoke me."

White Robe, Aslan, and the younger folks chuckled at that. White Robe added, "There is no 'probably,' they definitely wouldn't dare provoke you. I'd also have to stay far away from you to avoid being crushed by you."

Laughter filled the room this time.

"I think you will have that day one day." Eye Lord spoke abruptly, silencing the mirth as all eyes turned to him in confusion.

"Haven't you noticed this kid's strength has greatly increased in less than twenty days?"

At last, they scrutinized Ye Zhongming closely. White Robe grabbed him and dragged him over to a nearby Furelai precision tester, demanding he undergo a measurement.

Ye Zhongming yielded reluctantly. Still, he restrained himself somewhat, wary that revealing excessive progress might spark doubts.

Yet the reading of just over 5,100 left them all stunned.

This figure represented Ye Zhongming in his baseline form! All knew his maximum battle prowess emerged in transformation, typically doubling his Furelai, with raw power tripling at times.

That implied his transformed Furelai would smash past ten thousand!

How much time had passed since arriving from his home planet? Already boasting over ten thousand Furelai at peak? He'd ascended to Silver Mask Warrior territory.

Factor in his bizarre, potent skills, and he rivaled a Gold Mask Warrior outright.

Shock gave way to genuine delight.

Ye Zhongming indeed lived up to their hopes; his advancement was astonishingly swift.

Furthermore, this progress didn't come solely from relentless effort, but from well-rounded growth across multiple fields.

The revamped Bronze Camp, the revival of the clan shop, and his exceptional skills in crafting all proved his all-around development.

Merely excelling in combat turns one into a mere tactician at best. A figure like Ye Zhongming qualifies as a true strategist.

The Star-Eye Clan urgently required a prominent leader to bear the immense burdens at this moment.

Ye Zhongming felt quite pleased with his test results too. He secretly figured that unleashing his full power would push his Furelai to about six thousand. Plus, right now, he was absorbing the 'nutrients' obtained from the Book Collection Palace. In the days ahead, his rapid ascent would persist.

"Regarding the Novice reward, there's a shop located in the commercial hub of the biggest city around here. I suggest turning it into a branch for the clan shop. Dispatch someone soon to claim and refurbish it."

Ye Zhongming took his seat again, aware that it was time to address his own affairs. His visit back to the Star-Eye Clan was short; he had to wrap up arrangements swiftly before heading to the Su Clan.

"Then, all earnings from there are yours; the clan won't claim a share." The two Lords exchanged glances and declared in unison.

That spot had been Ye Zhongming's personal asset from the start. Offering it to bolster the clan's prestige was already generous. Besides, nearly all the goods stocked there would come from Ye Zhongming himself; the Star-Eye Clan's input was minimal indeed.

Yet Ye Zhongming declined with a shake of his head, stating, "How about a 20/80 split? The clan will handle operations and provide guards. I'll simply enjoy a slight edge."

Hearing this, the rest held their tongues. Even securing just twenty percent of the net profits would still be a solid win for the clan.

"Additionally, for the extra agricultural land as reward, might I select some near Darkstrip City?" Ye Zhongming inquired further.

"Certainly, and if you insist on Darkstrip City's vicinity, we could even haggle over the size."

Cheng Liujin explained, "Darkstrip City lacks big-city status, with no powerful clans present. Land around it isn't scarce. Picking a vacant area could allow for a bigger portion, though it'd cost some Moonspan Gold."

Ye Zhongming's gaze sparkled. Such an opportunity existed? He currently had no shortage of Moonspan Gold. Acquiring vast farmland could lead to grand prospects down the line...

A daring plan took shape in his mind, sparked by Cheng Liujin's suggestion.
