Vampire's Slice Of Life Chapter 5 Too Young

Previously on Vampire's Slice Of Life...
After coming to terms with his new identity as a vampire baby, Lith snuggled with his mother and explored his new surroundings. He found comfort in the gloomy, dark environment and enjoyed a moment by a lake with his mother. Upon returning, Lith expressed a desire for his mother to be naked with him before they both slept. The next morning, he greeted his mother and sister, Lucy, and then asked Lucy to teach him magic.

“My baby, are you truly wishing to study magic at such a tender age?” Lilith questioned this time, her voice laced with obvious worry.

“Mhm. Lith learn magic. Lith strong. Lith protect Mama and big sis,” I declared, making my intentions known. Although these words felt a bit foolish and left me feeling sheepish, they clearly moved my mother and sister. Their eyes welled up with tears, and I felt my sister’s embrace tighten around me. I couldn't help but notice that while my sister’s breasts weren't as large as my mother’s, they felt just as wonderful, though they were definitely firmer than Mom's.

“My dear Lith, Mother and I are already powerful enough to protect ourselves and you. You don't need to worry so much, sweetheart,” Lucy replied, and Mother nodded her head in agreement. However, I wasn't about to surrender. I was desperate to learn magic.

“Big sis, teach Lith magic,” I insisted, dropping the excuses. I decided to take full advantage of my status as a child by being stubborn.

“It isn't that I'm unwilling to teach you, but you are simply too young. I’m not sure if you can grasp this, but I will explain why. Primarily, you do not currently possess a magic core. For every creature in this world, the core can only be awakened at the age of thirteen using the energy from a specific plant. For simplicity, we call it the core awakening root. It’s quite common and can be found anywhere, but it won't function until you turn thirteen. Those who fail to awaken their magic core with it at that age must either wait to reincarnate and try in the next life, or pay a massive price to force an awakening through various potions. Those potions have side effects, by the way. So, you could go eat one right now—they grow in our garden—but it won't work. How about this, dear? You can practice combat until you reach the age of awakening. I’ll train you personally. It’s far better than being cooped up here with Mama all day,” Lucy explained thoroughly. No sooner had she finished than Mother reached out and twisted her ear.

“Oww, oww! Mom, I was only joking!”

“You are far too young right now, my baby. Mother won't permit you to practice anything until you are at least three. It’s dangerous for you. Now, Lucy, go away and attend to your duties. I need to feed him,” Mother commanded, completely disregarding Lucy’s and my own opinions. I began to suckle at her breast again, tasting the familiar, warm liquid. Lucy departed, leaving me alone with my mother once more. She used a combination of water and air magic to clean me. I didn't feel the magic itself, but I knew she had done it because I felt instantly refreshed. After a period of nursing and playing, I looked up at her, and she smiled back at me.

“Mama, movie.” I was curious about the quality of films and the level of technology in this world, so I made the request. Mother didn't even stop to wonder where I had learned that word; I assume she figured I picked it up from that general knowledge book. She simply uttered a single name, “Hecate,” in a flat, neutral tone that was a sharp contrast to how she normally spoke to my sister and me.

Less than a second after she spoke, a woman appeared in the bedroom. She had clearly teleported, as a white runic magic circle was still fading around her. The woman appeared to be in her early thirties, much like my mother, featuring black hair and heterochromatic eyes—one red and one blue. She was beautiful, though she didn't quite reach the level of my mother or sister. It seems my standards as a former virgin are skyrocketing.

“Yes, Your Majesty?” Hecate asked, bowing slightly while keeping her eyes averted from my mother and me.

“Set up a television in my chambers. My son and I shall watch a movie,” Mother ordered in that same cold tone. I hadn't realized she could be so icy toward others. And did that woman just address my mother as "Your Majesty"? Is she a queen? Wait... I am a vampire. Vampires have a very rigid hierarchy, usually with only one King or Queen.

HOLD ON.

IS MY MOTHER THE VAMPIRE QUEEN?
