Lith, escorted by the red-haired mother-daughter duo Keith and Fanny, navigated a dangerous labyrinth, eventually reaching the entrance to the Evure God Clan's secret prison. After a swift and brutal display of their combined abilities against the guards, Keith and Fanny fulfilled their escort mission by bringing Lith to the final door. As Lith prepared to enter the prison alone, utilizing his unique bloodline to bypass security, the maids bid him a somber farewell before departing to assist in the ongoing war.

A dark, damp, narrow passage stretched endlessly in front of Lith.

The walls at the sides had human-like veins upon them. As a Vampire, Lith was sensitive to blood and could immediately make out that fresh, real blood flowed through these.

Following these veins in the narrow passage, he reached the first actual prison cell where a human prisoner was nailed to the wall.

There were multiple arrays within the prison cells and Lith recognized some of them, thanks to the teachings of Vanessa, the Supreme Rank Array Master.

One of the arrays kept the man alive while the other drained his blood. The fresh blood was collected via another array and pumped into the veins.

This whole place was filled with arrays, and there were multiple ones scanning him too. The only reason he could bypass them was due to his bloodline and being a Vampire was what he thought.

Moving on, Lith saw a few more cells in the darkness.

These cells looked like they were carved into shape, and when Lith had such an understanding, the entire place suddenly felt more eerie and creepy.

As he looked around some more, he thought,

Imagine coming from a strong Vampire bloodline who had a control over all elements yet choosing the most primitive method to build something.

To anyone it might sound dumb but to Lith, it felt strange.

Why would one go through such lengths when they could use spells and more arrays to get things done?

Arrays were a lot in number here but their function wasn’t primary.

The physical carving of this underground prison was special and Lith could feel a strange suppressing power from it.

He had one of his special abilities [Return] ready to be casted. He just had to say one word and he would leave this place.

Lith was on guard and it was better to be safe than sorry.

As he ventured further, he saw more prison cells and a small staircase at the end of the passage going downward.

There was no guard on this floor, which alerted him further.

Moving on, he took the stairs which were wide enough to let only one person walk and reached the second underground floor.

Again, this passage was similar to the one before, narrow, damp and a nightmare for claustrophobics.

One thing different from the floor before was the presence of light that came out from the cells. It wasn’t as dark anymore, but creepy nonetheless.

Walking forward, as Lith stepped into the light, a strong suppression forced him to halt.

Lith thought.

It was a bit difficult but nothing he couldn’t manage.

Turning his head to the side, the prisoners were still pinned humans. But, despite being pinned and under suppression from the light, they were twitching and writhing.

The individuals were unconscious on this floor too, and it took him a while to pass through the narrow passage.

The next few floors were similar but the passages kept getting longer.

It took Lith an hour to clear the final narrow passage and reach a descending staircase guarded by a thick metallic gate

Lith frowned.

Spears pierced through this gate, soaked in dried blood and flesh.

Placing his hands upon the gate, Lith couldn’t feel what was beyond, but felt the gate itself.

It was sturdy and made of a special material that blocked all methods of prying.

Checking the spear tips, they did not feel special.

Lith tried to push the door, and surprisingly, it budged a little.

A strong gust of wind made his hair flutter and cut through his tough skin.

Taking a deep breath, Lith pushed the door open and intruded, entering a huge space covered in a thin veil of mist.

As he took a step forward, a creaking sound resounded and the metallic door automatically shut itself, revealing corpses pinned by spears upon it.

A whistling sound resounded in Lith’s ears, making him knit his brows.

The sound came again, but this time, there was meaning behind it.

Lith thought and turned in that direction.

There was nothing one could see other than mist in the dusk-like illumination. The chamber seemed empty too.

The mist was a result of array formations and most of the time, such formations confused the enemy and made them lose their way. Illusion was mixed into such too and getting to the core to dismantle it was difficult.

Lith made a decision and heeded the voice’s direction.

Turning left and heading straight, the voice gave more instructions through the whistling sound and soon, the mist felt like disappearing.

Faint sounds of battle resounded in Lith’s ears.

Moving forward, silhouettes of people fighting were visible.

Lith summoned Neo from his Mind Sea and held him in his hand.

He took another step ahead.

The mist immediately cleared.

A strong blow came from the left.

Lith parried it and immediately tried to will the Space element to teleport.

It failed.

The Space element couldn’t be felt.

"Die!" A man shouted on Lith’s right.

Lith raised his sword and blocked it, ducking and dashing forward.

He did not see who was behind or beside. He did not bother with the attackers and ran forwards.

He was in a grassy field that stretched endlessly. The sun was shining brightly above.

In front, a sea of people were fighting.

Blood splattered and limbs scattered on the field.

No one cared for their wounds and kept fighting as if their life depended on killing the other person.

"Die! Die! Die!" A man in dark clothes slung his chains at Lith’s legs.

With a crisp crackle, the chains snapped back.

There was no flesh on them, making the man click his tongue. "Slippery fella. Let’s see how you dodge this."

The man brought out another chain and slung both at Lith.

As the two chains rushed from both sides, escape was impossible.

Lith’s expression was still calm, as if nothing would faze him.

When in dangerous circumstances such as these, he was trained to be extremely calm. The years of training with his sister, mother, aunts, and lovers resulted in this.

Along with that, conquering the trials of the calamities further gave him a lot of experience.

Holding his Destruction sword, Lith’s wings extended out from his back. He flapped them but couldn’t fly.

Lith knitted his brows and focused on the incoming chains.

At one instance, both would overlap. If he did not jump in time, he would be smashed into a grotesque mess.

Putting his all to focus on the chains, Lith saw them come at him in slow-mo.

The chains hit each other and Lith jumped up, rolling to the side to avoid them.

The man spat to the side and pulled the chains.

Lith made a run towards the man.

"Slippery fella. Let’s see how you dodge this." He clicked his tongue and pulled the chains faster.

It was too late.

With the Destruction sword in hand, Lith’s dash was much faster than his chains.

Eventually, he saw Lith run past him, and the world turned upside-down in his vision.

Moments later, everything went dark.

Lith did not bother to look back at his head rolling on the ground or his corpse falling with a thud.

He rushed to safety while avoiding any potential enemies.

While running Lith immediately realized that none of the cultivation powers worked.

He couldn’t feel his Spiritual Power or the elements and he couldn’t even fly after extending his wings.

There was probably a formation suppressing everyone to the extreme.

The whistling sound returned. This time it was telling him to move closer to the sea of people in the distance.

Lith clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Traversing past those maniacs was not going to be easy.

But he made a run towards them nonetheless.

"Enemy! Enemy!" A few of the people noticed him and ran towards him, attacking with all their might.

Most of them had missing body parts but charged at him with visible madness.

Lith parried their attacks as much as he could and ran further inside.

A strange thing happened now.

The people who attacked him initially did not chase him. Instead, they continued to attack each other.

There were newer people attacking him and if he ran further away from their group, they wouldn’t bother him.

Lith saw through the problem.

If he did not cross a group’s battle perimeter, they wouldn’t attack him. Carefully, he traversed further inside and the number of attacks lessened and eventually became zero as he skillfully learnt to avoid them.

A few minutes passed.

The individuals were decreasing.

He could see a mighty shadow of a tree in the distance as he reached the edge.

Soon, just as he was about to take the last step out of the sea of people, a swift sword strike pierced the front.

Lith took a step back and frowned, turning to the individual that attacked him.

He was in no mood to waste time on this person and tried to run out of his perimeter.

As he took a few steps away, the person attacked him again.

His attacks were more swift this time and their paths did not seem the same.

Lith had to focus on parrying as each of the paths the man’s sword took was different than the last.
