being the last dragon in a world of greedy players
honestly thought this was going to be another cozy power trip, but seeing the MC wake up as the literal last egg while everyone is hunting for dragon scales is genuinely stressful. the part where that level 99 player with the glowing blue sword almost crushes the shell before he even hatches really got to me, it made the stakes feel way higher than your typical fantasy setup. it's kind of funny how he remembers being on the other side of the grind, though I'm pretty sure he said he used to play a mage, or maybe it was a warrior, either way he knows exactly how toxic these guilds can be. the writing gets a bit repetitive when he's trying to hide in that first cave for ten chapters straight, I wish he'd just move on already because the pacing kind of drags when he's just eating moss and worrying. still, the irony of a gamer trying to outsmart a game system is a nice touch, even if the system messages pop up way too often for my liking.
