Almighty Daughter Runs The World Chapter 2706

Ye Shu held Little Tiezhu tightly and went on, “Did the doctor mention how much a typical baby weighs?”
Bai Jingshu responded, “About 10-15 kilograms.”
“So Little Tiezhu is merely three kilograms over the limit.” Ye Shu glanced toward Bai Jingshu and added, “Jingshu, when managing the baby’s weight, avoid dropping it too sharply all at once. A sudden big loss would be too much for the child to bear.”
Bai Jingshu nodded. “Rest assured, Mom. I’ve got it.”
Right after those words, something seemed to strike Bai Jingshu, and she inquired, “By the way, Mom, how are things back home?”
“Everything’s okay,” Ye Shu replied.
“That’s a relief.”
“Dad, Mom, brother, sister-in-law, I’m heading out for a bit.” Ye Zhuo grabbed her phone and stepped outside.
Ye Shu spun around to face Ye Zhuo. “It’s getting so late, Zhuozhuo. Where to?”
Ye Zhuo explained, “Pingting’s leaving town tomorrow, so we’re meeting up tonight.”
“Lizi’s joining too?” Ye Shu questioned.
Ye Zhuo gave a small nod. “Yeah.”
“Oh.”
Lin Jincheng added, “Girls, stay safe out there. Skip the drinks if possible. If driving back’s tricky, just call me—I’ll come get you.”
“Got it, Dad.” Ye Zhuo slipped into her white sneakers. “I’m off.”
The car waited just outside.
Ye Zhuo pulled open the driver’s door and settled in.
In moments, the sleek black sports car vanished into the darkness.
Thirty minutes passed before Ye Zhuo pulled into the lot by the night market.
“Zao Zao!”
The instant she parked, Zhao Pingting waved enthusiastically and dashed up.
“Pingting, you’re here early!”
Zhao Pingting grinned. “Nah, I just parked and spotted you!”
“Where’s Lizi?” Zhao Pingting pressed.
“She messaged in the group when I left—she’ll arrive any minute,” Ye Zhuo said.
Zhao Pingting pulled out her phone. “Let’s check her location.”
With that, Zhao Pingting fired off a message to their trio chat. [Big Zao and I are here! Lizi, where are you?]
An Lizi sat at a red light. Spotting Zhao Pingting’s text, she shot back right away, [Almost there! Order some food and grab tea first. Hold on for me.]
[Sure, take it easy on the road. No rush.]
After sending that to An Lizi, Zhao Pingting lifted her eyes to Ye Zhuo. “Lizi says she’s close. She told us to go ahead and order.”
“Alright.” Ye Zhuo nodded lightly.
Once An Lizi sent her reply, the light ahead switched to green. She eased off the handbrake, and her car inched forward.
Bang!
Suddenly, a Rolls-Royce barreled out from the right crossroads.
Screech!
An Lizi stomped the brakes.
Her vehicle was damaged.
Realizing it, An Lizi flung open the door and jumped out. “What’s your problem? Blind or what?”
“Sorry, miss. It was an accident. No need to fret—I’ll cover everything.” The Rolls-Royce’s driver, a middle-aged man in white gloves, appeared professional.
An Lizi’s tone eased slightly. “Uncle, you ran that red light! Super risky at a junction like this!”
“You mean...”
Before the driver finished, the rear door of the Rolls-Royce swung open. A tall, suited figure emerged. “Miss An.”
The voice was deep.
Oddly familiar.
An Lizi looked up, astonished. “Boss Song!”
Song Shiyu nodded faintly. “In the car, your voice rang a bell. Didn’t realize it was you for sure.”
“Me neither,” An Lizi admitted.
Song Shiyu eyed her. “Miss An, truly sorry. Driver’s new on shift. Rest easy—I’ll handle the repairs.”
An Lizi checked her car. “Doubt it’ll run now.”
Song Shiyu’s ride had rammed her rear.
The back end was smashed in. Quick braking had saved her from worse.
Song Shiyu pressed on, “Miss An, rushing somewhere? I can drop you, and my team will...”
“A week back.” Song Shiyu added, “Miss An, if you’re not pressed, let’s grab a spot to talk repairs.”
“Meeting Zhuozhuo and friends for dinner. Hey, Boss Song eaten?”
“Nope,” Song Shiyu replied.
An Lizi beamed. “Perfect, join us then. After, we can sort the cars.”
Song Shiyu paused briefly. “Works for me.”
“Let’s move.” An Lizi said, “Your car?”
“Yes.” Song Shiyu nodded. “I’ll tell the driver.”
An Lizi agreed. “Fine.”
Song Shiyu turned and murmured instructions to the driver.
“Understood, sir. Leave it to me,” the driver replied deferentially.
Song Shiyu approached An Lizi. “Miss An, shall we?”
“Sure.” An Lizi nodded and climbed into the Rolls-Royce with Song Shiyu.
The driver took the wheel, Song Shiyu in back, An Lizi up front.
“Address?” Song Shiyu asked, turning.
An Lizi set the nav. “Follow this.”
“Got it.”
Ten minutes in, they reached the spot.
A lively night market buzzed around them, scents of street food thick in the air.
Song Shiyu’s eyes swept the scene before looking away.
Fits her vibe perfectly.
“Find a table first?” Song Shiyu asked An Lizi.
An Lizi scanned about, then spotted Ye Zhuo chatting animatedly with Zhao Pingting. Grinning, she said, “There! Mr. Song, over that way.”
Song Shiyu followed her gaze.
Sure enough, Ye Zhuo stood out.
Amid the throng, simple white tee, jeans, hot pants, hair in a messy bun.
Effortless yet striking.
“Zha Zha!” An Lizi waved wildly. “Pingting!”
“Lizi, here!” Zhao Pingting waved back instantly. “Zha Zha, check the guy with Lizi—looks just like Brother Song!”
Mr. Song?
Ye Zhuo turned at that, spotting Song Shiyu clearly.
Zhao Pingting squinted. “Forgot my glasses today. Am I seeing things?”
“No mistake. That’s him.”
As they neared, Zhao Pingting asked eagerly, “Lizi, how’d you end up with Brother Song?”
Zhao Pingting and Song Shiyu raced cars together often, so they were casual.
An Lizi clarified, “Bit of a bump between my car and Mr. Song’s at the light, so we rode together.”
Song Shiyu, standing behind, chimed in, “Ye Zhuo, Pingting, mind if I crash your meal for free?”
“Not at all,” Zhao Pingting laughed.
