What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company? Chapter 990: On The Way Back With The Leviathan
Previously on What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?...
We towed the Leviathan back towards the station, which involved us keeping a leash on it with a tractor beam and using both ships to pull at it.
We had to fly in a specific manner and speed since we had to account for the Leviathan’s inertia while we were pulling it along. Otherwise, its corpse would crash into us if we were to stop before our tractor beams could kill off the corpse’s momentum.
I’ve already sent a message ahead to the Chief of Security to tell him we managed to kill it, so there was no longer a need to evacuate the station.
He didn’t believe me at first and we had to show him the literal corpse of the Leviathan from multiple angles to show it was not some edited video.
He really thought we edited the video just to get ten thousand Credits from him and condemn the entire station to death...
Well... I guess I wouldn’t put it past some people who would actually try to do that... There were two Merc groups who tried just that before they were caught, after all...
We would take a while to get back to the station so I decided to start the celebration feast on the ship itself.
Everyone was gathered in the dining room, Nerissa included, of course.
And what’s a celebration without a feast, right?
I went ahead to bring out everything I could for this feast. I think after a battle like that, my girls deserved to be spoiled a little.
That’s why I was whipping out the teppan grill while Vier helped with the side dishes and stews while the girls were arranged in front of me to enjoy the show.
"I feel like you did the most things though," Amber pointed out.
Ries nodded while squirming a little in her seat, "I think Boss could have handled everything by yourself."
I shook my head quickly while I was preparing my tools, "That’s not true. If I didn’t have all of you supporting me in the fight, I would probably get myself shredded by the Leviathan before I could even get close to it. That’s why I dedicate this victory to all of you!"
Yumiko sighed, "Mistress always spoils us."
Mara smiled and gave me a look with half lidded eyes, "That’s why we spoil her back at night, don’t we?"
The girls all let out voices of agreement and I shuddered at the gaze they were giving me.
No doubt, they were going to drain me dry tonight... Not that I’m complaining of course, because I also fully intend to indulge in their bodies as well.
But for now, I concentrated on giving my girls food.
I turned my attention to the only person who looked ill at ease to be here and smiled at her reassuringly, "Relax Nerissa. You’re not on the menu."
She gulped, "Umm... I mean... Should I even be here? I didn’t do anything to deserve a seat here, did I?"
"Oh relax, I need to feed everyone so I might as well just feed you as well since you’re also here. Unless you believe I should specifically prepare additional food for you?"
She shook her head quickly, "No! No! Not at all!"
Ok, ok, calm down, I’m just kidding.
I smacked my spatulas together and started cooking, doing my usual preparation for my performance for the girls.
I made several different dishes one after the other while my girls practically inhaled every single dish that I made.
Nerissa was transfixed by my performance more than the food at first, but she was also soon inhaling the food alongside my girls as well.
Vier was also keeping up with me by churning out side dishes for the girls in between my performances.
Additionally, not only was I cooking on the grill, I also fired up the ovens and had several pizzas baking inside them. Honestly, the amount of food I was making here rivaled the amount I made back when I was cooking in the club for all the staff and my girls.
I was actually worried that I might have made too much food but... My girls polished off everything without leaving a single crumb.
Seriously... How the heck are they eating so much and yet their figures still remain the same? Is this something that everyone in this universe is able to do? Do they have some kind of implant or gene mod that gives them high metabolism or something? Because if that’s the case, the future is pretty awesome.
Then again... I was also eating roughly the same amount as well and I don’t see myself getting any bigger either.
I mean... Aside from that one time where I was dealing with the Psionic crystals which somehow made my boobs bigger for some inexplicable reason...
Hooray for future tech!
By the time the feast was concluded, I think I made enough food to feed my girls four times over.
But still, they managed to clean out every single bite of food without leaving anything behind.
"Ahhhhh... I... I think I’ve eaten... Enough for my entire lifetime..." Amber let out a sigh of content.
I chuckled, "Does that mean you don’t want to eat my cooking anymore?"
"No!!" She cried out a little too enthusiastically, which only made me chuckle more.
I leaned back in my seat, feeling quite bloated but also incredibly satisfied at the feast that I made.
Nerissa let out a delicate burp, "I... Don’t think... I’ve eaten anything else... That can compare to this..."
Vier turned to narrow her eyes at her, "You’re not trying to use that as an excuse to weasel your way into the crew, are you?"
Nerissa shuddered, "I wouldn’t dare... No offense but... I don’t think I can last long in a crew like this... I’ll take my chances with the bug infested world instead..."
What was that supposed to mean? It’s not like we go out of our way to find trouble to begin with, ok? Trouble just seems to find us somehow.
Which... Now that I’ve said it out loud... Probably means that someone like her probably wouldn’t last...
How the heck did I end up with a crew as weird as me?
No offense to them of course, but I think it’s a miracle that I managed to get a team like this somehow.
That’s already not considering the fact that I’m even weirder than they are for being someone from another universe...
Anyway... We’ve been flying for quite a while at this point so I wonder if--
"The station is in sight, Daddy~ We’re getting hailed by their Chief of Security~" Renata reported helpfully.
I pulled up my Codex and answered the ship’s hail through it, projecting a screen in front of me to show Justin, the Security Chief of the station, with a look of utter disbelief on his face.
"You... You actually did it..." He muttered, probably looking at his screen that showed us towing the corpse of the Leviathan.
"I already told you we did it, didn’t we? You really didn’t believe us even after we showed you the images?"
"I... I did not dare hope... But... I suppose I should first thank you for doing this... You... You saved everyone in this station. All of us owe you our lives."
Amber came over to wrap her arm around my shoulder, "Yeah, yeah. We’ll gladly take your gratitude with some Credits to go along with it if you don’t mind."
He hesitated, "I... I honestly want to reward you for the service you have done for us of course... But there is only so much that I am authorised to do and... The station’s overseer would definitely be against dipping into his own coffers to reward you for this..."
Vier appeared beside me, "Is that so? I suppose we should go have a good talk with him in that case..."
Justin turned to give her a sympathetic look, "I’m afraid even in his case, he won’t just meet with anyone that asks to meet him... He’s... Forgive me but... If I can speak freely, he’s quite a bit of an ass."
I rolled my eyes at him, "He abandoned the station to save himself and left everyone else to die. You can call him a fuckface that’s undeserving of his station if you want."
He gave me a smile despite himself, "You have my gratitude, Miss Tera. You and your Mercenary group. All of us owe you our lives. Even if I might lose my position, I will make sure that you at least get a reward for this. Perhaps I can arrange for the Leviathan’s corpse to be dealt with for you? I might be able to find buyers for it."
Vier shook her head, "No need. I will speak to the station’s administrator myself."
Justin turned back to her again, "My apologies... But I said he--"
"He will meet me, if he still wants to keep his head."
Justin obviously didn’t believe her but he knew better than to argue and simply thanked us again before ending the call.
Well then... Are we going to return to a hero’s welcome at least?
