Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys Chapter 1651 - 570: The Pros and Cons of Apotheosis (Part 3)
Previously on Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys...
A subtle disturbance was felt by the Fiend Demon within Cologne Cathedral at that moment. Wisps of Evil Qi began to stealthily migrate underground, detaching from their original positions.
...
An hour later.
Within the study of Rose Manor.
"Let's absorb these small Divine Fragments first."
Rein shattered six small Divine Fragments in his hand. Instantly, six clouds of multi-colored smoke dissipated into the air.
Concurrently, a system notification chimed:
[Ding! Detected Divine Fragments capable of enhancing the spiritual power fission degree. Accelerate absorption? (Note: System absorption removes impurities for immediate completion.)]
Rein promptly selected "Yes!"
Immediately, the howls and curses of the Evil Gods reverberated around him.
To Rein, however, these sounds were akin to the lamentations of the defeated, a futile display of impotent rage that only served to underscore his triumph. They were utterly insignificant.
Following purification by the system, the six purified strands of energy surged from Rein's arm directly into his mind, much like rivers flowing into a vast sea.
Within Rein's mental expanse, the pulsating core of his spiritual power fission intensified.
Mere seconds later, having completed the absorption, Rein consulted his attribute panel:
Spirit: 425 (Fission 79%)
"Only 79%?"
A sense of unease gnawed at Rein!
Based on this progression, even absorbing the medium Divine Fragment from Erebus might not be sufficient to smoothly ascend to the rank of a Sixth Level Wizard Sun God Throne.
"The jump from 49% to 79% is indeed substantial."
"However, these were six small Divine Fragments. On average, that's merely a 5% increase per fragment?" Rein's brow furrowed slightly.
"It appears the difficulty in reaching the late stage of a Full Moon Wizard is more than double that of the early and middle stages."
"Indeed, for nearly ten thousand years, there's been no mention of anyone ascending to the Sun God Throne. If it were easily attainable, a prodigy like Emperor Atlas would have achieved it long ago."
After a moment's contemplation, Rein decided to set aside his concerns for the moment and focus on absorbing the final Divine Fragment.
A few seconds passed...
Observing the 'Fission 93%' displayed on his attribute panel, Rein couldn't help but sigh:
"As expected! Even after absorbing a medium Divine Fragment, I still haven't reached Sixth Level Wizard."
"This means I am still unable to wield the true Divine Artifact, the Time Key."
"However, after this recent conflict, I suspect the Evil Gods will remain in hiding for some time. I can no longer rely on them for opportunities."
At this juncture, the communication emblem on Rein's chest began to pulse.
With a light tap of his finger, Olena's voice rapidly transmitted:
"Lord of the Steel Throne, Grand Astromancer Dalain and several other Grand Astromancers have detected Graham's movements on the newly repaired Star Mage Platform. The target appears to be concealed within the Hammerfall Mountains."
Despite Olena being merely a Third Level Wizard Apprentice, she served as Rein's occupational secretary and possessed a specialized communication device from the Floating City for regular contact.
"Excellent! Please extend my gratitude to Dalain and the Astrologers. I will depart for the Hammerfall Mountains immediately."
A surge of delight coursed through Rein; they had finally located the enemy.
He harbored a hope that the opponent would summon the Spider Evil God Nael Breccan once more. Such an event would present a prime opportunity to acquire another Divine Fragment and potentially achieve a breakthrough.
With a brief moment of thought, Rein's form dissolved from the study.
