the heart failure bit really got to me this time
honestly needed this kind of fluff after a long week, but i kept waiting for that whole heart failure thing on her nineteenth birthday to come back in a bigger way because it felt so heavy in the first chapter and then it just kind of turned into a standard transmigration trope. she moves into this new body and suddenly she’s this timid girl who can’t stand up for herself, which is fine, but the way she handles the school drama is a bit much sometimes. i really liked the scene where she finally stands up to her sisters in that cramped hallway, it felt super earned even if the dialogue was a little cheesy. my only real gripe is that mr. huo is way too intense right from the jump, like he barely knows her and he's already acting like she's the center of the universe. it’s a bit much for me, i wish they had more of a slow burn because the instant obsession feels a little unrealistic even for a josei novel. still, it’s a fun read if you just want to turn your brain off and look at pretty art, plus the way she cries to get what she wants is actually kind of hilarious.
