Titan King: Ascension of the Giant Chapter 1644 The World Cleansing Dew

The others, who had just let out sighs of relief, instantly tensed again. As one, they turned to The Lifeless Dreadgod, expecting him to pull out another Myriad Crystal.
"What are you staring at? Do you think Myriad Crystals grow on trees?" The Lifeless Dreadgod scoffed. "They only form when the World Tree of a mid-to-large realm withers and dies. You could stare at me for ten thousand years, and I still wouldn't have a second one to give you."
He was bleeding his own reserves dry. If the World Tree didn't reward him with a massive surge of world Authority after this was over, he was going to lose his mind.
"Besides, with the ancient foundations of the Cult of Four, there's no way you lack similar artifacts," he snapped. "You started this mess. You fix it. If you constantly rely on outside help, you'll never attain a Divine Mantle, nor will you ever ascend to godhood."
It was the harsh truth, laced with biting mockery.
Maximilien, Kendry, and Eryx exchanged glances and nodded.
Under Orion's curious gaze, Archbishop Eryx produced a drop of crystalline dew. Floating within the droplet was a vibrant green World Tree seedling. Without explaining its function, Archbishop Eryx tossed the dewdrop at the World Tree's roots. It melted into the bark in the blink of an eye.
"World Cleansing Dew. Only a fanatic cult like yours could concoct such a thing." The Lifeless Dreadgod clearly recognized its origins.
Orion was likely the only one present who didn't. Even the Progenitor Insect phantom phantom showed no curiosity—only sheer shock and awe.
As the World Cleansing Dew merged with the roots, it acted like a catalyst for a dormant bloodline. The roots swelled, their surfaces erupting with countless ancient runes. In that moment, the World Tree's roots completely shattered the restraints of the Divine Idols, devouring the World Essence with the ferocity of a starving leviathan.
"Don't just stand there! Keep the Divine Idols pinned down. The longer we drag this out, the greater our advantage," The Lifeless Dreadgod roared. "When this world collapses, we devour the idols. Don't you want to taste the laws and Authority of the Four Gods? That is true divine law, true divine essence. Hehehe..."
With the World Tree breaking free, The Lifeless Dreadgod's inherent madness surged. As an ancient monstrosity, he never surrendered hard-won treasures for nothing. Everything he had done was to devour the laws and essence of the Four Gods. If he succeeded and consumed enough, he was confident he could shatter his bottlenecks, stepping straight into the sixth stage of the demigod realm to become a true apex entity.
Orion, the Progenitor Insect phantom, Maximilien, Kendry, and Eryx remained silent. Exchanging knowing glances, they threw themselves back into the grueling war of attrition.
Stoneheart City. Horde Hall.
Lilith, Rendall, and Onyx were managing the Horde's affairs in a side hall. An intelligence report detailing Pallas's successful sealing of the invaders had just landed in Rendall's hands, sending the old man into a fit of booming laughter.
"Hahaha! Worthy of the Stoneheart Horde's Giant Prince! Punching above his weight to battle an Arch Lord! Excellent! Excellent!"
Rendall's laughter was loud and boisterous, echoing freely through the room. The busy clerks and officials looked up, glancing curiously at the Horde elder.
In truth, Rendall lacked the administrative acumen of Lilith and Onyx. Lilith had only invited him to keep Onyx company and provide some idle chatter during their downtime. Besides, the old man had zero interest in paperwork. The only thing that kept him sitting there every day was reading the bizarre and fascinating intelligence reports filtering in from across the continent.
"Oh? Punching above his weight to fight an Arch Lord? Which prince is this?" Rendall's outburst naturally piqued Onyx's curiosity.
"Here, read it yourselves!" Rendall passed the parchment to Onyx. After scanning it, Onyx smiled and handed it over to Lilith.
Onyx waited until Lilith finished reading before speaking. "I always thought of Prince Pallas as a child. I didn't expect our Giant Prince to have grown up so fast. Congratulations, Lilith. Truly, congratulations!"
Onyx was praising Lilith, as Pallas was her own flesh and blood.
"He did alright, but he's still a far cry from his older brother and sister," Lilith replied.
It wasn't false modesty. She knew perfectly well that as Orion's son, Pallas possessed a terrifying bloodline. His combat power was guaranteed to be formidable.
"Sigh. To think back to the Black Forest... so many of our tribes spent centuries without producing a single Alpha level powerhouse," Rendall reminisced. "NNow? Legendary-level beings are a dime a dozen. You can't throw a stone without hitting one."
Rendall sighed deeply. He was at the Legendary level himself, but he had been stuck at that bottleneck for ages, unable to advance a single inch. He had watched generation after generation of Stoneheart Horde prodigies surpass him.
First it was Lorelia and Dirtclaw, then the younger generation like Elara and Caelus. Now it was Pallas, Fergus, and Tarn. Even his own grandson, Steelblade, boasted more combat power at the Legendary level than he did.
"Right now, the Stoneheart Horde needs more powerhouses. The more, the better." Onyx saw the bigger picture.
The Stoneheart Horde appeared invincible, but given the current state of the Titanion Realm, they were essentially surrounded by enemies on all sides. The foreign invaders mentioned in Lilith's report, for instance, were a brewing disaster.
"The Solar Celestials... what kind of faction are they?" Onyx looked up at Lilith. Among them, she had the most access to intelligence and knowledge of the outside world.
"I don't know," she admitted. "The Horde has shared external intelligence with some of our allies, but there is absolutely nothing on The Solar Celestials. As it stands, they are undoubtedly a super-faction. Moreover, a true god must have emerged from their ranks in the past. That is the only way to leave behind a divine bloodline."
Generally speaking, divine bloodlines could only be bequeathed by gods. Unique anomalies like Orion existed, but they were exceptionally rare. Regardless of the method, it always implied a god-level entity. The weak simply lacked the capacity to evolve divine blood.
"Furthermore, sealing The Solar Celestials' pawn in Lizard City was Orion's idea," Lilith continued. "It's a trap. Orion wants to use this piece as bait to lure out the bigger fish among The Solar Celestials. They will either become a powerful ally to the Stoneheart Horde, or Orion will bury them in Lizard City, one after another."
Lilith set the parchment down. She spoke with a blank expression, but a cold, murderous intent gathered in the depths of her eyes. Wielding immense power and authority, she was no longer the woman she used to be.
