Chen Xuan returns and helps Liu Sheng recover, then confides in his wives, Lan Meng'Er and Gu Pengyou. They reveal the Fourth Prince Qin Hong invited them, but the invitation was refused. The next morning, Zhan Tian arrives to escort Xiaoqi away for training, much to Chen Xuan's and Lan Meng'Er's dismay. Meanwhile, news of Great Yu's recovery and Zhan Tian's prowess reaches Zhou, who remains unfazed.

Yuan Qing turned his gaze toward Zhou.

"He proceeded to the Blood Cry Realm."

Zhou, of course, was aware of this; it had been discussed previously. A contingent remained in Yong’an Prefecture, but the majority had ventured into the Blood Cry Realm. Once the Nine Heavens Star River Array was breached, the three races would form an alliance to completely annihilate the Great Yu forces guarding the Blood Cry Realm, the most perilous location.

This action would undoubtedly inflict a severe blow upon Great Yu.

However, upon hearing this from Yuan Qing, a multitude of questions arose, "Great Yu maintained heavy troops and numerous masters in the Blood Cry Realm; how was it possible for the two races to infiltrate?"

Zhou merely offered a slight smile before indicating himself, "Naturally, I facilitated it!"

"Do you imagine Shadow's excursion this time was without purpose?"

Having dedicated so many years to the Rule of Space, Zhou found that while opening a spatial channel was arduous, it was nonetheless achievable.

"My Lord... you..."

Yuan Qing's expression was complex, never having anticipated that Zhou was the orchestrator. Yet, aiding the alien races in this manner would ultimately spell disaster for the Human Race.

"Enough, depart!"

Zhou understood his unspoken concerns and did not fault him for his apprehension. Zhou had his own justifications, which could not be divulged at present.

"Yes!"

Yuan Qing suppressed the burgeoning anxiety within his heart and exited the rustic hut.

"Alas!"

Standing outside, gazing upon Tangyun Lake, he let out an internal sigh, his sense of unease intensifying as he ascended into the air and departed.

A short while later, he arrived at Hong Zhisha’s dwelling.

"Elder Brother Yuan Qing, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit today?"

Hong Zhisha, who had been in the midst of cultivation, promptly rose from his seat. The avatar beside him also stood swiftly, offering a respectful bow, "Greetings, Lord Yuan Qing!"

"No need for such formalities."

Yuan Qing gestured dismissively.

"What troubles you?"

Observing his somewhat somber demeanor, Hong Zhisha inquired further.

"A drink!"

At this moment, all Yuan Qing desired was to consume alcohol, to become inebriated and momentarily cast aside the burdens weighing on his heart.

Hong Zhisha was momentarily surprised but quickly recovered, instructing the avatar, "Go fetch the finest wine in the cellar, and prepare some suitable accompaniments for our drinks."

"Understood, Uncle!"

The avatar acknowledged the command and promptly departed.

Since arriving at Tangyun Lake, the avatar had been responsible for Hong Zhisha’s meals, and his culinary skills were more than satisfactory; Hong Zhisha was thoroughly pleased.

For this very reason, a small kitchen had even been erected adjacent to the straw hut.

Half an hour elapsed!

The avatar had meticulously prepared everything and, naturally, did not leave but instead attended to the needs of the two individuals.

"Cheers!"

Yuan Qing downed a substantial bowl of potent wine in a single gulp.

"Hiss... Ho..."

Exhaling a breath laced with the scent of alcohol, feeling the fiery warmth spreading within, the suppressed emotions within his heart began to find some release.

Witnessing this, the avatar promptly refilled his bowl.

Another generous serving!

At this juncture, his complexion began to exhibit a faint flush, recognizing this as the most potent brew, aged by Hong Zhisha for several centuries. This was precisely why, even after just two bowls, Yuan Qing, possessing eightfold strength, found his face reddening.

As the avatar extended the bowl for a third refill, Yuan Qing reached for it, poised to drink, but was intercepted by Hong Zhisha, "Elder Brother Yuan Qing, has something transpired?"

Yuan Qing slowly inclined his gaze, meeting Hong Zhisha's eyes.

"Ho—"

He let out a prolonged exhalation, "The majority of the forces from the two allied races in Yong’an Prefecture have infiltrated the Blood Cry Realm!"

"Impossible!"

Hong Zhisha's initial reaction was one of absolute disbelief. The entrance to the Blood Cry Realm was heavily fortified by Great Yu, with numerous experts stationed there; there was no conceivable way for the two races to gain entry.

However, upon observing Yuan Qing's earnest expression, a sudden realization dawned upon him.

"It's..."

"Correct!"

Yuan Qing interjected, preventing Hong Zhisha from completing his sentence.

The avatar positioned nearby, upon overhearing this critical news, experienced a distinct jolt.

"The allied forces have advanced into the Blood Cry Realm!"

"Over there, Great Yu... they cannot possibly hold out!"

"This intelligence must be conveyed to Elder Brother immediately!"

Furthermore, not long prior, Hong Zhisha had inadvertently let slip that Hidden Kill had dispatched an Array Master, collaborating with the Tree-man Race to dismantle the Nine Heavens Star River Array.

When these two events converged!

Great Yu's defeat was all but assured!

However, within Tangyun Lake, there was no apparent means of transmitting such a message.

"What shall we do?!"

At this critical juncture, Hong Zhisha directed his attention to the avatar, "You should depart now."

It was evident that the subsequent discussion was not intended for him to overhear.

"Yes, Uncle!"

The avatar exhibited no outward sign of surprise and dutifully withdrew, positioning himself as a sentinel outside the entrance of the straw hut.

Within the confines of the hut!

Yuan Qing and Hong Zhisha severed all external communication channels, engaging in a candid conversation.

Only as the night grew deep!

Did Yuan Qing, thoroughly intoxicated, emerge from the hut.

Upon the avatar’s return to the humble hut, Hong Zhisha was discovered sitting there, his demeanor grim, clearly burdened by some unspoken thought.

"Uncle..." the avatar murmured softly.

"Ah... Hmm!" Hong Zhisha’s gaze lifted, meeting the avatar’s, and after a brief pause, he slowly rose. "It is time for your uncle to rest; you handle the tidying up." With those words, he retreated directly into the inner chambers.

Observing the disarray upon the table, the avatar stooped to clear it, meanwhile wrestling with the dilemma of how to convey crucial information to Chen Xuan.

...

The entryway to the Blood Cry Realm!

In contrast to other perilous locales, the Great Yu dynasty merely needed to maintain control over the conduit leading to the Blood Cry Realm.

Shadow, along with several members of Hidden Kill, had infiltrated the Great Yu’s garrison for many days.

At this precise juncture, they were congregated within a tent situated a considerable distance from the passageway.

"Elder Ji, how progresses the research into the Array?" Shadow inquired, directing his attention to the white-haired elder seated opposite him. This elder, a late-stage eighth-level cultivator, was currently masking his true power, appearing as an ordinary cultivator.

"With the Array diagram provided by Lord Zhou, it should require approximately another half a month!" Elder Ji responded. "However, the vigilant oversight by Great Yu’s National Preceptor prevents us from making any overt moves, thus stretching the timeline considerably."

The Nine Heavens Star River Array is exceptionally intricate. Despite his status as a premier Array Master, and with two assistants aiding him, the completion of this complex formation still demands a substantial allocation of time.
