Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method Chapter 2893: 588: Time Dragon! The Supreme Beings’ Trail!

Previously on Wizard: Starting With the Knights Breathing Method...
Levi, entranced by the Small Stone Pond, beheld a dreamlike river and an ancient castle, from which the legendary Time Dragon—a semi-transparent giant with bubble-like gloss—emerged into the void. The foremost of the Five Legendary Dragon Species, it revealed its origins as a unique entity born in the Ancient Era, ascending to supreme power by merging all Time Dragons across timelines, rendering it untouchable yet eternally bored and impotent to change fate. Coiling in the castle's shadow, the dragon recounted discovering the Time Castle at the River of Time's depths, containing an empty "Age History Book" for objectively recording cosmic events from the Primordial Era onward. When it offered knowledge of major timelines and primordial influences, Levi declined, sensing the unbearable consequences of such forbidden insight.

Levi shook his head as he replied:

"I'm not interested in learning that. It fills me with a feeling of fate and powerlessness, like the conclusion was set ages ago... Even if the cosmos truly operates this way, I prefer to hold an optimistic view that my actions can alter the path for Nora and me alike. The conclusion isn't fated; I craft it myself!"

A faint smile appeared on the Time Dragon's face, as it had anticipated Levi's response.

This wasn't due to glimpsing it in the upcoming instant of the timeline.

Instead, it inferred from Levi's previous encounters.

"I posed the same inquiry to Edmund, and his reply echoed yours closely. It appears humans share remarkably alike views on some matters."

The Time Dragon abruptly remarked:

"This burden weighs heavily on me. I possess knowledge of countless secrets yet remain unable to voice them. Can you grasp my plight? I frequently jest that I'm less the Time Dragon and more the Time Cage. Such is the toll for ascending to the Supreme."

Levi inquired: "Does attaining the Supreme demand specific sacrifices? If you can respond to this, I'd appreciate the insight. Otherwise, no issue; I'll discover it independently."

The Time Dragon responded:

"If it's a sacrifice hinges on your viewpoint. Seek it out personally; the journey proves far more engaging."

"Very well, my thanks."

Levi raised this point since he sensed that neither Sauron nor the Supreme Wills of the Four Great Giants worlds resembled ordinary entities. Maybe ascending to Supreme transforms one into something like those ancient Primordial beings.

"Very well, it's time for me to leave. Farewell, young one."

The Time Dragon's form dissolved into the flow of time and disappeared. As the Time Historian, it also authored the "Age History Book."

Levi's emotions remained stirred for quite some time.

He had at last encountered the second entity at Supreme level, apart from the Netherworld Ancestor. From one angle, it could indeed claim the title of the universe's mightiest.

Yet from another perspective, it stands as the cosmos's frailest.

"Among the Five Legendary Dragon Species, the Rainbow Dragon merged with my lineage, the Void Dragon dwells in the Underworld, the Mind Dragon resides in the Nightmare, the Time Dragon rises above all, but the Power Dragon's location eludes me... Perhaps it's in the astral realm?" Levi whispered to himself.

He returned to the Chaos Holy Soul, resuming his scrutiny of the scenes unfolding ahead.

An ever-pulsing red heart came into view, likely the "Eternal Heart" mentioned by Sauron, with its remnant being the "Blood of Multiplication."

Additional Primordial beings appeared, ones Levi had yet to meet, most of whom had extinguished themselves or integrated into the universe's laws, bequeathing remnants behind.

He spotted a spectral golden broadsword as well, which he dubbed the "Primordial Sword," probably an embodiment of the metal element's principles.

Following its own demise, it scattered numerous remnants. Levi recognized several, including that venerable lance radiating boundless keen energy.

"It resembles the Dusk Spear."

Levi whispered, verifying by contrast; it matched exactly.

This artifact originated in the Primordial Era as a Primordial relic, an innate treasure, though subsequent eras saw it shaped by sentient hands. Once those wielders perished, the creation reverted to its primal state, later spotted by Roger amid the Rainbow Sea.

"Oh, now I understand."

Levi noticed a subtle golden item resembling withered bamboo, another accidental byproduct of the broadsword's collapse, consumed by a certain thunderous Primordial entity and lost forever.

"Why does this seem so recognizable? Might it be the Golden Electric Sword Grass?"

Levi remembered that upright bamboo stalk; it bore a striking resemblance.

"It has to be... Thus, the enigmatic herb I stumbled upon in the ancient tower was once a remnant of a Primordial essence, lying dormant across eons until it germinated by chance within the tower."

Little surprise the Golden Electric Sword Grass wields such might, its possibilities boundless; at its core, it's an exceptional relic, and Lord Victor struck gold acquiring it.

"Should Lord Victor reach Nine Rings perfection, refining the Dusk Spear and crafting the Golden Electric Sword Grass into a Legendary Artifact, upon entering the legendary realm, he'll surely prove formidable, harboring real chances to attain Supreme someday!" Levi's thoughts surged.

The Chaos Wizard represents one route, the knight embodies six routes, Levi grasps seven Supreme routes himself. Lord Victor's triumph would add the eighth. Assigning routes to the Holy Infant and Gandaph apiece would total ten.

Ideal!

"My immediate goal: locate certain Primordial Relics."

Primordial Relics endure; they get claimed by select entities or transform into alternate forms. Persistent search always yields at least a couple.

Back then, despite harsh circumstances, Sauron unearthed plenty. Building upon such legacies, Levi stood poised to surpass.

The greater the readiness against the Giants, the superior.

Levi pressed on with his examination.

"That presence akin to a mother nest's consciousness, in its womb-shaped state, faced a siege that nearly ended it, leading to an immediate self-explosion that dispersed various relics.

The crimson massive rock must be the "Evolution Stone Plate" referenced by Heavenly Will; who would guess the plate stems from the Nest—utterly astonishing.

Regrettably, the Nest didn't perish completely. Drawing on the force of its detonation, it luckily escaped via fissures into other universes and has since reemerged."

Understanding the Nest's remarkable roots weighed upon Levi's spirit.

A creature enduring to the finale must possess immense strength.

Furthermore, persisting post-detonation in a foreign universe.

Even rallying an insect horde for a renewed assault, its resolve proves overwhelmingly fierce.
