Nora Dark Side.
Roger Mountain.
Wagner stirred from his deep sleep. Standing before him was his student, the Shadow Queen. "Teacher, the full-scale counteroffensive has commenced. The Grand Council Chairman has requested your awakening."
He inquired, "How long has it been since I last slept?"
The Shadow Queen responded, "Less than a century. How do you feel, Teacher?"
Wagner perceived his spiritual force as continuously expanding without the need for meditation. He let out a wry smile and a sigh, stating, "I have grown stronger..."
While others celebrated increased strength, an indescribable sentiment stirred within him. The unique traits and emotions that defined him were progressively vanishing as he became more assimilated by the Shadow Will. In the long run, he would inevitably become one with it. He had understood this possibility ever since the convergence of the two planes.
Wagner offered a smile and reassured her, "Do not worry, I will guard this place diligently. I observe that your spiritual force has improved significantly. You appear to be on the verge of reaching the Senior Nine Ring. Continue your efforts, and soon you shall attain legendary status."
The Shadow Queen gave a nod. "Teacher, I shall take my leave now."
As he watched his student depart, Wagner murmured to himself, "I wonder how much longer I can endure... At the very least, I must persevere through this Nightmare War. The Abyss is not suited for extended dark side conflicts and will not select this location as a breach point."
...
In the vicinity of Nora.
Within the Land of Darkness, stargates flickered to life. Gigantic, energy-shielded star fortresses emerged, carrying battle formations as they executed space jumps. The stargate initiative had already established more than ten thousand concealed entry points across the Pan-Plane. These interconnected gates enabled the Nora Battle Group to traverse the entire Pan-Plane within a decade.
While not yet achieving the scale of Wagner's envisioned Shadow Network, its transportation efficiency far surpassed that of certain colossal civilizations still reliant on more rudimentary methods. Thirty-six thousand star fortresses silently encircled the distant Nightmare Headquarters, subsequently vanishing into the Void through stealth protocols, awaiting the signal for unified engagement.
...
Nightmare World.
Fingal stood upon the remains of a monarch, drawing forth the Fear Sword. The fallen foe was the [Drowned Monarch], a formidable entity at Level 10 Middle Stage, who specialized in insidious water techniques, silently dispatching opponents and posing a significant challenge to the army.
With his longsword, Fingal cleaved open the Drowned Monarch's swollen abdomen, reminiscent of a waterlogged corpse. A torrent of foul water and a gleaming crystal emerged. "Not bad. This can aid the Ninth-Circle Wizards of the Ocean Faction in deepening their understanding of water principles."
Elena and Triss, now both Senior Nine Ring cultivators, required such resources for their spell research. After collecting the monarch’s valuable materials, Fingal observed the receding, unrooted water, which revealed fleeting silhouettes of affected soldiers. Some unfortunate individuals, like Emperor Mu, who had absorbed a tremendous amount of damage, were directly slain by the Drowned Monarch and were now presumably rushing towards this location.
Witnessing Fingal display such divine might, they couldn't help but express their awe. "So powerful. Level 10 Middle Stage opponents are no longer much of a threat."
"Indeed, we have already subjugated twelve Great Domains."
By conquering cities and incorporating the surrendered populace, the Dusk Army's might had expanded by half since their entry, continuing to gain momentum like a rolling snowball. Just last year, in addition to the Ghost Alley Monarch, another monarch had defected from Nightmare. This was the previously defeated and fleeing [Blood Sea Mosquito Lord].
It had feigned its demise to evade conscription, but Fingal eventually discovered it. This entity wore a crimson robe, surrounded by innumerable mosquitoes, with a raging sea of blood swirling around it. Possessing a Level 10 Middle Stage cultivation, it now served as Fingal's Left and Right Protector, alongside the Ghost Alley Monarch.
"My Lord, this way, please. I am aware of another monarch's hidden location." The Blood Sea Mosquito Lord offered a fawning smile, embracing the philosophy that if they couldn't prosper, neither should anyone else. Assuming the role of a guide, Fingal smiled. "Excellent. You shall be richly rewarded once Nightmare is vanquished."

Pharmacist Association.
Elena exchanged her pharmacist's robe for a suit of armor. Triss inquired, "Are you intending to head to the front lines?"
Elena affirmed, "Yes. The pharmaceutical project is nearing completion. My heart yearns for battle, and I do not wish for Levi to face the battlefield alone."
Triss responded, "Very well, take care. I still have duties here and cannot accompany you to the battlefield. The two potions I prepared for you, if employed effectively, can yield marvelous results."
Two vials of potion, one red and one blue, floated in Elena's palm. Throughout the years, the Pharmacist Association had diligently researched Nightmare potions. Their initial creation was the red [Illusion-breaking Potion], which, upon consumption, enabled even wizards not affiliated with the Dream School to discern any illusion below Rank 10, and even possessed a degree of efficacy against Rank 10 illusions.
Furthermore, the azure [Descent Potion], when its properties were inverted and it was included as a component in any offensive spell, possessed the ability to temporarily ensnare any foe not of Level 10 or below within a fantastical realm upon impact, transforming into a crucial lifeline.
"Thank you, you are destined to become a Medicine God."
Elena pivoted and departed, making her way toward the front lines.
Not much time elapsed before an aged and imposing figure materialized.
This was the Thousand Mountains Immortal, who spoke in a measured tone:
"Triss, while I am away, the association is in your capable hands."
Triss acknowledged with a grave nod, replying:
"Rest assured, Teacher."
The Thousand Mountains Immortal continued:
"Within this crystal orb lies the entirety of my accumulated knowledge and understanding of Pharmacy. Absorb it diligently. I am confident you will achieve legendary status, surpassing even myself... All that is required is time and self-belief."
Triss then uttered:
"Teacher... You."
The Thousand Mountains Immortal chuckled, remarking:
"Fear not, it is not a deathbed premonition prompting this. It is merely a precautionary measure."
Only then did Triss accept the crystal orb, observing her mentor's departure.
Subsequently, she bid farewell to numerous fellow pharmacists.
