The four Great Wizards entered an imaginary space to confront Cassandra, who had reneged on their deal. Despite their accusations of betrayal and the evidence presented, Cassandra claimed she only accepted gifts, not a contract. She then unleashed her "Abyss of Greed," a black hole that devoured their attacks and began to strip their essence, leaving them severely weakened.

When the rift of Imaginary Space resealed, the night sky over the Quicksand Lands returned to its superficial calm.

Yet, all beings with extraordinary perception could clearly sense the terrifying resonance lingering in the atmosphere.

These were the dreadful "traces" left by the fierce confrontation of four Great/Wizards, as discernible as ions in the air after a storm.

Leonardo stood on the viewing platform, his eyes behind the lenses filled with terror.

"Three Great/Wizards... simultaneously defeated..."

His voice trembled with shock, and the leather-bound record book in his hand nearly slipped to the ground:

"Such an event... hasn’t occurred in the last thousand years of Wizard history..."

At the level of Great/Wizards, the gap in individual strength rarely reaches such disparity.

After all, once one becomes a Great/Wizard, who hasn’t been a rare genius in their youth, with hardly any equal among peers as a usual matter.

But the power Cassandra displayed just now has completely transcended the scope of conventional Great/Wizards.

"It seems our evaluations of her power growth were still too conservative..."

Leonardo shook his head bitterly, beginning to reassess the losses the Life Tree School suffered in this conflict:

"Not only the serious injury of three Great/Wizards but also the complete nullification of deterrent power..."

In the ecosystem of the Wizard World, power is the fundamental basis for all discourse.

When the top combat strength of a faction is publicly crushed, its standing in various negotiations will inevitably plummet.

"We must immediately send out contacts to other schools..."

He forced himself to calm down, starting to consider specific strategies to cope with the crisis:

"If Cassandra truly decides to settle scores, we need as much ally support as possible..."

On the other side, after the battle ended.

"Seraphina."

Cassandra’s voice was calm as water, yet the threat contained within plunged the whole arena into a deathly silence:

"Although by rules, I can’t kill you Great/Wizards.

But devouring your school’s entire station is certainly doable."

She descended slowly:

"Give me a reason not to destroy your place."

Seraphina’s projection reformed in the air, but it was noticeably dimmer than before.

The severe wound to Void Remains made even maintaining a normal conscious projection difficult:

"Cassandra... we have an agreement..."

Her voice was frail, with every word seemingly exhausting all her energy:

"The cooperative relationship between the Life Tree School and the Crystal Tower for countless years..."

"Agreement?"

Cassandra sneered:

"Nowhere in the agreement does it state you can harm my people."

Purple flames began to dance around her.

Under such threat, even the ground trembled, as if fearing the impending judgment.

"We didn’t know that young man was important to you..."

Seraphina tried to argue, her tone nearly pleading:

"If we knew he was your... precious asset, we wouldn’t have involved him in such level of experimentation..."

This rhetoric essentially admitted the "mistakes" of the Life Tree School but simultaneously suggested these mistakes were "unintentional."

However, Cassandra was clearly disgusted by such insubstantial pleasantries.

"Know now."

She waved her hand: "Immediately end this foolish ritual, and release all survivors."

"Otherwise, may the Life Tree School disappear from this world."

......

In the central region of the arena, the members of the Sand Sea School team struggling desperately could hardly believe their eyes.

"Tower Master, why did you..."

Ron hadn’t finished speaking when he saw Cassandra casually raise her right hand.

That movement was so effortless, as if swatting away a bothersome mosquito.

Yet the effect it generated was destructive.

The humanoid centipede entity let out a despairing scream, but that sound was soon devoured by the void.

The entire monster visibly shrank and disintegrated, the forcibly fused tissue being separated by some irresistible force.

Lianna and Vini’s twisted consciousnesses uttered their final wails:

"No, our hard-won perfect form!"

"Why... why destroy our art..."

Yet this wailing quickly vanished within the Abyss of Greed’s devouring.

Those resurrected beings forcibly fused were re-separated into independent individuals.

Though they had already utterly died, they at least regained the basic dignity as "humans."

In less than ten seconds, that terrifying enemy which left Ron and his companions helpless was effortlessly dealt with.

Cassandra stood in the center of the arena ruins, but her expression wasn’t as gentle as Ron imagined.

"Ron."

Her voice returned to its former cold sternness:

"Do you know how much it cost me to save you this time?"

This question was like a pot of cold water poured over Ron’s head.

"Tower Master, I..."

Cassandra raised a hand to stop his words.

"Crossing quadrants, forcibly projecting Void Remains avatar, battling three Great/Wizards."

Cassandra slowly walked towards him:

"Activating the highest-level Teleportation Array of the Crown Clan, the cost of the star threads is enough to buy a small colony."

"Utilizing the core ability of Abyss of Greed has overdrafted nearly years of my power accumulation."

"Not to mention the series of chain reactions caused by completely tearing apart relations with the Life Tree School."

She stopped in front of Ron, looking down at this young man:

"Do you think such level rescue operations are free?"
