Qin Sheng arrives at the Qin household, where she immediately clashes with her family, showing no desire to build a relationship with them. While her parents favor the cultivated Qin Churou, Qin Sheng remains unbothered, openly calling out Churou for her hypocritical behavior. Armed with her past experiences and memories of the stock market, Qin Sheng begins plotting to secure the capital needed for her future plans.

After some contemplation, Qin Sheng began sketching and writing calculations on her paper. Since stock market trading required significant initial capital, she listed out several potential income streams before finally deciding on one.

As she set her pen aside without having heard a knock on the door, a servant barged into the room. The heavy clatter of her footsteps echoed loudly, causing Qin Sheng to knit her brows in annoyance.

The maid dumped a pile of clothes and toiletries onto the floor, sneering, “Here are your supplies. Madam ordered me to bring them to you.”

As she turned to leave, she muttered under her breath, “Does she truly fancy herself a pampered Young Miss? Waiting around to be served the very moment she sets foot in this house.”

Based on the various exchanges between Lin Shuya and Qin Hai over the last few days, it was clear that neither of them cared for Qin Sheng in the slightest.

Furthermore, Qin Sheng had dared to defy Qin Hai the second she arrived.

The servant was nothing more than a coward who bullied the weak, so she paid no regard to Qin Sheng whatsoever.

“Wait.”

Qin Sheng pivoted, narrowing her eyes as she scrutinized the maid.

A mere servant?

In her previous life, she had been so desperate to earn the approval of Lin Shuya and Qin Hai that she had grown accustomed to swallowing her pride. Consequently, these servants had never once treated her like a daughter of the Qin household.

The maids’ hostile attitude was undeniably fueled by Qin Churou’s subtle instigations.

In this lifetime, however, she refused to suffer for the sake of irrelevant people.

Qin Sheng let out a cold laugh. “Who granted you the authority to display such an attitude toward your employer? Even though I just arrived from the countryside, I am still a member of the Qin family. How could I permit a lowly servant like you to trample over me? Tell me, if I were to inform Qin Hai of your behavior, what do you think would happen to you?”

Qin Sheng’s commanding aura caused the maid to fall silent instantly, a chilling tremor running through the girl’s body.

As she met Qin Sheng’s icy gaze, her mind raced with the weight of that threat.

For a brief moment, she was too stunned to speak, her heart brimming with resentment toward Qin Sheng.

She was just an insignificant girl; what right did she have to speak to her in such a tone?

Even if she was the Young Miss of the Qin family…

The servant’s face suddenly froze. A wave of dread washed over her, and her complexion drained of color.

Regardless of her status, Qin Sheng was still the biological daughter of the Master and Madam. She had no real power—she was just a domestic worker. It was blindingly obvious who was more important.

If Qin Sheng complained to the Master, she would undoubtedly be dismissed.

Realizing this, the servant began to apologize profusely, bowing her head. “Miss, please forgive me, it was my ignorance. I am truly sorry; I will never behave this way again.”

Qin Sheng glanced toward the bedroom door, her intent clear.

The servant sighed in relief and scrambled out of the room, her legs shaking so violently she could barely keep her balance.

Once the maid had vanished, Qin Sheng did not spare a second glance at the items. She tossed the things Lin Shuya had provided directly into the trash bin, washed up, and climbed into bed.

As she lay there, sleep remained elusive for a long while.

Reflecting on the whirlwind of events from the day, it felt almost like a surreal dream. She had never been one to believe in the supernatural, yet it had happened to her nonetheless.

She had been granted a second chance to set things right, and she vowed to reclaim everything she had lost.

Brother Fu, Grandpa Lu.

She would never let them be alienated from her by others again.

The following morning, Qin Sheng arose early.

Because she had classes, Qin Churou had departed early for school. When Qin Sheng descended the stairs, only Qin Hai and Lin Shuya were present at the breakfast table.

Qin Sheng pulled out a chair and settled in to join them.

“Sheng’er, I’ve made arrangements for your schooling starting tomorrow. Your rural village cannot compare to H City. The educational resources here are vastly superior, and the disparity in academic standards between the two is immense. No matter how well you performed back home, you would be at the bottom of the pile in H City. Not to mention, your grades are mediocre to begin with.”

Qin Hai held no high hopes for her. After all, what could someone raised in a remote village possibly achieve?

Fortunately, he had Churou, who consistently ranked in the top ten at her school. She had also engaged Master Qi to teach her painting, which had salvaged quite a bit of his reputation.
