Vampire's Slice Of Life Chapter 1198: Negotiations (2)

Hearing the Asura Princess's words, Lith found himself caught in a bind.
This bind came from the absence of those he desired to slay. He craved their agonized cries and desperate pleas for mercy, yet such a scene remained impossible because none carried ties to his grandfather's karma.
Mentioning karma, ancient sigils swirled in Lith's eyes. The purple hue shifted to a profound crimson, and through his gaze, only shadowy outlines of people nearby plus countless threads appeared.
Threads in abundance stretched everywhere, some intertwining with those emerging from his form, others drifting aimlessly.
Observing the threads from Sylvia, Lith noted their vibrant pink glow as they streamed toward him, coiling snugly around his body.
Sylvia's threads behaved identically to Fei’s.
For Roy, a green thread extended from Lith and coiled around him like a stealthy serpent. This revealed Roy's fate lay entirely under Lith's command.
Gazing at the Asura Princess, Lith detected no threads from her reaching him. No shared destiny or linked karma existed between them.
Dismissing his skill 'Destiny Seer', Lith let out another sigh.
Lith struggled to pinpoint where to unleash his fury and pondered deeply on the matter.
Moments later, he straightened up and fixed his stare on the Asura Princess.
"Quite bold of you to seek help from an enemy."
The Asura Princess gave a bitter smile. "What other choice do we have?"
Lith lifted his teacup and remarked while eyeing the steaming tea, "Do you believe I'd assist you merely due to your tragic history? Do I seem like a saint?"
The Asura Princess shook her head. "Of course not. Should you decide to aid us, we're prepared to surrender all that the Asura God Clan holds."
Lith sipped his tea. "What gives you the idea I couldn't seize it myself?"
The Asura Princess smiled. "The Asura treasures can only be unlocked by the current King and Queen. Slay us, and they'll remain beyond your grasp. Kindly weigh this option."
Finally, the Princess gained some advantage in their exchange.
From the beginning, achieving this proved immensely challenging for her. Yet now, Lith displayed hints of yielding.
How could he resist when the Princess dangled the whole Asura God Clan before him on a silver tray? He merely needed to carve into it and savor the rich fats and juices.
The Asura Princess realized they stood no chance against Lith. Despite their potential for prolonged resistance, ultimate defeat loomed inevitable.
While they hid a few aces, Lith undoubtedly possessed his own.
Via these negotiations, the Asura Princess aimed to limit the fallout. Even if their clan crumbled, curse removal would grant them ordinary lives.
From there, intense cultivation could lead to ascension and reunion with the main clan.
United with the main clan, Lith would face inescapable doom.
Death awaited him upon reaching the Upper Realm.
Such was the profound cunning of Asura royalty.
They ignored the now, scheming far ahead to claim triumph.
Present loss might occur, but the future stayed unpredictable.
All treasures and perks yielded to Lith—they vowed to reclaim later!
The Asura Princess mused.Watching Lith remain quiet and calmly drink tea, she figured her display of true gains fell short.
The Asura Princess offered a wry smile and pressed on, "Your Highness, the Asuras shall be yours. Your quest for ancestral vengeance will succeed as you seize full command. We're not demanding much beyond preserving a successor—meaning us royals offer even our lives. Simply lift our curse and allow us a successor. That's our sole plea. Please think it over."
Desperation crept into the Asura Princess.
As he drank tea, Lith's eyelids lifted gradually, his piercing gaze landing on the Princess.
He set down the teacup, rose, and stretched lazily.
These moves baffled the Asura Princess, though she held her tongue and observed.
Lith's arms dropped to Sylvia's waist after stretching. He drew the Witch into an embrace and grinned, "Sylvia, my dear, how long since our last intimate moment?"
The abrupt query brought a faint blush to Sylvia's typically impassive features.
Even Fei nearby flushed and pondered,
Roy on the opposite side felt utterly stunned too.
The Asura Princess matched their reactions, furrowing her brow.
Lith tilted toward Sylvia and planted a kiss on her temple. "Didn't you whine about missing our close times? I'll finish up fast and return to you."
Fei and Sylvia shared the same thought inwardly without voicing it.
The Asura Princess and Roy felt utterly perplexed by Lith's behavior.
Soon, however, the Asura Princess reflected,
Her inner musings never surfaced; she maintained composure.
Lith approached her chair with a faint smile.
Positioning himself behind, he bent close, nearly brushing his cheek against hers.
"The full Asura God Clan minus a successor... all mine... Must admit, you've laid out a lavish banquet for my pleasure."
The Asura Princess nodded softly. "Indeed, Your Highness. If that's insufficient... you could..."
She paused briefly, bit her lip, then added, "...even claim me as concubine once the curse lifts."
Lith laughed lightly and caressed her chin, guiding her face toward his.
Gently squeezing her cheeks to form an 'o' with her lips, Lith stated, "Know this: vampires sense human emotions keenly. They're extra attuned to virgins' feelings. I detect your unwillingness to become my concubine..."
The Asura Princess nearly scowled. Lith spouted utter rubbish now. Despite her superior strength, how could he...
Suddenly, realization struck the Asura Princess, flooding her with terror.
Lith's grin stretched wider from ear to ear.
"You've played the vulnerable maiden, yet your emotions stay steady, like all's in hand. Thought I wouldn't notice?"
Terror intensified, causing the Asura Princess to shiver.
With his eerie smile intact, Lith gripped her face firmer and went on, "But that's not your true blunder. Your initial error was believing..."
Lith applied more force, drawing a grunt from the Asura Princess and nearly coaxing a tear.
"...believing this amounted to a negotiation."
