Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 3178: 655: Solo Breakthrough into the Abyss (part 4)
Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
The Sea Beast God's eyes were wide with utter disbelief.
"No, this... this is simply impossible."
It could accept not defeating the Level 9 Levi, that was understandable.
But for Levi's woman to also be able to defeat it was beyond comprehension.
What had happened to the world?
Did a God not care for their reputation?
Elena let out a soft chuckle:
"You are nothing but a False God!"
After imposing a restriction, she utilized the wizard tower to crush it.
"I too have defeated Level 10 adversaries."At this precise moment, an indescribable sense of deep satisfaction washed over her.
She dispatched the battle recording to Levi before departing the combat zone.
If everything proceeded as planned, Levi should have already penetrated the Abyss Bottom.
...
Within a desolate, dark void.
The Abyss Realm Worm was anchored here.
A figure of pristine white descended silently, standing with hands clasped behind its back.
It was Levi, having hurried over. The abyssal maw of the Realm Worm's head had already sealed shut. Ever since the last infiltration by the Chaos Emperor, the Abyss had implemented strict protocols against casual entry.
"Three hundred thousand years ago, Sauron nearly breached the Abyss, halted at the 666th level... Today, I stand upon the foundation built by giants. As long as the Abyss Will itself does not interfere, I shall pierce through the Abyss and overturn this entire world!" Levi declared, filled with fervor.
He produced a snapping sound with his fingers.
The Eternal Star Abyss manifested across the heavens, with ten thousand Shadows arrayed beneath the colossal structure.
The commanders were Disaster, Lost, and Death – the Three Emperors. They had been secretly guarding the three siblings, but with a far more critical mission now at hand, Levi had summoned them.
The three siblings had been assigned by Levi to a specific Star Zone to undertake the mission of liberating the Belief Land.
The peril there was minimal, and given their strength, no escorts were deemed necessary.
Furthermore, Levi had bestowed the supreme treasure, the Dragon Palace, upon the youngest sibling.
The Spirits of the Twin Dragons possessed peak combat prowess, more than sufficient to ensure their safe passage.
An immense Blood Sea materialized, coalescing into the silhouette of a formidable Blood-colored Knight.
The Blood Battle Spirit had remained at the Level 10 Late Stage Realm for an extended period.
This time, Levi intended for it to ascend to the Supreme level.
Levi activated the Bloodbath Effect, channeling his spiritual force while burning it.
He clasped his hands together, reciting arcane incantations.
"Hand of the Universe!"
From the boundless chaos, two colossal white hands, each stretching for millions of miles, emerged. Resembling immense mechanical arms extending from Levi's back, they plunged directly into the head of the Abyss Realm Worm.
Rumble!
The Abyss Realm Worm began to shudder and convulse violently.
Rip.
The fabric of the Abyss appeared to tear open like dark threads, revealing the profound blackness lurking behind. Demonic aura condensed into a gargantuan face spanning millions of miles.
The indistinct form of the Abyss Will could be discerned within.
"How dare you desecrate the Abyss! Perish!"
It roared, launching itself towards Levi.
"You are merely a power projection, be gone!"
The pure white giant hand descended with immense force, shattering thousands of miles of the void mirror.
The colossal face was pulverized, dissolving back into mere demonic aura.
Levi raised his longsword towards the tear, issuing his command:
"Annihilate every demon you encounter... If possible, capture the Dragon Abominations and demonic beasts alive. If not, slay them and suppress their essence within the wizard tower."
Demonic beasts are a general term for various corrupted creatures.
They still possessed a glimmer of hope for redemption, including certain rare species that had vanished from the Multidimensional Plane. As the appointed zoo director, their salvation was a solemn duty.
However, for the native demons, there was no need for such leniency.
These beings were inherently untamable, and harboring them would represent a significant latent danger.
Once Nora achieved unification and purged the Abyss Will, select species might be preserved for cultivation, yielding valuable potion ingredients. But for the present, extermination was the most prudent course of action.
Considering the reproductive and adaptive capabilities of demons,
complete eradication was an impossibility.
Levi summoned six Level 10 Mid Stage giant spirits to forge a path forward.
He and the Shadow army followed closely, the Blood Battle Spirit already quivering with anticipation.
Upon receiving Levi's assent, it transformed into a streak of crimson light and surged into the fray.
...
On the Astral world battlefield.
The Abyss Will's expression shifted dramatically as it engaged the Mother River.
"Chaos, return to the Abyss with haste! The Chaos Emperor has infiltrated!"
It had never anticipated this entity daring to abandon Nora and venture solo into the Abyss.
Elsewhere.
The Chaotic Servant found itself in a dire situation.
"Lord, I am unable to disengage."
The Fire Sovereign, Emmon, alongside eight other Peak Experts, had its forces surrounded.
After conducting an internal analysis, it transmitted a message to the Abyss Will: "Now that the Chaos Emperor has departed from Nora's side, her Supreme combat power must be depleted. My Lord, rather than attempting a rescue within the Abyss, you should dispatch a Supreme expert to launch an assault on Nora, compelling the Chaos Emperor to return for its defense."
The Abyss Will then relayed a message to the Star Ancestor:
"The Master of the Dusk Palace has journeyed to the Abyss, leaving Nora unguarded. Cease your concealment of power and immediately dispatch supreme combat forces to descend upon Nora. Should the Abyss fall,
your astral world cannot stand alone."
The Star Ancestor harbored internal hesitation.
Considering the gravity of the situation, he acknowledged that no private reserves could be maintained.
It declared:
"We shall each dispatch one Supreme."
The Abyss Will responded:
"Agreed."
It appeared the Lord of Chaotic Star would need to make an appearance sooner than anticipated.
...
On the first layer of the Abyss.
Here, the sky and earth were a dark brown hue, with dense demonic aura coalescing into lakes, visible in every direction. Levi had donned the fitting attire of a Black Armor swordsman.
His boots crushed a pale, plump insect beneath his feet.
It resembled a maggot, emitting a strange shriek before its demise. This creature possessed no combat capability whatsoever; even mortals armed with weapons could handle it. Yet, as one surveyed the surroundings, the first layer teemed with such insects, stretching endlessly to the horizon.
Levi recalled Sauron's "Abyss Atlas."
"Abyss Worms."
The ecological system of the Abyss was quite peculiar.
The very first ancient demons were, in fact, transformations of Abyss Worms.
Abyss Worms metamorphose into Flame Demons upon contact with fire, become Fish Demons when encountering water, and turn into Stone Statue Demons when exposed to earth... and so on, continually branching and evolving.
This process gave rise to the myriad demon species seen today.
Demons that originate from Abyss Worms are initially quite feeble but possess significant growth potential, with a maximum cap of Level 10. Presently, most demons are produced through the reproduction of existing demons, completely bypassing the worm stage.
For instance, the offspring of two Level 9 Flame Demons.
Might be born at Level 4 or Level 5.
However, such demons face great difficulty in surpassing their progenitor's strength throughout their existence. The further down the generations, the lower the ultimate potential.
Consequently, the Level 9 and Level 10 demons within the Abyss are almost universally evolved from worms, and these worms continue to spawn new species.
Shadows were already engaged in eradicating worms throughout the area.
Levi shook his head, commanding:
"Continue advancing; do not squander time here."
Abyss Worms were far too numerous; as long as demonic aura was abundant, they could propagate, not just within the Abyss but also in Nora. Therefore, complete eradication was an impossibility.
This situation was comparable to dealing with mosquitoes.
However, the transformation from a worm to the most rudimentary Ash Demon required millennia of evolution, posing no immediate threat to the Heavenly Chopping War.
Across the plains, sparse, tiny demons emerged only to be consumed by the Blood Battle Spirit.
"Let's proceed."
Levi executed a sword slash, cleaving open a rift that led to the second layer.
Here, swarms of demons began to materialize.
But they were all weak, and he saw no point in wasting effort on them. He moved forward swiftly, unleashing Sword Qi continuously, breaking through their ranks.
Half a day later, he had reached the 100th layer of the Abyss. He merely carved the path, while the Shadows and the Blood Battle Spirit swept through, reducing countless demons to dust.
Three days passed.
Levi had ascended to the 201st layer.
Perhaps due to the ongoing support for the astral world, no Level 10 demons were encountered along this stretch.
A month elapsed.
Deep within the 305th layer of the Abyss.
He finally detected the presence of Level 10 demons. Before he could even identify the adversary, the unfortunate being was already pulverized into a meat paste by the six colossal soldiers preceding him. Its very soul was then devoured by Leon, who had been lying in wait.
