Xu Wendong and Lin Yiren successfully purchased a gemstone shop after negotiating a reasonable price with the owner. They decided to renovate it slightly, with Xu Wendong planning to create a new signboard himself. Afterward, they headed to a car dealership to buy a fuel-powered car for commuting.

Xu Wendong’s brow furrowed slightly, a trace of displeasure surfacing as his gaze turned stern. He responded with a cold tone, "Are we not here to look at cars? Is there a reason this showroom wouldn't welcome customers?"

Lin Yiren’s face also showed clear discontent, and she was secretly astonished. She hadn’t imagined that in today’s society, which championed equality and inclusivity, some people would still judge others so superficially based on their appearance.

The sales personnel, however, showed no sign of caring. He rolled his eyes in annoyance and said with impatience, "Fine, fine, I’ll take you to see the cars then." With that, he led them directly to a section displaying ordinary family cars.

He then proceeded to introduce the basic specifications and performance metrics of the vehicles in a mechanical, perfunctory manner. His words tumbled out rapidly, devoid of any genuine enthusiasm, as if he were merely completing a mandated task.

All the while, his eyes would periodically flick towards other well-dressed patrons in the showroom, his expression seeming to declare, "People like you are only fit for these inexpensive models. Don't even think about touching the luxury vehicles."

Observing this, Lin Yiren couldn't help but frown. She softly remarked to Xu Wendong, "I feel like he doesn’t take us seriously. Does he think we can’t afford a good car?"

Xu Wendong’s lips curved into a subtle smile as he gently patted Lin Yiren’s hand, reassuring her and asking her to remain calm.

Turning to the sales personnel, he stated in a calm yet firm voice, "These vehicles don't quite meet my requirements. Do you have any higher-end models available, perhaps luxury-brand sedans?"

Upon hearing this, the sales personnel reacted as if he had heard the most ludicrous joke. A grin split his face, revealing a mouthful of uneven, yellowish teeth, and he erupted into a sharp, piercing laugh. "Luxury-brand sedans? Do you have any idea of the cost? Those luxury cars aren't something people like you can just inquire about casually."

"I suggest you focus on these cost-effective family cars and stop wasting my time. I don't have the leisure to entertain you."

A surge of anger unexpectedly ignited within Xu Wendong, like fierce flames burning in his chest. Yet, with considerable self-control, he suppressed it, merely stating flatly, "You don't need to concern yourself with whether we can afford them; just introduce them. That is your job."

The sales personnel puckered his lips impatiently, muttering, "So ignorant of the world, overestimating their own abilities."

Nevertheless, under Xu Wendong’s continued insistence, he grudgingly escorted them to the luxury sedan display area.

Arriving at a Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan, he pointed a finger, jabbing it against the car's body in a decidedly rude gesture. "This Mercedes-Benz S-Class is one of our top sellers, boasting rich features and exceptional comfort. However, the price is quite substantial, exceeding a million yuan even for the base model."

He emphasized the phrase "over a million," each syllable seemingly designed to highlight the exorbitant cost. He then cast a provocative glance at Xu Wendong, his expression clearly mocking, "You? It’s laughable to think you can afford this! Just look at yourself."

Xu Wendong simply nodded slightly, his expression placid. He slowly circled the vehicle, inspecting it carefully, and remarked, "Yes, this car is not bad."

He then added, "However, I would like to see other brands as well."

The sales personnel felt an even greater wave of disdain for Xu Wendong, convinced he was merely putting on an act, unable to afford anything, and desperately trying to save face.

Consequently, he once again led Xu Wendong and Lin Yiren to a BMW 7 Series sedan, continuing his lukewarm introduction. Occasionally, he interspersed his talk with sharp, sardonic remarks, "Let me tell you, this BMW 7 Series isn't cheap either. You two could work your entire lives and still likely not afford it. Stop harboring such foolish dreams and face reality sooner."

Just then, a sudden stir arose within the showroom.

It turned out to be a middle-aged man, clad in designer suits and sporting a thick gold chain, who swaggered in, accompanied by a throng of sales personnel.

The man's face was fleshy, his eyes arrogant and ostentatious. He boomed loudly at the sales staff, "Introduce me to the best cars in your store. I'm in a good mood today and plan to purchase a few luxury vehicles. Money is no object."

The sales personnel who had previously been serving Xu Wendong and Lin Yiren abruptly shifted their attention, leaving them as if they were discarded scraps. They swarmed towards the middle-aged man, their faces plastered with fawning smiles, repeatedly exclaiming, "President Wang, you've arrived! Right this way, sir. We've just received a limited edition Rolls-Royce Shadow, and I believe it would be perfectly suited for your discerning taste."

Witnessing this drastic change in attitude, Lin Yiren became incensed, her delicate features flushing crimson as she exclaimed, "Wendong, just look at how they're behaving! It's absolutely outrageous and so snobbish!"

Xu Wendong let out a soft chuckle, responding nonchalantly, "A vast forest contains all manner of birds; people like that are unfortunately common in society. There's no need to lower yourself to their level and invite unnecessary trouble."

With that, his gaze swept across the showroom and landed on a young female sales associate standing hesitantly nearby. He beckoned her over.

"May I assist you with something?" the young woman inquired, approaching with a touch of timidity. Her name tag clearly read Huang Xiaoxian.

From her fresh, youthful countenance and slightly anxious bearing, it was evident she was relatively new to the profession.

Xu Wendong offered a gentle smile, gesturing towards the two luxurious vehicles parked behind him. "I intend to purchase this Mercedes-Benz S-Class and that BMW 7 Series. I'll be paying by card immediately. Could you assist me with the necessary procedures?"

Huang Xiaoxian's eyes widened, her gaze fixed on Xu Wendong with palpable disbelief. She had clearly not anticipated that this young man would so casually spend millions on two high-end executive sedans in a single transaction.

The sudden turn of events felt almost dreamlike, like a windfall from the heavens, leaving her momentarily flustered and unsure how to proceed.

Taking a deep breath to compose herself, she tentatively asked, "Sir, are you absolutely certain you wish to acquire both of these vehicles?"

Lin Yiren, with a radiant smile, produced a bank card and declared, "Go ahead and charge it!"

It was only at this precise moment.

Huang Xiaoxian became convinced of their genuine intent and capability to purchase. Her excitement surging, she reached out with both hands to accept the bank card. "I shall escort you both to the VIP lounge to relax while I handle all the paperwork for you!"

Just then, a young male sales associate rushed forward, smoothly intercepting the bank card from Huang Xiaoxian's grasp with a smarmy grin. "Allow me to manage the formalities for our esteemed guests instead!"

Lin Yiren let out a light, amused chuckle, a playful smirk gracing her lips as she retorted, "Weren't you just looking down on us a moment ago?"
