Your Talent is Mine Chapter 1149: Ouyang Jiu’er Arrives!

Dao Ancestor Tianxiu accepted that killing Ye Tian was impossible, yet he was utterly unwilling to let the target slip through his fingers. After all, this was a Forbidden Supreme Treasure! Despite being uncertain of its exact identity, abandoning such a prize was not an option he would consider. He pushed forward, relentlessly trailing his quarry.
Ye Tian relied on the Tiangang Extreme Speed technique, but as a Middle Thousand Dao technique, its velocity was inherently capped. Even when mastered to its absolute limit, it failed to provide the necessary boost for a clean getaway.
In contrast, Dao Ancestor Tianxiu wielded a Pinnacle Dao technique, which allowed him to traverse the void with terrifying swiftness. Before long, he caught up to Ye Tian, and the two resumed their savage clash.
By that moment, additional Pinnacle Dao Ancestors were already converging on their position.
“I cannot allow Dao Ancestor Tianxiu to pin me down here. If the rest arrive, there will be no chance of escape!” Ye Tian muttered, his brow furrowed in concern.
Though his combat prowess rivaled that of Dao Ancestor Tianxiu, he remained slightly disadvantaged. His Forbidden Body was sixty percent refined—a superior state compared to the minor accomplishment level of his opponent. This edge allowed Ye Tian to absorb the brunt of the kinetic impact, maintaining a stalemate.
However, the reality was starker; his mobility and raw offensive output were arguably inferior to his pursuer’s. Given these constraints, shaking off such a formidable tracker was nearly impossible.
Boom! Another Pinnacle Dao Ancestor plummeted into the fray: the renowned Dao Ancestor Eight Clouds from the Heavenly Sword Sect, whose power exceeded that of Tianxiu himself.
“Dao Ancestor Tianxiu, are you in possession of the Forbidden Supreme Treasure?” Eight Clouds demanded upon arrival.
“Must you ask, Eight Clouds? I have him trapped, and the Forbidden Supreme Treasure is clearly in his grasp!” replied Tianxiu, voice ice-cold.
Dao Ancestor Eight Clouds immediately engaged, and together, the two Pinnacle Dao Ancestors easily overwhelmed Ye Tian, dealing him wound after wound.
Suddenly, the aura of another peak-level existence approached, and Ye Tian realized his time had run out.
He drew a single leaf—the Forbidden Void Leaf. This was a peak-tier escape item he had hoarded, one he was loath to squander, but desperation left him no choice. He activated it, and the leaf erupted into a barrier of forbidden rules, instantly tearing through the spatial fabric of the Forbidden Zone. He vanished with a speed that left Eight Clouds and Tianxiu powerless to intervene.
“Hmph, using an escape treasure? We have plenty of those, too!”
Both pursuers retrieved their own escape-type forbidden objects, initiating a relentless hunt.
Ye Tian had underestimated these Pinnacle Dao Ancestors; to reach such heights, they possessed well-rounded, versatile abilities devoid of glaring weaknesses. Escaping one was a monumental challenge. Ye Tian flickered into one sector of the Fireflame Forbidden Zone, only to be forced out again immediately.
The tracking prowess of these Pinnacle Dao Ancestors was simply too potent. They traced his displacement instantly, sensing his position and keeping the chase alive.
Any attempts to use concealment techniques proved futile against their scrutiny. He realized he could not hope to vanish entirely.
Soon, word spread that a Forbidden Supreme Treasure was in Ye Tian’s possession, drawing the greedy gazes of many powerful beings.
…
Elsewhere in the Fireflame Forbidden Zone…
Generals Bloodfiend, Skyreaver, and their peers paced anxiously after hearing the news.
“General Nine Limits is being hunted by an army of Pinnacle Dao Ancestors. The situation is dire,” muttered Bloodfiend.
“Could we request the Wind King to intervene?” Skyreaver asked.
“No,” Bloodfiend shook his head. “I attempted to reach him, but he has already returned to Blackwind Mountain and refuses to involve himself. He explicitly warned us to abandon the area and avoid the turmoil of the Fireflame Forbidden Zone.”
“But how can we walk away? There are endless forbidden items here. If we scout a bit more, we could uncover countless riches.”
General Skyreaver sighed, frustrated. They were unwilling to leave, but without the Wind King’s support, providing aid to General Nine Limits was impossible.
“He must navigate this alone,” Bloodfiend concluded with a heavy sigh.
As time marched on, the pack of pursuers swelled. Of course, the Fireflame Forbidden Zone offered enough spoils that as more treasures surfaced, several Pinnacle Dao Ancestors peeled off to pursue their own interests.
Still, Eight Clouds and Tianxiu remained stubborn, forcing Ye Tian to spend more of his precious resources to keep his distance, yet never truly shaking them.
Suddenly, as Ye Tian tore through a fold in space, a slim, fair hand seized him. He tensed to counterattack but relaxed instantly upon recognizing the aura.
“Jiu’er!”
Ye Tian stared at the woman before him, his voice filled with shock.
“Suppress your aura immediately. I will utilize the Shadowless Divine Step. With this, even those Pinnacle Dao Ancestors will lose your trail!” Ouyang Jiu’er declared urgently.
“Agreed!” Ye Tian nodded.
As his aura faded to nothingness and Ouyang Jiu’er initiated her technique, it became as if he had been erased from existence. Every trace of his presence, his past, and even the laws of causality and time-space failed to detect a single ripple.
Swish, swish, swish! Dao Ancestors Eight Clouds and Tianxiu arrived, only to find the area barren of any trace. They unleashed various tracking arts, but their efforts were wasted; they could only stand there, frustrated.
“How is this possible? Just like that, General Nine Limits’s aura is gone?” Tianxiu wondered aloud.
“The trail is completely cold!” Eight Clouds replied, perplexed. “Could he have… perished?”
“Unlikely!” Tianxiu immediately countered. “His strength is nearly identical to ours, and he is a Supreme True Ancestor. Even heavily wounded, his inexhaustible origin force would sustain him. He would not fall so easily without a direct strike from a Domain Ancestor.”
“He must have deployed some secret treasure to dampen his presence,” Eight Clouds conjectured.
Having failed to find their target, neither Pinnacle Dao Ancestor wished to squander more time, and they eventually departed to hunt for other artifacts.
“Jiu’er, you saved me!” Ye Tian said, his voice laced with relief.
Without her intervention, the consequences would have been dire. While he might not have perished, he certainly would have lost this clone and surrendered the wealth of his forbidden items and the treasure itself.
“I rushed here the moment I caught wind of the situation. Your bravery is astounding, you know? You actually dared to snatch a Forbidden Supreme Treasure knowing the Pinnacle Dao Ancestors would swarm you. Did you think you were me, capable of slipping through their nets so casually?” Ouyang Jiu’er chided with an eye-roll.
“I didn't seek it out! The artifact simply manifested before me. To ignore it would have been absolute stupidity,” Ye Tian justified.
“Never mind that now,” Ouyang Jiu’er whispered mysteriously. “I have successfully pinpointed the location of the Forbidden Supreme Treasure held within the Heavenly Emperor Palace here in the Fireflame Forbidden Zone!”
“You actually found it?” Ye Tian’s interest flared. “Can we obtain it?”
“Not unless we plan to pocket the entire Forbidden Zone!” she joked.
“But wait,” Ye Tian persisted. “Is that treasure not rumored to reveal future paths? Should we not attempt to activate it and catch a glimpse of our own futures?”
“Impossible,” Ouyang Jiu’er answered. “That treasure is known as the Haotian Imperial Mirror. To trigger it, an immense sacrifice of True Ancestor and Dao Ancestor blood is required. Mere personal power is insufficient to sustain it.”
“Many have fallen recently, and I have been… gathering their remains. You should do the same. Even the corpses of forbidden bloodline creatures will serve. Once we have a sufficient collection, we can provide the offering to the Haotian Imperial Mirror!”
“I understand,” Ye Tian affirmed.
The pair continued to roam the expanse of the Fireflame Forbidden Zone, methodically harvesting forbidden items and collecting the blood-rich remains of True Ancestors, Dao Ancestors, and forbidden creatures.
Another day flickered by.
By then, nine Forbidden Supreme Treasures had surfaced inside the zone. Ye Tian had secured one, Ouyang Jiu’er another, while the Fire King, Heavenly Sea Sect, Myriad Domains Divine Hall, and Limitless Sky Sect each claimed one. The fate of the remaining three remained a mystery.
“Big Brother Ye, we must hasten to the Haotian Imperial Mirror. With most of the treasures now accounted for, the Heavenly Emperor Palace could reveal the Mirror at any second to initiate their agenda. We must beat them to it!” Ouyang Jiu’er pressed.
Without further hesitation, they departed, moving with all speed toward the location of the Haotian Imperial Mirror.
