the way those shiny idol outfits look on a hardened criminal
still can't wrap my head around a guy who literally did the dirty work for a mob boss suddenly needing to worry about his center position in a dance formation, it is just so ridiculous in the best way. Honestly the scene where he gets his stats panel right before he dies felt a bit fast like the system didn't even give him a second to breathe before turning him into a pretty boy, but seeing him use those street fighting reflexes to nail choreography is actually pretty clever. I think it was the third chapter where he almost punches a judge by instinct which made me laugh out loud in the middle of the breakroom. My only real gripe is that the other trainees are kind of cardboard cutouts and act like typical middle school bullies even though they’re supposed to be professional adults, it makes the drama feel a bit cheap sometimes actually. Still, the contrast of his 'thug' internal monologue versus the sparkly idol persona he's forced to put on is gold, although I’m pretty sure the author forgot he had a scar on his arm because it just disappeared after the first stage performance. If you want something deep this isn't it but for a laugh it’s solid.
