Vampire's Slice Of Life Chapter 1201: The Founder’s Restriction Seal

Positioned behind the backs of these Royal Asuras and weaving hand seals, Lith experienced a peculiar sense of oppression. This sensation was absent when he removed the seals from the non-royal Asuras. To shatter that mind control, Lith’s bloodline suppression had been sufficient. With Sylvia’s aid, a broad spatial spell enveloped the entire main world of the Asuras. Through this spell, Lith only needed to suppress individuals with his bloodline in conjunction with [Psych Puppetry], and the control would break. Lith felt no repercussions then, but the present situation was vastly different. He sensed that a single misstep could prove fatal. Killing him, however, was an almost insurmountable task. He had approached death multiple times within the dimensional gap and faced numerous calamities, yet he emerged victorious and bested many in the outer ring. This was an interesting line of thought. Lith had entered into a contract with the Asura Royals, outlining their respective demands. Yet, that contract contained no clause forbidding either party from seeking the other's demise. Without such a stipulation, his presence here was inherently risky, a fact Lith understood. Nevertheless, he willingly stepped into the trap. This was not due to foolishness, but rather because of his unique ability, [Return]. [Return] bypasses all restrictions, allowing him to return home. This ability would activate automatically if he were in grave peril, rendering him immune to assassinations and one-shot attacks. Lith moved his hands over the backs of the three Asura Royals in a fluid motion, inscribing numerous magic circles. The restrictions materialized, appearing as a deep red magic circle that enveloped Lith’s blue ones. Shortly after, having expended a portion of his spiritual power, Lith successfully rendered the entire restriction visible before him. This was a significant achievement in itself, as none but him could have accomplished it due to the dormant Asura bloodline residing within him. A magnificent magic circle appeared, ancient in appearance and emanating a faint suppression. Lith’s instincts screamed at him to cease all further action. However, an opportunity presented itself directly before him. Lith drew a deep breath and concentrated. The three Royal Asuras remained unsuspecting. The Asura Crown Prince sat calmly, contemplating within himself. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined their adversary to be so foolish. He had willingly walked into their trap and was now on the precipice of death. How wonderful it would be if all of life's challenges were this straightforward. The Crown Prince felt a surge of emotion, believing their greatest obstacle would be resolved so simply. If fate were to allow, they might even escape the founder’s restrictions. Though the likelihood of such an event was slim. The Asura Princess, under Lith's control, possessed no independent thoughts and sat placidly. Meanwhile, the Asura Queen remained composed, her mind far clearer than the Crown Prince’s. She pondered. If Lith displayed any intent to kill, the physical restraint on her would be lifted, and she would eliminate him. Should he harbor any clandestine intentions behind their backs and attempt to cast a lethal spell, the Asura Queen was confident she could detect it and kill him before the spell took effect. All in all, she was assured of her capabilities. For the moment, Lith had exhibited no suspicious behavior and was diligently at work. Through her inner sight, she observed that the founder’s restrictive spell had been brought to light. This had never occurred before, and the Asura Queen felt a degree of relief that Lith possessed some knowledge in this area. Time elapsed. An hour had passed, and Lith was drenched in sweat. The three Asuras also felt the oppressive weight of the founder’s spell. One-eighth of the seal had been lifted. While this was cause for celebration, there was neither the time nor the occasion for it. Who would have anticipated that the act of unsealing would result in the restriction further intensifying? It was as if the seal possessed sentience, aware that someone was attempting to break it. Through the seal, Lith suddenly grasped a realization. Even if he were to dismantle the restriction, a negative outcome was almost certain. He would be implicated, but the Asuras would not escape unscathed either. A dagger seemed to inch closer to Lith’s throat with every movement. The three Asuras could sense it as well, particularly the Queen, who was more attuned due to her elder generation status and her more potent bloodline. The Asura Queen felt a cold sweat trickle down her back but did not halt Lith’s actions. While danger was present, there was also a sense of lightness. She did not believe she would die, only sustain significant injuries. The magic circle before them resembled an entangled knot of threads; the more he untangled, the tighter the remaining mess became. After an entire night, Lith took an hour-long break when the restriction was merely halved. His spiritual power was nearly depleted, and he had to consume pills to replenish it. The Asuras were also sweating profusely under the immense pressure, feeling as though someone was constantly hammering their heads. The splitting headache was becoming unbearable.
As Lith pondered, he realized that despite his bloodline's superiority over the Asuras, it fell short of the founder's power, a fact starkly evident in the magic circle before him.
Lilith's ascension had augmented her strength, yet due to unforeseen circumstances, a vital ritual that would further empower Lith and Lucy's bloodline remained incomplete.
Considering the present predicament, Lith faced a choice: either achieve a breakthrough to Supreme Rank or…
Taking a steadying breath, Lith's eyes ignited with determination as he initiated a new sequence of hand seals.
Intricate layers of azure magic circles materialized, successively enveloping the crimson founder's restriction circle until, at last, Lith unleashed a violet magic circle.
The Asura Queen's pupils constricted as she perceived her imminent demise.
"NO—"
A powerful explosion sent Lith hurtling backward, while the bodies of the three Asura Royals disintegrated, sealing their doom.
The blood-hued magic circle pulsed with intense light in mid-air, spinning furiously as the dark magic circle writhed within its confines.
Lith commenced coughing violently, his hand quivering as he retrieved a healing pill from his spatial ring. He struggled to consume it, his gaze fixed unerringly on the founder's restriction circle.
Lith mused as the healing pill made its way down.
Within the founder's restriction spell, Lith detected an unoccupied segment. He was uncertain of its purpose but instinctively felt it was attempting to siphon his blood essence.
Initially, he recoiled from it, but then he sensed it could trigger a chain reaction potentially detrimental to the current Asuras.
With no alternative, he first disrupted the remaining chains of the reaction that the empty slot might have initiated and then infused it with the very blood essence it craved.
The consequence of this action was…
The blood and flesh of the Royal Asuras rained down, amalgamating upon the gyrating magic circle.
A shadowy visage ascended from the founder's restriction circle, merging with the mangled remains and coalescing into the form of a middle-aged man.
As his body reached partial formation, the middle-aged man's eyes snapped open. After a few moments, a frown creased his brow as he surveyed his surroundings.
The magic circle had ceased its rotation.
A silver-haired man leaned against the wall, observing him with an impassive stare.
Casting his gaze downward, he flexed his hand, confirming its newfound physicality and absolute reality.
He shifted his attention back to the silver-haired man.
"Did you orchestrate this?"
Lith felt an immense pressure bear down upon him, akin to being crushed beneath a colossal boulder.
Nevertheless, it paled in comparison to the oppressive aura his mother typically emanated.
Maintaining his detached demeanor, he articulated, "Would you not offer an explanation first, Asura Ancestor?"
