Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 3188: 658: Gathering of Dragons (part 2)
Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Years have elapsed.
The Chronicle of Ages marks the year 4700 in the Nora Calendar.
The Heavenly Beheading War has raged for two hundred years.
Conflicts of this magnitude, civil wars spanning millennia or even tens of millennia, are not uncommon.
Official figures indicate that one-fifth of the faith-based territories within Nora’s defined star zones have been reclaimed. Over a million churches have been razed, and the battle vanguard has eliminated nearly two thousand angel manifestations and more than ten lesser god embodiments, inflicting severe damage upon the astral realm.
On the War Merit rankings.
The Eighteen Twilight Lancers have distinguished themselves exceptionally.
The Fire Dragon Knight, in particular, commands a substantial lead, far surpassing all others.
After securing a definitive victory in the Multidimensional Plane, the Fire Dragon Knight guided the Apostle Corps into the astral world, advancing towards the Forest of Myriad Phenomena to rendezvous with the Esteemed Wizards....
The Nora Frontlines.
The Lord of Buried Stars engages three dragons single-handedly.
Leveraging its superior realm, it manages a precarious suppression.
However, its Supreme Demonic Physique has sustained grievous wounds from the Dragon Slayer Sword.
With a last-ditch effort to break through, it constantly confronts the peril of being annihilated.
Should it fall, Nora would triumph with minimal exertion.
Consequently, it hesitates to unleash its full might.
This situation causes considerable apprehension for the Abyss Will and the Star Ancestor deep within the astral realm.
The two colossal entities had not anticipated.
Despite their combined deployment of three supreme forces.
They would be unable to overwhelm Nora without the Chaos Emperor’s intervention.
At this juncture, their realization dawns.
The demise of Hera and the incapacitation of the Lord of Buried Stars are orchestrated by an unseen force.
And the orchestrator of this force is now deceased.
The Ancestral Wizard Sorren!
A meticulous review of past events would reveal:
From the ascendance of the insectoid race five millennia ago, through plane convergence, the Abyss Blood War, the Nightmare incursions, the Nora Netherworld accord, the events involving Kars, and the return of the Fire Sovereign, among others.
It seems unlikely these occurrences are mere coincidence.
This universe, stagnant like dead water for billions of years, could not have witnessed so many monumental events in a mere ten thousand years without clandestine intervention!
These are not the whims of fate; they are the product of deliberate actions!
Yet, this understanding arrives too late.
The two titans, initially intent on subjugating Nora, now harbor a desire merely to endure Nora’s relentless onslaught for a longer duration.
Awaiting the opportune moment to secure a sliver of vitality.
In their desperation, the Abyss Will transmits a command.
Instructing the Lord of Buried Stars to self-immolate and ascend, engaging in a final, desperate struggle. Failure to break the stalemate spells inevitable decline and eventual oblivion for the astral realm and the abyss!
Below the astral realm.
The Demon Core of the Lord of Buried Stars blazes ferociously.
An overwhelming aura surges anew.
The pressure exerted upon the three Legendary Dragon Species intensifies dramatically.
The Void Dragon is violently ejected from its ethereal state, the Mind Dragon suffers a mental backlash, and even the indomitable Power Dragon is sent reeling by a Demonic Claw; the Dragon Slayer Sword vibrates ominously.
The Power Dragon regains its footing, breathing heavily.
"Is this the moment for a final stand?
Can you two still endure?"
The Void Dragon and Mind Dragon respond:
"No problem."
The Power Dragon’s gaze hardens with resolve, displaying immense valor, and declares:
"Then very well, let the world bear witness... to the true meaning of a dragon!"
The Legendary Dragon Species, true divine beings.
Even if their existence ceases in this era.
They possess the ability to be reborn when the time is right in the future.
The three colossal legendary dragons initiate the combustion of their foundational power, manifesting the fundamental truths of Void, Mind, and Power. Every being on the battlefield is astonished.
The Frost Witch speaks with profound sincerity:
"Thank you, all three of you! Nora will forever cherish this immense debt of gratitude, eternally thankful!"
The Power Dragon replies:
"No thanks are necessary. We are not undertaking this for Nora.
It is for ourselves! And for the entirety of the Dragon Clan."
Regarding the establishment of the Dragon Palace and the deliverance of the Dragon Clan from the Chaos Emperor.
The Power Dragon, despite limited personal interaction, harbors significant admiration.
Regardless of the Emperor’s initial motivations, his actions speak louder than words.
With his aid, the dragon species has flourished.
This is an undeniable truth!
The Mind Dragon remarks:
"A pity we lack the Rainbow Dragon.
Otherwise, the four of us could have vanquished this demon long ago."
The Rainbow Dragon of this particular era represents a disgrace to the Legendary Dragon Clan.
Succumbing to seduction by the succubus queen, it ultimately met its demise.
However, it did fulfill the Chaos Emperor’s supreme bloodline requirement in the end.
In a certain sense, it accomplished its predestined role.
As for the Time Dragon.
This entity has transcended the temporal stream, serving as an utterly impartial observer throughout the ages.
Naturally, it is not factored into this equation.
The Void Dragon’s draconic essence surges within, its laughter echoing:
"It has been quite some time since we last unleashed the Legendary Domain.
[Void Dominion], manifest!"
Roar! Roar! Roar!
The embodiment of the legendary colossal dragons ignites with intensity, their figures expanding limitlessly, bearing a resemblance to a lesser version of the Supreme Body, their imposing aura surpassing that of the Four Emperors. The combined exhalation from the three colossal dragons completely nullifies the ultimate offensive. This surge of power causes the Lord of Buried Stars to burn with greater ferocity. Its assaults become increasingly relentless. Just as the Frost Witch makes ready to dispatch a contingent from the Eight Formation Map Battle Group to assist the three dragons, a new and sudden anomaly emerges. From the highest heavens, radiant starlight cascades down upon the mortal realm. "Great Technique: Ten Thousand Dragons Sovereign!" An unparalleled torrent of divine might washes over the Lord of Buried Stars. The specter of a gigantic, pure white dragon descends from the sky, joining the fray with the three dragons, forcefully repelling the Lord of Buried Stars. Additionally, a hybrid form, resembling a dragon and a horse, begins to materialize. It basks in the celestial river, exuding an aura of sanctity and solemnity. "Great Skill: Star Shepherd’s Word!" These two, the King of Ten Thousand Dragons and the Lord of the Stars, were appointed by the Star Ancestor. Following the outbreak of war, they were tasked with leading their subordinate deities to engage two formidable insect queens. They remained idle for two hundred years, observing the progression of the conflict. They awaited an opportune moment to switch allegiance. Now, the astral world's defeat appears inevitable. The Star Ancestor is strained, incapable of managing further challenges. The duo temporarily repels the insect queens and descends upon Nora. Concurrently, they proclaim their defection from the astral world, aligning themselves with the Heavenly Chopping faction. Following the Snow Goddess's earlier defection, two more powerful deities have now betrayed their former allies.
