Wizard: Stronger through Marriage Chapter 1229 - 570: Rainbow Core Element Crisis

At the side, Liya nodded silently. She still maintained the life-link state, pouring all her strength into supporting his revival and regulation process.
At this moment, the afterglow of the setting sun spilled over the Earth, coating all the shattered walls and broken ruins with a layer of golden-red splendor, forming a stark contrast with the night that was about to descend.
A cool breeze swept past, and between the brows of each person was written exhaustion, yet also a resolve that refused to bow to fate.
They were like human Warriors guarding the last glimmer of dawn; even when facing the unknown Dark Power, they would never bow their heads nor retreat!
As time flowed on, that string of ghostly blue Runes on the marble platform seemed to respond to the summons, lighting up again with pulsing ripples. One after another, phantom totems emerged, within which faintly lay a far more detailed and complex information system—
This was the very core of the altar’s secret, and the true mystery lurking behind this war...
"The future... is still full of trials." David murmured, his eyes fixed on the distant skyline where shapes were gradually fading away; that unknown region awaited them to uncover its answers step by step.
And now, they had seized a portion of the key to unlock the truth—the "Parasitic Gene" inherited from the Observer, which at the same time signified the very root of the catastrophe.
Dusk slowly shrouded the Earth. Low clouds hung in the sky, as though suppressing a storm on the verge of eruption.
In the distance, mountain ranges dissolved into hazy smoke and thin mist. The dying rays of the sun pierced layer upon layer of cloud-shadow, falling upon the rippling water’s surface, casting that vast and boundless expanse into a brilliant yet unfathomable blue-green ocean.
At this moment, within the Water Element King City of the Water Spirits—the most mysterious and magnificent stronghold in the Elemental World—the atmosphere was unusually tense.
Towering palaces of crystal-clear Crystal rose into the clouds, flickering with a ghostly cold light in the dark-blue glow, solemn and austere like lighthouses in the abyssal sea.
Yet beneath this tranquility, there lay a calamity about to sweep across the Kingdom and decide its life or death.
In the central plaza of the King City, a gigantic Rainbow Core Crystal stood tall. Its entire body shimmered with seven-colored radiance, and every pulse seemed to resonate with the whole Elemental World.
The Rainbow Core was not only the source of survival and strength for the Water Spirits, but also a vital bond that upheld Element balance.
Yet in the past few hours, this Rainbow Core had repeatedly emitted abnormal fluctuations, stirring unease in the hearts of countless Guardians and Priests.
On the high dais, a woman draped in a gauzy, resplendent robe, her face as gentle as flowing water yet tinged with an aura of unassailable majesty, was staring at the data image floating before her—an urgent signal transmitted remotely by the Star Pupil Race.
Her brows were knitted tight. Her fingertips brushed lightly across the anomalous waveform charts in the data projection; with each slide, the values shifted and leapt, and she clearly felt the immense threat concealed behind those numbers.
"The Master of Flame Demon... he has actually chosen this moment to launch a sudden assault on our King City." She murmured softly, her voice like a breeze skimming the lake’s surface, yet carrying a profound warning.
She was the Queen of the Water Spirits—Reina · Cobaltblue, renowned as the sovereign who commanded flowing Water and Frost Power, and guarded the Element balance.
"Your Majesty," a Guard hurried over and handed a sealed missive to She, "this is the latest news transmitted from the Star Pupil Race, with an updated analysis chart of the Rainbow Core’s anomalies attached."
Reina took the paper. It was a data Scroll as thin as a cicada’s wing yet etched with clear textures, upon which were drawn complex, luminous data streams and one after another Energy rift node. Those nodes writhed and stretched like tendrils in the dark; every fissure touched upon the lifeline of the Rainbow Core Energy Core, stirring a heart-trembling unrest.
She quickly unfurled the Scroll and sent out confidential orders, her gaze sweeping carefully over each critical parameter: "This is an unprecedented cataclysm... We must act at once, or the entire Elemental Domain will descend into irreparable Chaos."
Reina’s eyes were resolute. She slowly turned to the broad observation terrace within the hall, looking down through the transparent dome high above the clouds upon the entire King City.
Bursts of cold wind blew in, like a biting message from distant glaciers, making one involuntarily shiver.
Yet the determination on the Queen’s face did not waver in the slightest. She clenched her fist. "Summon all Guard captains and High Priests for an emergency council at once!
I must allocate every available resource immediately to repel the onslaught of the Master of Flame Demon!"
The Guard answered respectfully and hurried off to pass on the commands one by one, while Reina immersed Herself in a deeper analysis of the confidential contents—
The attached data charts not only revealed that the Flame Demon legion had already mastered a way to tear through the Rainbow Core’s Defense, but more crucially, they seemed to be using some Forbidden Technique to rapidly adapt to and exploit the mutational effects of the Parasitic Gene, multiplying the efficiency of their assaults!
"These parasitic encodings truly are as Hill said: they not only contaminate our Domain, but have been turned into weapons by the enemy." The Queen closed Her eyes and regulated Her breath for a moment; She felt the pure and mighty Water Magic coursing within Her, a stark contrast to the external Chaos creeping in.
"I will not permit this Dark Power to devour My people."
Outside the hall, a clamor of intense discussion drifted from the council chamber. Representatives of various factions voiced their worries and determination in turn, but some insisted they must proceed with caution, not recklessly charge ahead and hand their foes an opening.
This made the atmosphere of the meeting grow even more solemn. Every face bore the weight of pressure and responsibility—some had beads of sweat seeping at their brows, while others grit their teeth and stood unyielding.
A nearby elder Priest slowly spoke. His temples were flecked with gray, yet his spirit remained vigorous. "Your Majesty, if we are to withstand the Master of Flame Demon and his legion, we must harness the secret technologies embedded in those already-identified parasitic encodings, reinforce our fundamental Defense, and attempt to unravel their mutational mechanism. Otherwise, the enemy’s corruption will inevitably spread across the entire Elemental Realm."
