Levi responded:
"Thank you, madam. I am aware of what needs to be done."
Before the Netherworld Ancestor departed, he issued a caution: "The Nightmare Stone embodies the might of the Supreme Will. Exercise prudence during its refinement; proceed gradually, as excess is as detrimental as scarcity."
...
Levi sought out Fingal.
He presented half of the Nightmare Stone Fragments.
"A fierce conflict lies ahead. Proceed to the Nightmare World and refine these fragments. Endeavor to reach the late stage of level-10 within a decade. The Nightmare World must remain under your dominion."
Fingal acknowledged:
"Understood."
He was on the cusp of advancing to the Late Stage. With the Nightmare Stone, his progression would be significantly expedited. To command these Nightmare Monarchs effectively, a strength of at least Emperor Level Four was necessary for greater confidence.>...
Returning to the Ancient Banyan Fairyland. .
Within the cave, Leon slumbered soundly amidst a collection of containers.
Levi expressed his helplessness:
"One can only wonder when this fellow will awaken. With a great war imminent, the souls of those gods and demons cannot be allowed to go to waste..."
After consuming a true soul of Supreme Level, Leon once again retreated into slumber.
This period of sleep extended for several centuries.
"Eat, then sleep; sleep, then eat... now that is the life of dreams."
Despite his relatively brief tenure as Grand Council Chairman, Levi found himself already weary. The burden of fostering a civilization's revival and holding the fate of countless lives in his hands proved overwhelmingly heavy.
It did not truly align with his inclinations.
Should Nora succeed in her grand endeavor of unifying the Universe and establishing stability, Levi intended to relinquish all responsibilities and entrust the position of Grand Council Chairman to Ace.
...
Years elapsed.
As the Gondor Three Heroes emerged onto the world stage, Nora gave birth to three more Legendary Wizards: [Death Wind], [Fertile Soil Empress], and [Black Iron Venerable].
Death Wind was a rare Dual Practitioner, affiliated with both the Storm and Death Sects, registered under the Storm Faction. His Legendary Profession and title bore the same name, and his power was immense. Eschewing the Summoning Style, he unleashed devastating winds imbued with Death Energy upon his adversaries.
The Fertile Soil Empress possessed the Legendary Profession of [Earth Gardener]. As her title suggested, her abilities centered around cultivation. Her Legendary spell, [Fertile Breath], could accelerate the maturation of medicinal herbs, enhance the soil quality of the Continent, and nourish oasis vegetation, thereby aiding in the resistance against the Abyss.
Black Iron Venerable was known as the Black Iron Walker. He belonged to the same era as the White Banker and also achieved legendary status in his later years. His Legendary Profession was [Black Iron Dominator].
The number of Nora's surviving legendary powerhouses reached thirty-nine.
Time marched onward.
On the eve of Nora's planned crusade against the Underworld and the Abyss, a titanic convergence of winds and clouds surged across the Ancient Dragon Continent, all drawn toward the Witch's Family. This earth-shattering anomaly alarmed numerous individuals.
At the round table, Levi, engrossed in a meeting, momentarily faltered.
A profound emotion stirred within him.
Triss was finally on the verge of advancing to legendary status.
Emmon declared:
"The Medicine God has finally found a successor."
For the Nora Civilization, the significance of Triss attaining legendary status was incalculable. While her cultivation talent might have been considered ordinary, her alchemical talent was virtually unparalleled throughout history.Even at the ninth circle, she had already pioneered numerous epoch-making medicines.
What could she achieve upon reaching legendary?
Triss arrived on the Sorren Continent.
She could sense the attentive gaze of countless beings.
It felt as though an unseen force was bestowing its blessing upon her.
"Perhaps this is the very fortune of a civilization. Individuals and civilization mutually fulfill each other. For Nora to seamlessly nurture so many legendary figures is the culmination of favorable timing, advantageous location, and suitable individuals."
Triss understood this implicitly.
"I too can become legendary!"
She cast numerous materials associated with poison and water into the Refining Array, conjuring beneath the Sky Dome a pitch-black, ink-like vortex, a chilling manifestation of the Poison Sea. Clad in a black veil, Triss beneath the abyssal waters resembled an elegantly cold, noble Beauty Snake.
Three years later.
A wisp of ethereal black gas playfully coiled around Triss’s slender, jade-white fingertips.
She softly uttered:
"Legendary Artifact: Black Sea Breath."
If she did not return, she hoped her loved ones would not mourn her excessively. Taking a deep, resolute breath, she assimilated the anomaly, stepped onto the shimmering black rainbow bridge, and strode directly into the encroaching Darkness.
"Mom, you can do it!"
"Grandma, give it your all!"
Within the Mechanical Sky Net, Eyre and his son Anya materialized.
Levi observed the retreating silhouette of the lady.
"I shall await your triumphant return, madam."
...
Time wore on, each day a test of endurance in the crucible of waiting.
In the blink of an eye, a month had passed.
As twilight descended that evening.
Levi, jolted from his meditation at the round table, opened his eyes, a spark of excitement igniting within.
"She has returned!"
His gaze ascended to the heavens.
The dark bridge materialized once more, and a cloaked figure in black stepped onto the ethereal waves, advancing deliberately. Fading behind her were five spectral phantoms, and in her wake lay an immense Black Sea. The surging waves, akin to obedient sentinels, enveloped her, the Pursuing Shadows, at their core. Where the Black Water flowed, the Void itself warped and fractured, all matter recoiling, leaving behind indelible black scars upon the very fabric of existence, wounds that defied easy mending.
Triss had arrived on the Sorren Continent.
She surveyed the desolation stretching out behind her.
"Esteemed Grand Council Chairman, would you be so kind as to attend to this matter?
I have only just attained the legendary status and still struggle to command Legendary Power with absolute freedom..."
Levi snapped back to the present, murmuring an "Ah."
With a gesture, he summoned vast Chaotic Power, which swept over the ravaged landscapes. The fundamental elements of Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water remolded the world, and the azure sky, adorned with white clouds, reappeared.
Levi offered a smile.
"Congratulations, Madam."
Triss turned her gaze toward Levi.
"Throughout this journey, I thank you, Grand Council Chairman, for your unwavering support."
The three Poison Monarchs Triss had employed in the refinement of the anomaly, along with the Heart of Thousand Poisons and other crucial poison-attribute materials, had all been provided by Levi. She could never forget such profound generosity.
Levi responded:
"You are the pride of our Nora. It was not merely my support, but the imperative of our civilization that required you. We stand in need of a new Medicine God... and that singular role is yours, and yours alone."
A faint blush touched Triss's cheeks.
Her thoughts then drifted to the apparition of the Thousand Mountains Immortal.
Observing from the gathered throng, the Mountain Knight wore an expression of profound satisfaction. This ancient Medicine God of ages past had, indeed, foreseen it all.
