Unparalleled After Ten Consecutive Draws Chapter 5: Li Yao Offers Her Humble Apology, As He Wishes

Previously on Unparalleled After Ten Consecutive Draws...
Chu Kuangren studied his new techniques and items, including the Heavenly Crepe-myrtle Sword Art and the Human Mountain Stamp. He then fused the Spirit Gathering Array with his palace, greatly increasing the spiritual qi concentration. Finally, he summoned a Legendary grade Winged Human Soldier, a beautiful woman with a Holy Radiant Physique, and named her Lan Yu.

Towering Heaven Daoist Palace.

Standing outside Chu Kuangren’s private quarters, Lil Bing clutched a bundle of women's attire.

She felt utterly bewildered.

What reason could the Young Master possibly have for requesting female clothing out of the blue?

Since it was a complete outfit, she wondered if he harbored some peculiar secret obsession.

“Young Master, I have delivered the garments.”

Lil Bing gave the door a light knock. It creaked open, but to her shock, she discovered another woman already inside Chu Kuangren’s room.

She was a woman of breathtaking grace.

Such beauty was enough to make anyone feel inadequate. Even Lil Bing could not help but feel a pang of inferiority as she gazed upon her.

But wait.

Why did this stunning woman appear to possess a set of wings?

“I appreciate your help.” Chu Kuangren accepted the clothes before turning to Lan Yu, who stood behind him. “Use these for now.”

Lan Yu took them from his hands. “As you wish.”

Suddenly, a flash of brilliant white light erupted, and the armor covering Lan Yu’s form vanished instantly.

A radiant, flawless body of infinite beauty was suddenly revealed to both Chu Kuangren and Lil Bing. Her skin was so snowy and bright it nearly made their vision swim.

Chu Kuangren felt as though a nosebleed was imminent, while Lil Bing stood frozen nearby, her jaw dropping in shock.

‘G-good heavens!’

Was this woman truly so uninhibited?

Lan Yu, however, remained completely unbothered. She calmly dressed herself in front of the pair with a neutral expression, showing no concern for her lack of privacy.

In her mind, Chu Kuangren was her creator; therefore, everything she was belonged to him. Naturally, that included her physical form.

“Uh, finish getting dressed first.”

Chu Kuangren hurriedly shut the door and stepped outside to wait.

Phew... that was far too intense.

Although he knew Lan Yu would never refuse him if he made a move, Chu Kuangren’s mind hadn't turned toward such matters yet.

Aside from those practicing specific Cultivation techniques, most practitioners maintained their Nascent Yang physiques during the early stages. This allowed them to push their Cultivation to higher levels more effectively.

This was also why he had originally refused the idea of being kept by a mistress.

“Young Master, who is that young lady?”

Lil Bing’s head was spinning with questions.

She had only been gone for a few minutes, so where did this new person come from?

Furthermore, she was an extraordinary beauty. If someone of her caliber were a disciple of the Black Heaven Sect, her fame would have spread long ago.

“She is my personal attendant; there is no need to pry further.”

“I understand.”

Lil Bing nodded submissively.

Chu Kuangren gave a satisfied nod. Several maids had been sent to serve him, but he had dismissed the others, keeping only Lil Bing.

He had chosen her precisely because she was obedient and followed instructions without fuss.

She knew better than to ask forbidden questions.

After a short while.

The bedroom door swung open.

Lan Yu stepped out, and even Lil Bing felt her heart skip a beat at the sight of her. Despite being a woman herself, she was struck by the other's presence.

She was absolutely magnificent.

The traditional Chinese skirt, a blend of blue and white, highlighted Lan Yu’s alluring figure. Her long, silver tresses were gathered simply at the back of her head.

Her complexion was as smooth as jade, and her eyebrows were like delicate feathers. Most captivating of all were her pale blue eyes; they were clear, brilliant, and seemed to contain the light of the stars.

Standing there, Lan Yu looked elegant and poised, resembling a holy and pure fairy.

“You look truly beautiful, Miss,” Lil Bing offered a heartfelt praise.

Chu Kuangren also nodded in approval.

“Very good. But what happened to your wings?”

He saw that Lan Yu’s wings were no longer visible.

“Since the Young Master prefers I don't draw unnecessary attention, I have hidden them. However, you may see them whenever you wish, Young Master.”

As Lan Yu spoke, the wings manifested once more from between her shoulder blades.

“That is quite a useful trick. Very well, hide them again.”

“Yes, Young Master.”

Lil Bing watched with amazement, clicking her tongue in wonder.

She never imagined the young lady possessed such a unique ability.

Over the following days, Chu Kuangren dedicated himself entirely to Cultivation within the Daoist Palace.

During this time, the quality of his daily gacha draws began to plummet. He wondered if he had offended some deity, as he only pulled Iron-grade items. He tossed every single one of them into his Yin and Yang Ring without a second thought.

Inside the Towering Heaven Daoist Palace.

Chu Kuangren sat cross-legged upon his bed. Spirals of sharp purple light, carrying a terrifyingly keen aura, flowed across his skin.

This was the manifestation of sword Qi from his practice of the Heavenly Crepe-myrtle Sword Art!

This particular technique consisted of nine distinct stages.

Each stage corresponded to one of the nine cultivation realms, reaching all the way to the Sage Manifestation Realm.

In just two days, Chu Kuangren had already mastered the technique to the peak of the second stage. This placed him at the pinnacle of the Foundation Establishment Realm, only a hair’s breadth away from the Golden Core realm.

It was important to remember that he had only been at the Qi Refinement Realm prior to this.

He had bypassed an entire major realm and several minor stages in a mere forty-eight hours.

If word of such a Cultivation speed ever got out, it would likely shock the world to its core.

While his Supreme Daoist Physique played a major role, the benefits of the Spirit Gathering Array and the resources provided by the Black Heaven Sect were also vital factors.

“At this rate, I should hit the Golden Core Realm in under ten days. That is the level where most True Disciples reside,” Chu Kuangren mused.

Just then, the communication compass at his waist began to buzz.

“Young Master, True Disciple Li Yao has arrived to see you.”

Lil Bing’s voice echoed from the device.

“Oh? Li Yao?”

Chu Kuangren’s brows twitched slightly.

He knew that name well; she was the True Disciple who had once intended to turn the previous owner of his body into her personal "pretty boy" companion.

“Let us go and see what she wants.”

......

Outside the Towering Heaven Palace.

A crowd of disciples had gathered around a woman in lavish robes who was carrying a heavy bundle of thorns on her back.

“Look over there! That’s True Disciple Li Yao. She’s performing a 'carrying brambles to beg for punishment' ritual. Wow, what went down between her and Chu Kuangren?”

“You haven't heard?”

“Li Yao is notoriously flirtatious and keeps a harem of handsome men in her palace. She once had her eye on Chu Kuangren, but he turned her down. In a fit of petty rage, she beat him so badly he was nearly crippled.”

“So that’s the story. How the tables have turned. Who could have guessed Chu Kuangren would awaken a Supreme Daoist Physique? Li Yao must be terrified, coming here to offer such a humble apology. She really swallowed her pride for this.”

“Someone is coming...”

Chu Kuangren emerged slowly from the Towering Heaven Daoist Palace, exuding a refined air. He was clad in a white, wide-sleeved robe embroidered with a qilin, topped with a jade headpiece.

His appearance immediately captivated the entire audience.

“H-he’s so handsome!”

“Is it even possible for someone to be that good-looking?”

“Is that the new Lead Martial Brother?”

“My heart... I think I’ve fallen for him.”

Li Yao, who was currently humbling herself, looked up and caught sight of Chu Kuangren. Deep down, she had originally harbored a bit of resentment toward him.

She felt forced to apologize only because he had suddenly awakened a Supreme Daoist Physique. She knew that if she didn't make amends, her future prospects would be grim.

However, the moment she saw him, her resentment vanished. She was completely mesmerized by his looks.

‘He was attractive before, but as the Lead Martial Brother, he looks even more incredible. Heavens, I can’t help myself.’

Li Yao stared at him in a daze of infatuation.

She even forgot the stinging pain of the thorns on her back.

As Chu Kuangren walked out, he saw Li Yao at the bottom of the stairs. He felt a bit confused seeing her carrying thorns and begging for forgiveness.

“Li Yao has wronged you, Martial Brother, and I have come to offer my deepest apologies.”

Li Yao knelt immediately. Holding a long whip up in both hands, she said earnestly, “Whether you wish to take my life or lash my flesh as punishment, I will accept it without complaint, Martial Brother!”

Chu Kuangren was internally stunned.

What was happening?

According to the usual tropes, wasn't he supposed to be the one seeking revenge? Shouldn't he have to train tirelessly to eventually defeat Li Yao and grind her into the dirt?

Why was the antagonist coming to find trouble for herself instead?
