Cleya, gripped by worry over Rein's misfortune, remained at his mansion to console his family while facing pressure from her own father's letters urging her to reconsider past suitors. In the dead of night, she discovered Rein's loyal steed Xiao Hei slain by a leather-armored woman who repelled her attack and vanished, leaving a chilling promise to return. Though guards and Rein's friends Luther and Halowin pledged vigilant protection, doubts lingered over the intruder's elusive talents. Rein's unexpected return sparked joy and relief among Cleya, his sister Bo He, and parents, as he swiftly contacted Menia to address the threat tied to Second Prince Everton. Menia intervened decisively, demanding Everton yield the culprit Quinna, prompting his furious yet cunning preparations for compliance.

The front yard of Rein Mansion.

Right when Rein finished saying goodbye to the group and was about to go to the Sword Holder Headquarters for the airship, all of a sudden, an opulent carriage pulled up right at the mansion gate.

Buchanan, butler to Second Prince Everton, got out of the carriage alongside the tall Quinna, who was bound in chains.

"That's her, Rein."

Cleya spotted Quinna right away, since she was the one who slew the speedy Antelope Little Black and clashed with her just the previous night; it was definitely her.

"Hmm." Rein gave a nod.

Seeing this unfold, Rein felt a touch of astonishment, because he hadn't anticipated such swift action from Menia, having the Second Prince's butler show up in person after only thirty minutes, delivering the shadow dragon bloodline carrier Quinna.

Even with the restraints on her, Quinna kept a bold expression on her face.

She showed no emotion toward anyone but Rein. While walking by Cleya, she let out a faint hum, appearing either annoyed or taunting.

Right then, Buchanan scanned the area, offered a grin, moved a bit closer, and declared, "Lord Rein, it's been a while."

"Lord Luther and Lord Halowin, good morning to you both, and good morning to the ladies as well."

"Lord Rein, the Second Prince asked me personally to express his regrets to you. We truly had no idea about Quinna's earlier independent moves, and we offer our deepest apologies for the disturbance inflicted on you and your household."

"Here's a property on the outskirts of the Imperial City; kindly take it. Regarding Quinna, she's yours to handle now." Buchanan stayed composed during his words and handed over a title document.

Rein barely spared the deed a look; instead, he fixed his gaze on Buchanan and replied, "Tell Everton this: for Prince Menia's sake, we'll call it even."

"Hand over the captive, then you may leave."

Upon hearing Rein call his master by his first name so bluntly and brush off the peace offering entirely, Buchanan's cheeks flushed red at once.

Serving as the Second Prince's butler and holding the rank of Imperial Earl, he'd never faced such outright dismissal before.

Besides, in his mind, the regrets he'd just voiced had already shown Rein plenty of courtesy.

Still, Buchanan pondered briefly, realizing the trip's goal wasn't to escalate tensions but to make amends for his superior, so he drew in a steady breath and responded:

"Very well, Lord Rein, I'll pass along your message to His Highness."

Saying that, he pivoted, shot a look at Quinna, and departed swiftly.

After Buchanan left, Quinna stood alone in the front yard. Everyone assumed Rein would secure the female killer right away, but he spoke offhandedly:

"You took the Bloodline Burst Potion, didn't you?"

"No need to lie. I've dealt with this potion several times before. The vibes coming from you are faint, but they won't slip past my senses."

Rein had picked up on the potion's effects back when he faced off against Reagan and his crew inside the Dragon Valley Secret Realm.

"You..."

With her main secret revealed by Rein in just one line, Quinna stared at him, her gaze brimming with confusion and hesitation, not knowing how to react properly.

Was immediate escape the way to go?

Or lie about it and keep up the act?

Yet Rein offered no extra moment for her to decide.

He pressed on:

"Your regret didn't seem genuine, so I won't push it. You did slay my ride, Little Black, but I'll offer you a final opportunity."

"If you dodge a single strike from me, you're free to leave."

"Snap!"

In a blur, a gleam of dark silver flashed as Rein shattered Quinna's chains without effort.

"Just one strike?"

Quinna instinctively massaged her now-free wrists and gave a small smile, remarking:

"Lord Rein, those are your words. I'm aware of your Epic-level fighting power, but too much arrogance can backfire."

"Cut the chatter, start now! I don't have all day."

Rein dismissed it with a casual wave.

"You..."

Quinna's gaze sharpened, fury boiling inside her. During her time held at the Sword Holder Headquarters, she'd thought deeply about getting caught by Rein.

To her, it boiled down to underestimating the youthful Lord Rein, plus her own power falling a bit short.

Things stood differently this time, though.

A few days back, after consuming the Dragon Vein Evolution Potion, her abilities hit Epic-level.

Moments ago, she'd also downed the Bloodline Burst Potion.

In essence, her power had surged ahead, matching even top Epic-level experts. Her innate bloodline skill, 'Shadow Shifting,' had advanced to a higher stage.

"If I choose to flee, Rein won't catch me no matter what!"

She brimmed with total assurance now that Rein, despite being a Fourth Level Dawn Wizard, couldn't track her down.

"Whoosh!"

In an instant, Quinna disappeared from where she stood.

The sight stunned all onlookers nearby. Luther and Halowin traded looks, spotting the shock mirrored in each other's faces.

For neither could sense the method of Quinna's vanishing, much less pinpoint her new location.

Meanwhile, Cleya rushed forward to guard Bo He, as if protecting him, or maybe stopping him from seeing any coming gore.

However, the very next instant, Quinna's form slowly reemerged right back where she'd been, like someone popping into existence out of nowhere.
