the part where he settles into the Lu family manor

honestly thought the whole xianxia setting would just be another grind but the many children system actually makes it kind of funny, especially the way he gets so hyped every time a new kid shows up to boost his stats. I really liked the part where he moves into the Lu family estate as a son-in-law and has to deal with all those suspicious looks from the elders, it felt super grounded even though he's basically just a baby factory for power levels. My main gripe is that the first wife felt a bit flat after the initial wedding chapters, like she just sort of becomes background noise once he starts expanding the household which is a bit of a bummer since their dynamic started out pretty cute. Also I'm pretty sure he was supposed to be a wood element spirit root but then later on it feels like the author forgot and just gave him everything, though maybe I missed a line about the system fixing that for him. The pacing gets a little repetitive once you realize the loop of him getting a new wife and waiting for the notification pops, but the comedy bits during the actual sect trials keep it from being a total slog. It's weirdly addictive watching his family tree grow like some kind of supernatural excel spreadsheet, I just wish the actual romantic moments had more staying power instead of feeling like a checklist for his next cultivation breakthrough.
