the extraction skill is cool but the tower layout is weird

honestly stayed up way too late reading this one because the whole idea of those obsidian spires showing up out of nowhere just to save everyone from starving is such a mood, but I kept getting distracted by how the protagonist uses that God-Tier Extraction power on every single low-level mob he finds. It gets a bit repetitive seeing him strip every single monster for parts in the first ten floors, and I swear at one point he extracted some rare mercury material from a creature that looked more like a giant rock golem than a liquid-based thing, which felt like a bit of a stretch even for a fantasy setting. The stakes are definitely there since the world is basically a giant trash heap before the towers show up, but sometimes the main guy feels a little too lucky with how he finds the exact hidden rooms he needs, it makes the danger feel a bit less heavy than it probably should. Still, I’m a sucker for a good zero-to-hero story where the guy actually gets rich instead of just being 'chosen' for no reason, although the way the upper floors keep moving the goalposts on what counts as a 'precious reward' is starting to make my head spin, I just hope the author doesn't keep adding new power levels every five chapters because it's getting hard to track. Definitely worth a look if you like grinding mechanics and seeing characters get ridiculously overpowered really fast.
