Unlimited Power - The Arcane Path 749 Chapter 745

"Interesting. The price you all paid was quite significant, yet each of you acquired rather captivating and potent energy. It is only natural, I suppose. Even though it has lost its inherent properties, your memories are still endeavoring to safeguard you and..."

Before the colossal beast could conclude its statement, Leon, Ilyana, and Tyrselle propelled themselves forward at their utmost speed, striking the monstrous entity with their fists. Astonishingly, the entirety of the creature's form shuddered, and it was even propelled backward slightly. The monster's myriad eyes widened in a fleeting moment of disbelief, but it quickly regained its composure.

"As I surmised, we must further sacrifice our memories," Tyrselle declared. "This level of power is far from adequate."

It was peculiar. Despite their full-hearted assaults, the attacks launched by Leon, Ilyana, and Tyrselle inflicted no visible wounds upon the beast. A tremendous impact was generated, sufficient to shift the creature's entire mass, yet no signs of injury were apparent. After a period of contemplation, Leon discerned that this was a consequence of their rudimentary mastery over memory energy. Their control being nascent, the energy dissipated upon impact. Leon deduced that, ultimately, the energy had reverted to his own body from all directions.

"Thank heavens this energy consistently returns to us," Leon muttered, a frown creasing his brow. "Were that not the case, its utilization would be exceedingly impractical, even if it were practically limitless."

"Focus on the adversary before us, Leon," Ilyana admonished. "Now is not the time for monologues and analysis of our newfound abilities."

"It cannot be helped," Leon responded with a shrug. "I am not inherently intuitive with matters of cultivation. I must meticulously analyze every facet before proceeding with incremental steps."

While Leon and Ilyana engaged in their seemingly casual discourse before a gargantuan monstrosity, their allies were momentarily exposed. It was but a brief instant, yet they had observed the flicker of astonishment on the monster's visage. However, they were more profoundly awed that mere handfuls of punches had managed to displace a being of planetary scale. Hector was the first to recover his composure. His customary demeanor, as always, aided him in this swift return to focus. Placing a hand on Amanda's and Maya's shoulders, he offered a smile.

"Let us advance," Hector urged. "We cannot permit Leon and his new comrades to claim all the glory. This is a momentous occasion. Failure to keep pace now would undoubtedly lead to future regret."

"Indeed," Amanda concurred, her eyes reflecting determination. "I have only had a few opportunities to fight alongside my brother. This is the final battle; I cannot forsake this chance."

"You are becoming overly sentimental with age, Mother," Maya remarked gently. "And you too, Father. Refrain from acting recklessly."

"We are not old!" Amanda and Hector protested in unison, their voices synchronized.

Before Leon, Ilyana, and Tyrselle could initiate another offensive, Hector, Amanda, and Maya surged forward. As anticipated, their assaults lacked the sheer magnitude of energy displayed by Leon and the others, yet the creature's entire form quivered once more.

"Well, if they can manage it, so can I," Gisela declared, biting her lip as a smile graced her features. "Indeed, failure to act would only invite personal embarrassment. All of you who still possess the courage to fight, follow me!"

"Gisela… such words are unbecoming of a lady," Lennart chided, his brow furrowed.

"A close-quarters engagement harnessing this novel power?" Tom grinned, his eyes alight with enthusiasm. "This is precisely what I've been seeking!"

These three then assaulted the immense beast, and the monster's body recoiled once again. At this juncture, there remained no logical recourse for the creator of the assimilation system to conceal its astonishment, and this display served amply to invigorate the morale of the assembled thousand warriors.

"Tsk. Gisela… that brute perpetually charges ahead without forethought," Yuki lamented, her teeth clenched. "How dare she perform such a dazzling feat before me? Ren, stay close! We must vanquish this fiend before she does."

"Yes, Your Majesty!" Ren affirmed with a respectful nod.

Following closely behind were Sasha, Betty, Crik, and all the remaining warriors. Despite their miraculous resurrection, a seed of doubt had resided within their minds, questioning the futility of their endeavors. However, witnessing the tangible effects of mere handfuls of attacks had decisively altered their perspective.

A relentless storm of punches and kicks rained down upon the monster's form. Though their grasp on memory energy was tentative, they effectively forced the creature backward with their relentless assault. Leon's recollection of his companions was notably indistinct, as his memories stemmed from Ilyana's experiences prior to the initial Reset. Nevertheless, a peculiar sensation bloomed in his left chest as he observed their fierce battle. More than that, Leon found himself involuntarily smiling. This moment oflevity, however, was short-lived. Despite the continuous onslaught, the monster had yet to retaliate, not even attempting to defend itself. Leon sensed an unnerving anomaly, well aware that such a formidable beast would not fall without a struggle.

Leon, Ilyana, and Tyrselle braced themselves for another all-out assault, but abruptly, the monster's body began to convulse unnaturally. Something momentous was imminent. Even Leon felt an instinctual urge to pull back, yet what transpired next defied all his expectations.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The monster erupted in laughter, leaving everyone stunned into silence. They had never anticipated such a grotesque creature could express mirth. For a fleeting instant, a thought flickered that perhaps this entity wasn't so dissimilar from them. However, this notion was swiftly dismissed.

"Intriguing… Most intriguing! To imagine that a swarm of insignificant insects like yourselves could incite such fervor within me. Come forth! Reveal your true capabilities! Slay me, and demonstrate that all my accumulated knowledge was a worthy sacrifice for achieving comparable power!
