Titan King: Ascension of the Giant Chapter 1611 Arcane Ultimatum

Stoneheart City housed the Dandelion Arcane Nursery. This institution, a collaborative effort between the Stoneheart Horde and the Order of the Dandelion, represented the city's initial, basic magic academy. Its primary objective was not to cultivate complete mages but to identify children within the Horde who possessed the innate ability to channel mana. Essentially, it functioned as an arcane preschool.
Inside the top-floor office, the nursery's principal and honorary principal observed the grounds below through expansive windows.
Dwarves were seen gripping training hammers. Buffalomen provided piggyback rides to these dwarves. A serpent-girl, her tail nervously tucked beneath her robes, occupied a corner. A Gnoll dashed by, clutching a beginner's spellbook. Human and elven children darted across the grass in pursuit of one another. In the middle of the yard, an Ogre cub lay in a deep, drooling slumber, observed by a captivated audience of toddlers from various races.
This was the Dandelion Arcane Nursery as perceived by Elara. It did not foster overwhelming hope, yet it did not induce disappointment either.
"Do not underestimate them," stated Grand Magus Rhazuun, his eyes reflecting the warmth of a farmer assessing a promising harvest. "They represent the most magically gifted generation we've encountered in years. Once the main arcane academy officially commences operations, they will become our inaugural true apprentices."
"I am not underestimating them," Elara responded. "They are the progeny of the Horde's most formidable warriors. They have inherited robust arcane aptitudes and potent racial characteristics. Naturally, they surpass apprentices who begin from absolute zero."
She perceived the situation with clarity. These children, precisely because of their advantageous starting point, were excellent prospects in the Grand Magus's view. They were assured to achieve the rank of High Mage, if not ascend even higher.
Rhazuun shifted his gaze from the yard to study Elara. He had not anticipated the eldest daughter wielding such significant authority within the Horde immediately following her return.
During the tumultuous period that engulfed the Titanion Realm, the alliance between the Order of the Dandelion and the Stoneheart Horde had stagnated. Rhazuun and the magi associated with him had largely written off the war-ravaged realm. However, the Stoneheart Horde not only endured the chaos and cataclysm but also managed to secure a portion of the world's Authority. To further astonish the Order's senior ranks, the Titanion Realm had successfully ascended to become an Ascendant Plane.
These developments underscored the critical nature of the relationship between the Order and Elara. Rhazuun's tone, usually tinged with casual confidence, now carried a subtle undercurrent of humility.
"Are you merely here to inspect the nursery today, Your Highness?" he inquired.
"I hold these children in high regard," Elara replied, a mysterious smile gracing her lips. After all, they were destined to become her most devoted subordinates. "And I am invested in the primary, secondary, and advanced academies you intend to establish throughout the continent."
Her smile vanished. "Grand Magus Rhazuun, you are falling behind schedule. The inauguration of the academies has been postponed. Whether the Order of the Dandelion orchestrated this delay intentionally is irrelevant to me. I am merely informing you that circumstances have shifted, and the Order is running out of time."
This was not an idle warning. Morando, the Vice-Speaker of the Saint Gran Council, had already arrived in Stoneheart City and concluded numerous pacts with the Horde.
"Your Highness, I offer my apologies," Rhazuun stated, stepping forward to accept responsibility. "This was not the Order's intent. It was a personal misjudgment on my part."
"Spare your apologies. We are unconcerned with who conceived the delay, nor is the Horde seeking to assign blame," Elara retorted. "However, one fact is undeniable: the Order of the Dandelion is being shortsighted."
She cast a glance at the Grand Magus. Having engaged with him multiple times, she held respect for his character; he was a commendable mentor. An individual of his disposition would not halt cooperation with the Horde on a mere whim. Furthermore, with his power limited to the Arch Lord tier, he lacked the authority to enact such a significant policy change.
"Allow me to share a secret with you, Grand Magus," Elara continued. "A few days ago, a Vice-Speaker from the Saint Gran Council arrived in this city. He has already finalized several arcane agreements with my father. The Mage Association you have aspired to create? That initiative has just been claimed by the Vice-Speaker."
The words struck Rhazuun like a thunderclap, leaving his mind reeling.
"Should your arcane academies fail to commence operations," Elara concluded, "I anticipate the Saint Gran Council will readily disseminate their magic and doctrines across this continent."
This was a dire ultimatum. This particular realm was an Ascendant Plane, and should the Order fail to seize this fleeting chance, strict accountability from his superiors was certain.
"Your Highness, is this truly happening?" Rhazuun blurted out, a question he immediately wished he could retract.
As the eldest daughter of the Stoneheart Horde and a principal leader within it, her standing was such that she possessed no reason to fabricate such a statement.
"My apologies." The Grand Magus offered a profound bow, seeking pardon for his moment of doubt.
Elara gestured dismissively and exited the office. The pressure exerted on Rhazuun was, in effect, pressure on the Order of the Dandelion. This was the directive of Orion, and the unified will of the entire Horde. It also represented the initial phase of an extensive long-term plan, aiming to facilitate Elara's infiltration and subsequent absorption of the Order.
And the starting point for all of this was the academies.
The World Tree. The Primordial Source.
A disquieting tremor, exuding a malevolent aura, violently roused Orion from his slumber. Upon opening his eyes while seated on the World Tree's throne, The Lifeless Dreadgod, Archbishop Kysar, and Moriphara manifested within The Primordial Realm.
To be precise, it was a subtle maneuver by The Lifeless Dreadgod that had triggered their awakening.
A profound, abyssal corruption emanated from the branch occupied by The Lifeless Dreadgod, insidiously spreading through the World Tree's very essence and aggressively intruding upon the branches held by Orion, Kysar, and Moriphara.
The sensation was akin to an insidious infection. This wicked power aimed to corrupt them, intent on defiling their portions of the World Tree with its dark stain.
"Has he completed his mobilization?" Orion mused aloud.
The aggressive stance of The Lifeless Dreadgod conveyed a single, unmistakable message: he was prepared for conflict.
The momentous battle for dominion over the continents had, in earnest, commenced.
