Blayn has committed to a polygamous relationship, and his seven potential brides—Esdeath, Kurome, Seryu, Chelsea, Mine, Akame, and Spear—gather to try on wedding dresses at the Royal Palace.

“Bols, are these the wife and daughter you spoke of before?”

Esdeath inquired, her gaze falling upon the young, attractive woman with long brown hair and the charming little blonde girl cradled in her arms.

“Huh? What brings you here so suddenly?”

Bols appeared even more taken aback, as if he hadn't anticipated his wife's unexpected arrival with their daughter.

“Honey~”

“Daddy~”

Both his wife and daughter addressed him with affection.

“You truly are something, dear. You forgot to take your lunch when you left this morning.”

His wife clarified the reason for their visit.

“Oh, I see... My apologies.”

Bols sheepishly scratched his head.

“Daddy is so forgetful~”

The little girl giggled, looking exceptionally cute.

Observing the tender interaction between Bols, his wife, and their daughter, Esdeath seemed lost in contemplation.

“So this is what it’s like to be married… It appears quite pleasant.”

She slowly nodded to herself.

“Well, I’ve faced many hardships, but simply knowing my wife and daughter are there to offer their support keeps me going.”

Bols spoke with genuine sincerity.

“I understand… So, the crucial element isn't marriage itself, but rather having a child first, correct?”

Esdeath unexpectedly voiced a startling conclusion.

That seemed to be the deduction she had arrived at.

“Uh…”

Bols paused, momentarily stunned.

A sense of unease settled in, yet he was at a loss for how to respond. Esdeath’s words had effectively overloaded his mind, akin to a system crash.

“General Esdeath!…”

Just as he was contemplating how to clarify matters to her, Esdeath had already departed.

“Daddy~ That lovely lady just left.”

The little girl nudged Bols’ cheek with her small finger.

“Wait, was that the Esdeath you always mention? She’s truly stunning.”

His wife marveled.

“Yes, that was indeed General Esdeath.”

Bols awkwardly ran a hand through his hair. “However, I believe she might have misunderstood something… I just hope no negative consequences arise from this.”

...

Following her encounter with Bols, Esdeath promptly sought out Blayn.

Without any preamble, she declared, “Blayn, I desire… a child.”

“Huh…?”

Blayn’s initial response was instinctive, but within the next second, his expression froze.

“Wait, what did you just say?”

“I said, I want to have a child,”

Esdeath reiterated, her demeanor perfectly neutral.

A subject that would typically cause embarrassment for most young women was presented by her as a mere casual statement.

Naturally, while Esdeath might not have been particularly adept in matters of romance, she had conducted her research. She was fully aware of what was necessary to conceive a child.

And she had already engaged in those activities with Blayn previously… It simply appeared that she hadn't yet been “fortunate” enough.
