Lianna, Vini, and Caroline attempt to stall Leonardo, revealing their fear of his revival plan. Leonardo, seeing through their attempts, activates hidden neural implants, forcing them into a painful self-termination sequence. Despite their pleas and struggles, their bodies obey the commands, leading to their programmed deaths and subsequent revival.

As the darkness of death finally devoured their consciousness, the last thought in the hearts of the three was the same despair:

"We... have never truly lived..."

.........

The chill of death spread like a tide.

Lianna’s "corpse" lay quietly in a pool of blood, the fatal wound on her chest no longer bleeding.

Her skin was a sickly blue-purple, eyes closed, breath absent.

To any observer, this young witch seemed completely dead.

But at the peak of the eclipse’s glow, a miracle occurred.

Lianna’s body began to twitch slightly, like a specimen stimulated by an electric current.

At the edges of the fatal wound on her chest, a strange green sap began to ooze out.

This wasn’t blood, but some kind of plant essence brimming with life energy.

They writhed like living beings, quickly repairing damaged vessels and organs.

The entire resurrection process lasted nearly ten minutes.

When Lianna opened her eyes again, her pupils had turned a floral gold, with tiny stamens slowly rotating at the depths.

"I... am alive?"

She struggled to sit up, but immediately noticed the abnormal changes in her body.

Her once slender arms had become as thick as tree trunks, covered in a rough bark-like keratin layer.

More bizarrely, her palms and fingers had completely vanished, replaced by two giant carnivorous flowers.

These flowers were half a meter in diameter, filled with dagger-like sharp spines and glands secreting digestive fluid.

The edges of the petals were blood-red, inside an enticing pink, exuding a sickly sweet aroma.

But to intelligent beings, this scent carried a hypnotic and seductive effect.

"What is... this?"

Lianna looked fearfully at her "new" arms, trying to manipulate her fingers as before.

But the flowers only opened and closed mechanically, making chewing sounds.

More terrifyingly, she began to feel an unprecedented hunger.

Not ordinary appetite, but a greedy craving from the depths of her cells.

Her "new" arms seemed to have their own consciousness, constantly searching around for "nutrients" to devour.

It was then that Vini and Caroline approached from not far away.

They had just completed their own resurrections, adapting to their transformed bodies.

But when Lianna saw her teammates, her hunger surged to its peak.

In her new perception, Vini and Caroline were no longer comrades, but two walking pieces of delicious "meat".

The unique protein scent from Vini’s insect-like body;

The abundance of life energy within Caroline;

Each made Lianna’s predatory flowers secrete more digestive fluid.

"Vini..."

Lianna struggled to control her voice, but saliva involuntarily dripped from her mouth:

"You look... delicious..."

The flower-like arms started reaching towards Vini uncontrollably, petals opening to reveal vampire-like fangs inside.

Vini keenly sensed the danger, instinctively stepping back.

But her own mutations were equally unsettling.

Her once beautiful butterfly wings had become three pairs, each with different colors and functions.

The first pair retained their original vibrant colors, primarily for flight;

The second pair was deep purple, capable of releasing deadly toxic powder;

The third pair was blood-red, specifically used to detect the scent of blood.

But the most terrifying change was in her consciousness.

"I am Vini... no... I am the butterfly... where is the nectar... blood... I want blood..."

Her speech was disjointed, her tone constantly changing.

At times it was the rational voice of a human, at others a beast-like hiss and whisper.

During the resurrection, her human consciousness irreversibly merged with insect instincts.

Now, she simultaneously had two completely different modes of thought, constantly fighting for control of her body.

When the human consciousness dominated, she could communicate and think normally;

But when insect instincts prevailed, she became a pure predatory machine, concerned only with feeding, reproduction, and survival.

Caroline’s transformation was the most terrifying among the three.

Her abdomen had completely split open, forming a massive one-meter-wide opening.

Inside was a complex "biological factory," with countless tentacle-like production lines.

These production lines could manufacture various parasitic creatures at astonishing speeds:

Worms with sharp teeth, winged mini-spiders, self-exploding toxic sacs...

Each had specific functions and attack patterns.

But the issue was, Caroline had completely lost control over these "products".

Once created, these parasites acted on instinct, attacking all living creatures, including their "mother."

Now, Caroline was more like an out-of-control weapon factory, continuously producing dangerous creations she couldn’t even manage.

"Children... my children..."

She tried to cover the opening on her abdomen with her hand, but the newly birthed parasites immediately bit her fingers:

"Why... why are you attacking Mother..."

Blood dripped from her fingertips, only stimulating more parasites’ aggressive instincts.

The once harmonious teammates had now become threats to each other.

Lianna couldn’t control her craving for "food";
