Actually, they had slowly lost track of Shi Yu’s original purpose for calling this gathering.
The ruler of the universe…
The Beastmaster actually opposed Shi Yu taking on the role of universe holder. Back then, wouldn’t the fate of every creature in the universe fall solely under Shi Yu’s control? Even it would have to obey Shi Yu.
Yet now… the Beastmaster realized that whether Shi Yu became the universe holder or not didn’t seem all that significant.
The bull cosmic overlord served as a perfect illustration. No matter how powerful the Beastmaster was, could it surpass a cosmic overlord?
Though it might prove challenging for Shi Yu to utterly eliminate the cosmic overlord, severely wounding and confining Cypos would surely be straightforward.
The World King and the Worm Queen were utterly dumbfounded.
On the matter of Shi Yu ascending to universe holder, the World King maintained a neutral stance. Should the universe truly face peril and Shi Yu choose to shoulder this burden to protect it, gratitude would be owed to him.
As for the Worm Queen, it discarded all other notions right then. It simply wished for Shi Yu and his companions to honor their agreement, and hoped Buggy would continue recognizing it as its godmother…

The cosmic overlord’s secretary arrived remarkably swiftly. After all, she alone possessed the authority to activate the overlord’s battleship, powered by cosmic treasures.
Upon trailing the cosmic overlord to the Milky Way, Katney detected numerous cosmic presences right away. Upon reaching the precise spot, she beheld her superior adrift in the cosmos like a battered bovine.
She froze on the spot, her eyes wide in disbelief.
“You’ve even brought your secretary along.” Observing the cosmic overlord’s secretary’s arrival, Shi Yu remarked, “However, I’ll handle the recovery.”
“Eleven.”
“Wuu.” Following Shi Yu’s command, Eleven nodded promptly and reshaped the chaotic power into a spherical mass. This pinnacle force could effortlessly generate restorative effects. Eleven directed its palm toward the drifting cosmic overlord, unleashing the spherical surge instantly.
The very next instant, the cosmic overlord spewed forth another gush of blood. Its eyes slowly regained their sharp luster. Yet, as consciousness returned, the cosmic overlord still sensed profound damage.
A wound to the spirit.
“I lost??” Cypos hadn’t yet fully regained its bearings. It hauled its ravaged form and stared bewilderingly at the World King and the rest.
The World King and others gazed back at Cypos, inwardly concluding that the beating had addled its mind…
“You’ve conceded.” Standing right next to Cypos, Shi Yu grinned and stated, “So, what do you think of my power now? Not bad, huh?”
The cosmic overlord surveyed its shattered physique, then shifted its view to Shi Yu and Eleven ahead. Its jaws dropped.
“Impossible, absolutely impossible.”
It was supposed to be invincible, yet it got taken down in a flash.
The cosmic overlord declared its refusal to believe it.
“Ahhh!!!” It thrashed its own body furiously, startling Shi Yu, the World King, and the others. Next, the cosmic overlord’s eyes reddened as it heaved for breath. “It’s real, but how can this be?”
With crimson eyes, it stared at Shi Yu and his group. It had anticipated defeat someday down the line, but not one so utterly devoid of resistance. Suddenly, the cosmic overlord found itself clueless on how to even bridge the gap with Shi Yu.
Reflecting on the past, it had once sought to cultivate a formidable human, ideally surpassing itself, to quench its thirst for combat. But with this figure emerging suddenly, Cypos saw no path to triumph.
Cypos believed it stood no chance against Shi Yu in a solo confrontation.
“Wu wu wu! (Rematch one-on-one next time!)” Yet in that instant, Eleven gestured toward the cosmic overlord and exclaimed.
The cosmic overlord, Cypos, fell quiet for an extended period. It at last comprehended why, in the prophetic vision, it was the one eagerly clashing with this panda.
With allies involved, victory lacked any thrill. Indeed, clashes between equals offered far greater excitement and fulfillment!
“I concede. I’ll fulfill every pledge I made,” the cosmic overlord Cypos declared while eyeing Shi Yu.
Exhaustion weighed on it. It glanced at its battleship and departed in solitude, resembling a youth bereft of aspirations.
Within the battleship.
Spotting her superior’s return, Katney yearned to inquire, yet hesitated, fearing she’d provoke the evidently unsettled cosmic overlord.
“Katney.”
“My Lord, I’m present.”
“I’ll enter slumber to compose myself. It could last a decade, a century, or even millennia.”
“Should any crisis arise, rouse me.”
“Moreover, under the banner of the cosmic overlord’s forces, proclaim across the universe that I’ve been bested by Shi Yu. Starting now, I relinquish the cosmic overlord title… until I reclaim it.”
Katney’s mouth gaped in astonishment.

With the cosmic overlord’s departure, the cosmic assembly neared its conclusion. The World King and companions affirmed they’d heed Shi Yu’s lead and took their leave temporarily, avoiding further topics beyond the gathering.
“This unfolded far more seamlessly than expected,” Shi Yu uttered in astonishment while positioned amid the stars.
The pets at his side had twitching expressions. How could it not, with over a dozen cosmic-tier beasts overwhelming them? Why not swap in Teacher Cat for a trial?
Now, as the cosmic figures departed, Teacher Cat and the rest approached.
“Meow, meow, meow…” Teacher Ying expelled three gem cat national essences and soared closer, her tone laced with incredulity.
“Shi Yu, what happened? Was that Buggy’s illusion earlier? You’re filming a hoax to frighten folks, aren’t you?”
Buggy did possess such a skill. Truth be told, relative to the recent events, a Buggy mischief seemed far more believable.
