the grandfather stuff is sweet but qiao yue is kinda scary
honestly just glad she finally met her grandpa because that part where she finds the old dusty diary under the floorboards to get his address really hit me in the feels, it felt so desperate and real for someone who grew up without any roots. i'm a sucker for the whole hidden billionaire trope but sometimes it feels like she has way too many people working for her, like how can one eighteen-year-old actually manage a global conglomerate and a secret tech empire while also trying to pass her exams, it's a bit much even for a fiction story. she's supposedly this genius powerhouse but then she gets all flustered over the smallest things at home which is cute i guess, i just wish the author didn't make her quite so overpowered in the beginning because there's nowhere left for her to grow. the romance is taking forever to start and i'm mostly here for the family drama anyway, but the pacing is all over the place since one chapter she's buying a whole skyscraper and the next she's crying over a bowl of soup her aunt made. it's definitely a fun read if you turn your brain off, just don't expect a lot of logic when it comes to how she hides all those identities from her brothers.
