Ye Tian infiltrated the Forbidden Insect Race nest using his talent. He discovered a vast vein of Dark Dull Gold, an incredibly rare and sturdy material, but found he couldn't extract it without causing a disturbance. He also found a damaged Forbidden Continent Fragment and, most importantly, a complete, naturally formed Forbidden Stele, which he successfully took with him as the insects were unaware of its value.

Having obtained the Forbidden Stele, Ye Tian made a swift departure, opting against further exploration. His primary concern was the safe delivery of the artifact to his main body; losing his Copy Body would be a minor setback, but the loss of the Forbidden Stele would be catastrophic. Only with the stele secured would he truly feel at ease.

Retracing his path, Ye Tian encountered no obstacles and exited through the same passage he had entered, moving silently to evade the notice of any forbidden insects.

A wave of relief washed over Ye Tian as he finally emerged from the forbidden insect nest and put distance between himself and that perilous locale.

“Home at last!”

Setting foot on the grounds of the Blackwind Mountain Base brought a surge of elation to Ye Tian. He deactivated his Forbidden Talent, Concealment, no longer needing to guard against the attention of the two Half-Step Domain Ancestors. He had no desire to reveal this particular Forbidden Talent just yet.

Employing a general concealment secret technique, he reached his quarters and transferred the Forbidden Stele to his main body.

“Excellent, the Forbidden Stele is now secured. This acquisition will undoubtedly expedite my comprehension of the Forbidden Dao in the future.

Currently, my grasp of the Infinite Forbidden Dao is exceedingly limited. I suspect I haven’t even breached the foundational realm, managing only a rudimentary understanding of the complete Forbidden Dao. If achieving 10% mastery signifies entry into the foundational realm, then I’ve likely only grasped a mere 0.1% thus far!” Ye Tian mused inwardly.

Without delay, Ye Tian dispatched his Copy Body to continue its operations under the guise of the Dark King.

Subsequently.

Ye Tian’s incarnation, still within the Human Race’s territory, delved into Wind Mountain, seeking intelligence regarding the Dark Dull Gold Vein. Regrettably, the available data proved exceptionally scarce, with no discernible link between the Dark Dull Gold and the forbidden insect nest.

Frustrated by the lack of progress, he was compelled to abandon this line of inquiry.

Alternatively, he could have sought assistance from Dao Ancestor Eternal Perpetuity or Dao Ancestor Divine Ruins, sharing the details of the Dark Dull Gold Vein. However, he could not ascertain their intentions, nor could he guarantee they wouldn’t harbor avarice. The immense value of the Dark Dull Gold Vein made such concerns valid. Even if Dao Ancestor Eternal Perpetuity harbored no ill will, it was improbable they would generously share the extracted wealth. Self-interest, Ye Tian acknowledged, was a universal trait, and he himself was no exception. He preferred not to relinquish a significant portion of the Dark Dull Gold to Dao Ancestor Eternal Perpetuity or others.

More crucially, Ye Tian had identified a more promising potential source of information.

“Ouyang Jiu’er!”

As a former Half-Step Domain Ancestor, Ouyang Jiu’er possessed profound knowledge and an impressive background. It was plausible she might have insights into the Dark Dull Gold Vein or even possess methods for its extraction. Given their established rapport, Ye Tian felt confident that Ouyang Jiu’er would be truthful.

Previously, Ye Tian had hesitated to contact Ouyang Jiu’er, unwilling to impose upon her. However, the current circumstances left him with no alternative but to send her a message.

Ye Tian’s incarnation attempted to reach Ouyang Jiu’er within the Human Race’s domain, but his efforts were met with silence.

“Could Ouyang Jiu’er be within the Dark Forbidden Domain?” Ye Tian pondered. If she were indeed there, standard communication devices would prove ineffective. Only specialized Forbidden Messaging Devices would suffice. Yet, if Ouyang Jiu’er resided in a base within the Dark Forbidden Domain, Ye Tian lacked the necessary device to contact her.

Nevertheless, Ye Tian devised a strategy.

Leveraging his Copy Talent, he began systematically scanning each base. The potency of his Copy Talent allowed him to detect individuals even if they were in secluded cultivation, shielded by intricate formations.

Therefore, locating Ouyang Jiu’er was simply a matter of finding a base where she was present.

Swoosh! Ye Tian’s Copy Talent extended across the Blackwind Mountain Base, but yielded no results. This outcome was anticipated; the base was primarily inhabited by the Dao Ancestors of Blackwind Mountain, making it an unlikely location for Ouyang Jiu’er.

Immediately.

Ye Tian proceeded to visit other bases under the pretense of casual visits, ensuring he aroused no suspicion.

One base after another was scoured by Ye Tian, yet Ouyang Jiu’er remained unlocated.

That day.

Ye Tian arrived at the Nine Rivers Base, a stronghold belonging to rogue cultivators. It was established by Dao Ancestor Nine Rivers, a formidable figure among the freelance Dao Ancestors. While numerous Dao Ancestors resided there, their cultivation levels were generally not exceptionally high.

Upon entering the base, Ye Tian activated his Copy Talent, letting its influence encompass the entire area.

“Hmm, found you!” Ye Tian exclaimed in surprise.

Within the confines of a residence at the Nine Rivers Base, Ye Tian arrived and sent forth a voice transmission, seeking an audience with the master of the dwelling. Shortly thereafter, a burly man, distinguished by his dark complexion and an aura that unequivocally identified him as a Pinnacle Dao Ancestor, emerged.

Upon recognizing the imposing figure, Ye Tian offered a smile and transmitted, "Jiu'er, how have you been lately?"

The dark-faced man's eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "Brother Ye, despite my current appearance, you recognized me?"

Subsequently, the man extended an invitation for Ye Tian to enter the residence.

With a sudden 'Whoosh!', the burly man dissolved his disguise, revealing himself to be none other than Ouyang Jiu'er, now in her true form.

"Brother Ye, did you happen to plant some sort of tracker on me? I'm employing a Supreme Treasure from my previous existence, a treasure so potent that even an Invincible Dao Ancestor or a Half-Step Domain Ancestor would be incapable of penetrating my disguise!" Ouyang Jiu'er inquired with palpable curiosity.

Ye Tian let out a slight cough, offering an explanation, "I possess a talent, a Forbidden Talent at that, which grants me the ability to see through all forms of disguise!"

"A Forbidden Talent!!!" Ouyang Jiu'er exclaimed, utterly astonished.

She found herself readily believing him, reasoning that only a power as extraordinary as a Forbidden Talent could exhibit such heaven-defying capabilities.

An immediate sense of envy washed over her as she contemplated Ye Tian's remarkable Forbidden Talent.

"Brother Ye, what brings you to seek me out today?" Ouyang Jiu'er asked, her curiosity piqued.

She was well aware that Ye Tian would not have gone to such lengths to find her, traversing numerous locations before finally locating her at the Nine Rivers Base, without a significant purpose.

"I have discovered a Dark Dull Gold Vein!" Ye Tian declared with utmost seriousness.

"Are you certain?" Ouyang Jiu'er's eyes widened once more.

"Absolutely!" Ye Tian affirmed. "Furthermore, the vein is of colossal size, its value truly immeasurable!"

"Allow me to venture a guess: it cannot be moved, and that is precisely why you have come to me for assistance?" Ouyang Jiu'er quipped, rolling her eyes.

"Precisely!" Ye Tian confirmed swiftly. "So, tell me, will you lend me your aid? Should our endeavor prove successful, I shall bestow upon you half of the vein. What are your thoughts?"

"It's a deal!" Ouyang Jiu'er readily agreed, nodding her head.

Half of a Dark Dull Gold Vein—its worth was beyond comprehension. All she was required to do was offer her assistance, and such immense wealth would be hers. This was, in essence, a gift of fortune!

"Where precisely is this vein located, and what prevents its removal? Kindly elaborate," Ouyang Jiu'er requested.

"The Dark Dull Gold Vein is situated within the lair of the Forbidden Insect Race..." Ye Tian commenced his explanation.

However, before he could complete his sentence, Ouyang Jiu'er interjected with haste, "Brother Ye, I believe my own life holds greater value. I must respectfully decline this offer concerning the vein!"
