the mecha designs are cool but the sister is scary

honestly thought this was going to be a standard robot fighter thing, but then that first scene with Chidorifuchi Aine just losing her clothes in the middle of the hallway caught me off guard. i get that it is supposed to be fan service but her reaction was so over the top, calling him a creep when he just showed up because his sister told him to. that sister character, Reiri i think, gives off such weird vibes like she is playing a 4D chess game with everyone's lives, it makes the school parts feel way more high-stakes than the actual battles. the part where they explain the Zeros armor power-ups felt a bit like a reach though, like the author just wanted an excuse for more physical contact. i liked the action when they are actually in the suits, the combat is fast and the sci-fi stuff looks slick, but the harem elements get so thick it’s hard to take the drama seriously sometimes. still kind of a fun read if you just want something mindless and loud, i just wish Kizuna would stand up for himself more instead of just getting dragged around by all these intense girls.
