Immortality Through Array Formations

the little guy actually using math to beat cultivators

honestly just glad to see a protagonist who isn't just screaming and punching his way through every single bottleneck, usually these stories involve some guy finding a sword and suddenly he's a god but watching Mo Hua sit there and obsessively sketch out the ink lines for that first stone-skin formation felt way more grounded. It's kind of funny how he's only like ten or eleven years old and already out-thinking grown men who have been cultivating for decades, though I do think the author made that Taoist Stele in his head a bit too overpowered right from the jump since it basically does the heavy lifting for his brain. I keep waiting for him to actually mess up a scribe line and blow something up but he's almost a bit too perfect at the technical stuff, it makes the tension dip whenever he starts a new project because you just know it's going to work out. Still, the way the world treats loose cultivators like absolute trash is super realistic and frustrating to read, reminds me of how hard it is to get a decent job without a degree in the real world, and I really hope he uses those arrays to bankrupt some of those arrogant sect leaders soon. The pacing gets a little weird when he's just grinding his sense levels but the pay-off when he finally finishes a complex formation is usually worth the wait.
