His Pinnacle Saber Dao surged forward impressively, elevating his strength to the peak of Fourth Heaven Dao Ancestor, on the verge of breaking through to Fifth Heaven Dao Ancestor power.

Still, despite this advancement, attaining Fifth Heaven Dao Ancestor power fell short against Sixth Heaven forces, not to mention the overwhelming might of the Upper Three Heavens.

A grand gathering of the Great Divine Hall's Dao Ancestors assembled to deliberate on their alliance's future.

Once every Dao Ancestor took their seats, the assembly kicked off officially.

As the mightiest presence there, Dao Ancestor Void Sky opened the discussion, declaring, “Everyone, you're surely aware of the Profound Void Ancient Realm's shift toward the Archaic Realm. This turn of events caught us off guard and nullified countless plans and setups! When the Archaic Realm fully appears, Profound Void Ancient Realm Dao Ancestors will break free from limits, ending our prosperous era! Then, the Dao Mountain Domain's power balance will surely get upended. Our lands won't hold!”

“Dao Ancestor Void Sky, no need to belabor the point,” Immortal Sect Master cut in. “We grasp the crisis. Now, let's focus on our next steps.”

“I offer two ideas,” Dao Ancestor Void Sky suggested. “First, preserve our alliance but surrender most territories to Upper Three Heavens powers. Yet this carries dangers. Lacking a strong patron, we'd face assaults. Second, submit to a great power. But that would end our alliance.”

His words stirred unrest among many Dao Ancestors.

Dao Ancestor Void Sky had spearheaded the alliance's formation to unite against Upper Three Heavens forces. Now, mere moments after its birth, he pushed for submission? Had they foreseen this, they'd have joined early and gained more rewards.

But pledging now promised doubts and scant gains, as major powers might reject them outright.

“Dao Ancestor Void Sky, you rallied us to build the Great Divine Hall, and we followed to form this alliance. Now you urge its breakup? Your two ideas both lead to submission!” Dao Ancestor Gold and Silver scoffed.

“Dao Ancestor Gold and Silver, what do you imply? I proposed the Great Divine Hall, but you consented! Facing issues, you dump blame on me alone?” Dao Ancestor Void Sky shot back furiously.

While Dao Ancestor Void Sky clashed with Dao Ancestor Gold and Silver, Dao Ancestor War Axe stepped in to calm things. “All, settle down! No point in bickering. Here's a plan: vote. Dissolve the Great Divine Hall or keep it? Post-dissolution, each group decides its path.”

“Agreed, vote,” Dao Ancestor Void Sky consented with a nod.

Dao Ancestors voted in turn.

Results emerged swiftly.

Almost 90% favored dissolving the Great Divine Hall, showing utter doubt in its prospects. Most had probably chosen other allegiances already.

“Very well. Disband it,” Dao Ancestor Void Sky sighed.

And so, the short-lived Great Divine Hall alliance met its end.

Soon, other Dao Mountain Domain alliances crumbled in sequence. The entire region's power framework shattered.

In the next century,

Numerous ex-Dao Mountain Domain groups submitted to Upper Three Heavens powers. After heavy casualties in the Fireflame Forbidden Zone clash, losing many True Ancestors and Dao Ancestors, these giants eagerly bolstered ranks by welcoming lesser factions.

Naturally, they gave little back—no major perks—and even extracted tributes.

Deep in Void Sky True Nation's Human Race domain, the realm pressed on with its chaotic transformation.

Dao Ancestor Void Sky's incarnation returned, landing at Ye Tian’s abode.

In this encounter, Dao Ancestor Void Sky found he could no longer gauge his disciple’s full might. Ye Tian’s power seemed to have soared to unprecedented heights.

He knew his disciple matched Fourth Heaven Dao Ancestors at minimum, with strength closing in on his own.

“Disciple, my visit concerns a crucial issue.” Dao Ancestor Void Sky spoke, a trace of unease in his tone.

“What matter?” Ye Tian inquired, intrigued.

“The Great Divine Hall is no more. I plan to bring the Void Sky Lineage into Blackwind Mountain,” Dao Ancestor Void Sky clarified. “But I lack ties to Blackwind Mountain’s Dao Ancestors or means to reach them. You, however, as Blackwind Mountain’s Heavenly General, rank just below the Ten Kings. So, I seek your aid in approaching Blackwind Mountain’s leaders.”

“Joining Blackwind Mountain?” Ye Tian furrowed his brow slightly.

This posed a tough challenge. Blackwind Mountain had accepted no vassal groups till now. Peak Lords and Generals built their forces personally, drawing individuals or talents from Blackwind Mountain’s heritage sites.

Hence, Ye Tian doubted if Wind King and the rest would take on the Void Sky Lineage. A refusal from Wind King left him powerless.

“Disciple, I’ve no alternatives. Should the Archaic Realm arise and Dao Ancestors gain freedom, Upper Three Heavens forces may hunt me down,” Dao Ancestor Void Sky voiced his fears.

“Master, I’ll raise this with the Wind King,” Ye Tian assured at once.

“Excellent!” Dao Ancestor Void Sky nodded.

Shortly, Ye Tian settled Dao Ancestor Void Sky’s incarnation in Human Race lands. He then ventured into Wind King Small Domain, activating his General’s Token to reach the Wind King.

“Heavenly General Nine Limits, why contact me?” Wind King’s voice resounded near Ye Tian.

“My master, Dao Ancestor Void Sky, seeks to fold the Void Sky Lineage into Blackwind Mountain. Would Blackwind Mountain accept?” Ye Tian laid out the request.

“Blackwind Mountain rejects subordinate groups; too hard to control,” Wind King stated flatly.

“No other path?” Ye Tian frowned.

Wind King paused briefly, then continued. “One option exists. Have Dao Ancestor Void Sky enter as a Heavenly King, placing Void Sky Lineage members in his legion as ‘Void Sky Legion.’ This integrates them properly into Blackwind Mountain, but drops the ‘Lineage’ name. If he accepts, he joins. If not, no deal.”

“Gratitude, Wind King!”

Ye Tian recognized this as Wind King’s utmost flexibility. With that, he departed the Wind King Small Domain.
