the idle system is cool but Klein acts way too lazy

honestly thought this was going to be another boring power fantasy where the guy tries to be the next Fleet Admiral, but he actually just wants to move to a tiny island and do absolutely nothing. I really liked the scene where he gets assigned to that backwater base in the East Blue and basically spends his entire salary on a high-quality hammock, it felt so relatable for anyone who hates their job. The idle system is a bit weird though because he literally gains strength by sleeping or eating snacks which feels like a total cheat code, even if the math behind the level-ups gets a bit confusing after a few chapters. I do think the pacing drags whenever he talks to Garp for too long, like we get it the old man is loud and eats crackers, let's move the plot along already. The translation gets a bit dicey around chapter twenty where they keep calling the Marines the Navy and then switch back every other paragraph, it really threw me off. Still, it's a decent read if you want something low-stakes where the main character isn't screaming about being the Pirate King every five seconds, I just wish he showed a tiny bit more backbone when the actual fighting starts.
