Young Master Fu's Incredible Real Heiress Chapter 1013 - Already Prepared

“Yes, yes,” Shi Jin replied obediently.
Upon reaching home, Shi Jin removed her shoes. As Fu Xiuyuan offered her the flat slippers, she noticed the carpet had been swapped for a plusher, thicker rabbit fur rug.
“Take a seat for a bit. I’ll instruct the butler to prepare dinner,” Fu Xiuyuan murmured gently.
“Alright.” Shi Jin settled onto the sofa and grabbed the script to review tomorrow’s scenes. While flipping through it, her eyelids grew heavy, and she drifted off.
Fu Xiuyuan rolled up his sleeves, exposing his powerful forearms. He draped a blanket over her, planted a kiss on the tips of her long lashes, then headed back to the kitchen.
!!
The aroma of food roused Shi Jin from sleep. She fluttered her eyes open, momentarily disoriented, until she spotted Fu Xiuyuan setting dishes on the table.
She blinked in disbelief.
Fu Xiuyuan rarely cooked. Though he had tried before, his skills matched Shi Jin’s own—edible but hardly gourmet—and this fare smelled worlds apart.
“Awake now?” Fu Xiuyuan approached. His crisp white shirt remained impeccably smooth, making her question if she’d imagined him in the kitchen.
“Dinner time?” Shi Jin’s stomach growled, intensifying her hunger as she spoke.
“Yes.” Fu Xiuyuan extended a hand to help her up. “Everything’s ready.”
At the dining table, Shi Jin eyed the steamed salmon, spicy prawns, and array of her favorite dishes. Her mouth watered instantly.
Fu Xiuyuan shelled a prawn for her and placed it on her plate. “Give it a taste.”
“Delicious.” Shi Jin savored a bite, her eyes squinting in delight at the flavor.
“Have more then.” Fu Xiuyuan kept peeling for her.
“Who whipped this up today?” Shi Jin inquired offhandedly.
Fu Xiuyuan’s fingers halted, his lips tightening. “Something wrong?”
“It’s so tasty. I’d love to enjoy this chef’s handiwork again.” Shi Jin dug in further.
The tension eased from Fu Xiuyuan’s mouth as he whispered, “Alright, he’ll handle all the cooking from now on.”
“You eat too.” Shi Jin fed him a bite.
Throughout the meal, Fu Xiuyuan busily peeled prawns for Shi Jin while eating his own share. Though occupied, he felt deeply content.
Post-dinner, Shi Jin rinsed her hands and mouth. Fu Xiuyuan trailed her, standing close by. He dispensed some hand soap and washed alongside her.
Finished, she beamed at him. “Thanks, hubby. Tonight’s meal was truly scrumptious.”
“You knew it was me?” Fu Xiuyuan sounded astonished.
“Food this flavorful and tempting could only come from my husband. Did you pick it up from Lanchen?”
She had seen right through him. Fu Xiuyuan chuckled. “Yeah, I’ve been practicing for several days.”
“Your master’s skilled indeed. Though your quick learning helps too, of course.”
“Tell me what you crave next time.”
“Sure.” Shi Jin grinned. “I won’t hold back then.”

Shi Jin’s remaining shoots proceeded smoothly.
Three to four months passed, and production neared completion.
By then, Shi Jin was seven months along in her pregnancy.
Thanks to the loose ancient costumes and her subtly showing belly, unless she pointed it out, hardly anyone realized she was expecting.
Visiting the Fu residence, Old Madam Fu eagerly drew her near with a grin. “Come here, let me see. How’s your belly still so flat? Not eating enough?”
“Grandma, I’m eating plenty and nutritiously.”
“But you don’t even look pregnant!” Old Madam Fu sighed. “What’s the doctor saying?”
Fu Xiuyuan noted, “Grandma, forgot Shi Jin’s a doctor too?”
“Doesn’t matter. Her tummy ought to be bigger by now. Or the baby might end up tiny later, no?” Old Madam Fu fretted.
Old Master Fu, seated nearby, remarked, “Xiuyuan and Shi Jin aren’t concerned, so why are you? It’ll be fine.”
“How can I not worry? I care about Shi Jin.”
“Grandma, I’ve examined it myself. All’s well.” Shi Jin reassured her. “Doctor confirms the baby’s developing normally in every way. Bodies vary; mine just shows late.”
Old Madam Fu finally eased up. “Finish this film, then rest at home. Running around daily must exhaust you.”
“Understood, Grandma.” Shi Jin nodded.
As filming wrapped up, Shi Jin harbored other intentions.
Films typically followed completion with promo events to sustain buzz until release.
Shi Jin needed to capture footage for those activities swiftly.
Nevertheless, she'd delayed as many events as possible. The ones left were the promotional activities Shi Jin considered essential and chose to retain.
Now, Yao Jiahong and his assistant weren't the sole companions for Shi Jin. Fu Xiuyuan had carved out special time to join her in wrapping up the final promotional shoot.
“Master Fu, this shoot takes place on a cruise ship. It involves three promo videos and two interviews. We'll head back shortly afterward.” Yao Jiahong passed him the details.
“Shi Jin, any issue with boarding the cruise?” Fu Xiuyuan gently sought her view.
She savored a shrimp bun, its thin wrapper hugging juicy filling. Fu Xiuyuan had grabbed it fresh for her that morning.
With filming nearly done, she could indulge without worry of gaining weight. Plus, she still looked slim.
Noticing her unfinished bite, Fu Xiuyuan patiently lingered, then used a tissue to gently clean her lips.
Once she swallowed, Shi Jin replied, “No issue. Seasickness isn't a problem for me.”
“Good, the schedule is confirmed then,” Fu Xiuyuan informed Yao Jiahong.
With plans settled, Fu Xiuyuan and Shi Jin hopped into the car, heading straight for the cruise ship.
The full production crew arrived too. At the front stood host Jing Ya, her tone soft and melodic. “Shi Jin, welcome aboard.”
“Thanks. Appreciate you handling today's interview.”
“No hassle at all, it's what we do,” Jing Ya replied, eyeing the group trailing Shi Jin—including Fu Xiuyuan himself.
Yet his expression stayed stern, his presence intimidating. Jing Ya mustered just a greeting, too wary to chat freely with Fu Xiuyuan.
Shi Jin's assistant delivered her meal box and set it nearby, alongside neatly sliced fruits and steaming milk.
“Sorry if I need to refuel anytime, but I'll stick to breaks for eating. It won't hold up the promo shoots or interviews,” Shi Jin said straightforwardly.
“No worries, really.” Jing Ya had never witnessed an actress packing away so much food before.
Especially since Shi Jin stayed perfectly slim. It was downright astonishing.
