Chen Xiang tumbled into a hidden valley and discovered two immobilized, naked beauties radiating killing intent. Despite their threats, he chivalrously draped gowns over Bai Youyou and Su Meiyao, earning their gratitude after explaining his accidental fall. The severely injured sisters, crippled by a powerful foe, proposed granting him their Yin and Yang Divine Veins along with divine and devil exercises in exchange for his help in recovery, formalizing the alliance with a blood deed. He then fed them Hell Spirit Grass, enabling basic mobility as they prepared the vein transfer.

Chen Xiang sat cross-legged on the ground, focusing his spirit power in preparation for the Divine Vein transfer.

Bai Youyou and Su Meiyao placed their delicate palms on Chen Xiang’s abdomen. A black mist and a white mist erupted from their lovely hands. The black mist belonged to Bai Youyou’s Extreme Yin Divine Vein, whereas the white came from Su Meiyao’s Extreme Yang Divine Vein. Each possessed a profoundly mystical aura.

A white stream and a black stream emerged inside Chen Xiang’s body, surging wildly through his muscles, bones, and meridians. As circulation continued, his physique gradually toughened up, wave by wave, until the white and black Qi converged in his dantian, forming a Tai Chi Yin Yang diagram. These were the Yin and Yang Divine Veins!

Su Meiyao and Bai Youyou grew thrilled seeing the Extreme Yin and Extreme Yang Divine Veins fuse successfully into Chen Xiang. They had assumed merging these veins would prove extremely challenging. Treating it as an experiment, they were uncertain of the outcome, yet success came far more easily than anticipated.

Su Meiyao and Bai Youyou withdrew their hands slowly while observing white and black mists rising from Chen Xiang. Complicated surprise showed on their faces. From the sisters’ knowledge, no one had ever possessed both Yin and Yang Divine Veins at once. Now they understood this young man, with diligent cultivation, would rise to become an unmatched master across the world.

Chen Xiang slowly opened his eyes, feeling an unprecedented comfort and power surging through him. “So this is what a Divine Vein feels like. Ah, it’s amazing! Soon I’ll step into the True Martial Realm!” Excitement filled Chen Xiang, and a sly, wicked grin crossed his face, a stark contrast to his former honest simplicity. This sight stirred unease in the two beauties’ hearts.

In the world of Cultivators, the Mortal Martial Realm consists of ten levels: Refining Qi, Quenching Body, Martial Body, Opening Vein, True Qi, Divine Sense, True Aura, Divine Power, True Form, and Completion at the end.

Beyond the Mortal Martial Realm lies the True Martial Realm, the aspiration of countless Cultivators. Upon entering it, immense power floods the body, and lifespan stretches to a thousand years.

Chen Xiang currently stood at the 3rd level of the Mortal Martial Realm, the Martial Body stage. For ages, breakthrough to the 4th level, Opening Vein, had eluded him.

“True Martial Realm? That would only shame the Divine Vein,” Bai Youyou said disdainfully.

Su Meiyao fixed Chen Xiang with a stern gaze. “With Yin and Yang Divine Veins, broaden your horizons! Power in this world keeps evolving endlessly. Countless realms exist. You’re now on Chenwu Mainland, merely a tiny mortal land fragment.”

“Remember our contract! You must help us regain our power! It won’t be easy!”

Chen Xiang nodded eagerly. “While I live, I’ll honor the contract and restore your strength, sisters.”

Bai Youyou nodded approvingly. “The fastest path to restore us is through dans—high-grade ones! Once we recover, the contract ends, and we’ll exact our vengeance.”

A touch of reluctance hit Chen Xiang, but having the two beauties remain with him brought joy. Su Meiyao plucked a ring from her flowing hair and tossed it to him. “Drip blood on it to claim ownership. It works like a storage pouch—store my elder sister and me inside, then climb up! Don’t linger here; demon beasts prowl often.”

With a drop of blood, Chen Xiang bound the ring. Its inner space was tiny, unlike the legendary vast seas of storage rings in tales.

Yet this storage device held living beings! Chen Xiang marveled. Ordinary storage pouches, rare and issued by immortal mountain sects, couldn’t contain life.

Following Su Meiyao’s instructions, he stored the two women in the ring. Slipping it on, the ring vanished from sight, deepening his admiration.

He swallowed the dan from his father, brimming with energy, and began scaling the cliff, abandoning the Death Qi-choked abyss below. The climb tested him harshly, worsened by the obscuring black Death Qi that hid footing.

After a full day of grueling ascent, Chen Xiang crested the top. Reflecting, the Divine Veins made it far easier than expected. During the climb, he drew in vast Spirit Qi that banished weariness, keeping him vigorous like a dragon and ferocious like a tiger the whole way.

Orienting himself, Chen Xiang headed back to Wohu City.

Though unseen inside the ring, he sensed Bai Youyou and Su Meiyao clearly.

“Sisters, when will you teach me those divine and devil exercises?” Chen Xiang asked eagerly, burning with curiosity about them.

“Your body’s too frail now for devil exercises,” Bai Youyou replied coldly via transmission.

Su Meiyao added, “Divine exercises you can start anytime, but head home first. I’ll also teach you alchemy.”

Joy surged in Chen Xiang’s heart, spurring him to dash at full speed.

Wohu City, in southern Southern Martial Empire, bustled with a million residents, grand and thriving. Home to the renowned Chen Family martial clan of the empire!

The Chen Family boasted thousands of years of legacy, their might enduring strong. Vast heritage sustained them across millennia, testifying to their power.

Wealthy too, the Chen Family dominated Wohu City’s economy. Their villa sprawled over thousands of acres, laced with countless courtyards and gardens, ringed by mountains and rivers—intruders would surely lose their way.

Tianhu Park screamed ownership by Chen Tianhu, as prominent Chen Family members naturally commanded vast estates.

“Dad, I’m back!” Chen Xiang burst into the library, knowing his father lingered there.

Chen Tianhu chuckled. “You rascal! Finally returned. Know there’s a beauty waiting for you? Remember the Xue family girl? Your little wife?”

Chen Xiang’s brow furrowed, recalling a jade-skinned charmer he played with at five or six.

“Father... you mean Xue Xianxian?” Chen Xiang asked, memory stirring of the Xue girl’s visits. They played all day back then, families betrothing them later.

Chen Tianhu nodded. “Yes, she’s at the villa. She arrived seeking herbs, begging to see you.”

Smiling, Chen Tianhu glanced out the window; Chen Xiang followed and spotted a jade-skinned girl strolling the courtyard.

Long-haired in a flowing white robe with golden accents, she evoked a fairy. Her fairy-like garb left Chen Xiang stunned by her allure. At fourteen or fifteen, her snow-white skin radiated beauty, riveting all eyes.

Spotting Chen Xiang at the window, joy lit her lovely face. “Brother Xiao Xiang!” she called sweetly.

Her gentle, vibrant voice ensnared souls. Chen Xiang conceded this younger girl matched the ring’s beauties in poise and looks—undeniably so, undeveloped as she was.

Chen Xiang gulped, chuckling dryly. “Truly the eighteen changes of a grown woman[1]! Never imagined this little one becoming a fairy.”

This heavenly Xue family daughter was Xue Xianxian.

“She’s my fiancée?!” Chen Xiang thrilled inwardly.

Before, heartache would grip him over lacking Spiritual Veins. Now with Yin and Yang Divine Veins, martial peaks lay within reach given time.

Xue Xianxian smiled softly, dimples blooming with a rosy blush, leaving Chen Xiang dazed once more.

Chen Tianhu laughed, clapping Chen Xiang’s shoulder. “Catch up with her.” Grinning, Chen Xiang bolted from the library.

In the courtyard, Chen Xiang seized Xue Xianxian’s soft hands without preamble, whisking her from his father’s view—like sneaking off for mischief.

With the little fairy, Chen Xiang reached his house, drawing envy from other Chen youths.

“Xianxian, how long will you stay with the Chen Family?” Chen Xiang asked laughingly, pinching her cute dimpled cheek.

Xue Xianxian smiled gently. “Brother Xiao Xiang, Father and I came to Wohu City for you, so not long.”

As a child, illness struck Xue Xianxian, bringing her to Wohu City for treatment. Frail and thin then, bullying plagued her in Chen and Xue families. Only Chen Xiang cared, playing and protecting her.

Those happy times etched deep. Despite learning of his missing Spiritual Veins and dim martial prospects, she chose marriage to him.

Chen Xiang felt mixed. He adored Xue Xianxian too. Childless playmates due to his veinless state, they bonded like twins.

“Brother Xiao Xiang, my family wants to cancel our betrothal, but I refused, so they sent me to meet the Yao family’s alchemy genius.” Seeing his face shift, Xue Xianxian giggled. “Don’t worry—I’d die before wedding that Yao brat. Word is his character’s vile.”

In the Southern Martial Empire, Xue Xianxian shone as a supreme genius, 6th level Mortal Martial Realm at fourteen. The Yao family’s sixteen-year-old dan refiner matched perfectly in eyes of many.

Chen Xiang stayed composed. Yin and Yang Divine Veins and mighty mystery tutors gave him assurance to surpass the Yao alchemist swiftly.

Grinning, Chen Xiang caressed Xue Xianxian’s refined cheeks. “Xianxian, visit the Yao family, declare your fiancé exists. If he balks, challenge me.”

His confidence delighted Xue Xianxian. Tiptoeing, she kissed his lips, then whispered head bowed, “Brother Xiao Xiang, grow strong. My family won’t scruple splitting us.”

Xue Xianxian glided through the courtyard like a swallow, graceful and nimble, distracting Chen Xiang foolishly. Her kiss lingered in his thoughts.

Chen Xiang licked his lips smiling. “That little girl’s grown so much.”
