Honestly felt so bad for Qiao Nan during that school scene

still can't believe how much that mother figure pissed me off, like who actually tells their own kid they don't have the right to be happy just because the older sister is supposedly prettier? It felt so personal when Qiao Nan was crying about not being allowed to finish her high school exams, it reminded me of that one cousin I have who always got the short end of the stick. The reincarnation bit is satisfying because she finally stands up for herself, but man, the dad is basically a wet noodle for the first fifty chapters and I wanted to shake him. I think her sister's name was Qiao Zijin and honestly she is one of the most annoying villains I have read in a long time, she just acts so entitled to every single penny the family has. The military romance stuff with the Chief is okay I guess, but I'm really just here for the family drama and seeing the mom get what's coming to her. Sometimes the dialogue feels a bit repetitive when they argue about the tuition money, but it hits hard if you've ever felt like the black sheep of the family. I just wish the romance started a bit faster because the chief feels like he's just hovering in the background while she deals with her crazy relatives for way too long, he's cool but a bit stiff.
