the part about the five animals fist was actually pretty chill
honestly just glad it wasn't another one of those stories where the guy gets a system and instantly becomes a god because the whole vibe of him having to grind out the Five Animals Health Fist just to not die was surprisingly grounded. I really liked how he had to basically focus on staying alive rather than just punching through walls right away, but I'm still a bit confused about that one scene where he fought the demon in the forest, felt like he suddenly got way too strong for a guy who was just doing breathing exercises two chapters ago. It's a solid read if you like the slow burn stuff, though the translation gets a bit wonky around the middle when they start talking about the longevity essence details, I actually had to re-read that page three times to get what was happening. Wish the war stuff in the background felt a bit more dangerous because sometimes it feels like Su Changkong is just vibing in his own little bubble while the world ends, which is kind of funny but also kills the stakes a little bit. Still, seeing a protagonist who actually cares about his health for once is a nice change of pace from the usual maniacs.
